Chinatown Cendol Reviews
The cendol was alright! Sweet, soupy and had appropriate fillings/toppings. The peanuts added a great salty feel to the otherwise sweet concoction. But I understand that this dessert might not be everyone's cup of tea. I didn't love it enough to come back and try it again.Service was quick and easy. The main server at the front desk was jolly and energetic. The interiors of the café were bright and clean.
Jan 03, 2025 · PratyayWe came in on a Thursday at 10:30am. They were not opened yet, still mopping the floor but still allowed us to order. That was nice. Unfortunately they didn’t have any durian at all at the time so we didn’t try. They also couldn’t tell me when they will have durian. I hope to return in the near future when it’s available.
May 25, 2025 · Hi I AmThe cendol here is alright, though definitely on the pricier side. If you’re looking for a cheaper option, the roadside stalls might be a better choice. I ordered the Musang King cendol. Personally, I found the taste just fine, despite some of the negative reviews I saw later. Luckily, I tried it before reading the comments!
Feb 04, 2025 · Tasha KrishTried cendol for the first time. Not very much impressed. It’s just a huge ice shaving mountain with other stuff and the price for this was more. I wouldn’t try cendol here again or anywhere else. The beans, pandan jelly, sweet corn along with palm sugar and coconut milk on a ball of ice shavings as dessert. No! It’s not for me. Nothing special about it.
Dec 25, 2024 · Rachitha KoteWORST cendol experience, the store supervisor (lady in picture) is very rude, I ordered 2 bowls of cendol and requested for 1 extra bowl so my colleague who is visiting from China can try it too, but she requested me to pay extra for the extra bowl, when I questioned her about the sign infront that says FOC 1 bowl for every cendol bowl ordered, she said that one no more, then why still put that sign infront??? Intentionally misleading customers, she then proceeds to ask me to talk to her boss if I am unsatisfied lol, the audacity to speak like thatWhen the 2 bowls of cendol arrived, the taste was so HORRIBLE, everything tasted artificial, and to make matters worse, the red bean is spoiled, they have been using overnight red bean and it tasted very sour & smelly, when I questioned the store supervisor about it, she ignored me, luckily another customer also complained about the red bean, and she finally had to call her boss to remedy the situation.Long story short, they wanted to make me 2 new bowls of cendol, which I declined and requested for refund instead, but still they dont allow for refund and I had to order their canned drinks to "compensate"BAD experience, EXPENSIVE cendol RM12 a bowl for normal cendol, and TERRIBLE customer service
