Laman Tuanku Introduce
Hello, Kuala Lumpur! As residents of this dynamic city, we often crave green spaces where we can unwind, reconnect with nature, and simply breathe. While our city is known for its towering structures and vibrant pace, it also holds tranquil spots that offer a perfect respite. Today, we're delighted to introduce you to Laman Tuanku, a charming neighbourhood park nestled in Sri Hartamas. This isn't just any park; it's a beautifully designed urban oasis that has quickly become a beloved spot for locals seeking a blend of natural beauty and culinary delight, making it a truly unique addition to Kuala Lumpur's recreational landscape.
Laman Tuanku offers more than just green lawns and pathways; it's a thoughtfully curated space designed to foster community and provide a peaceful escape. What truly sets it apart, and perhaps makes it a "hidden gem" as some locals describe, is the presence of the exquisite Cafe Laman Tuanku (also known as LIT Cafe) within its serene confines. Imagine enjoying a delicious, healthy meal or a specialty coffee in a luxurious, hotel-like setting, all while surrounded by lush greenery and the pleasant ambiance of a well-maintained park. This synergy of nature and sophisticated dining creates an experience that is both refreshing and surprisingly upscale, right in the heart of our bustling city. Whether you're looking for a peaceful morning stroll, an evening walk under the stars, or a delightful brunch experience, Laman Tuanku promises a unique and rewarding visit for every Kuala Lumpur local.
Laman Tuanku is conveniently located at 66, Jalan Sri Hartamas 1, Taman Sri Hartamas, 50480 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This address places it squarely within the well-established and easily accessible neighbourhood of Sri Hartamas, a vibrant area known for its residential communities, commercial hubs, and diverse dining options.
For those driving, finding Laman Tuanku is straightforward. The park and its cafe are situated in a prominent spot, and reviews mention "161 open parking spaces," indicating ample parking availability within the premises, which is a huge advantage in a busy area like Sri Hartamas. This makes it a convenient destination for families and individuals travelling by car. While Sri Hartamas doesn't have a direct LRT or MRT station within immediate walking distance, it is well-served by ride-hailing services like Grab, providing easy access from various parts of Kuala Lumpur. Numerous bus routes also traverse the Sri Hartamas area. The park's proximity to major roads ensures relatively smooth access for visitors. Its location "just across the road to the Palace" (National Palace/Istana Negara) adds a touch of regal charm and makes it an interesting point of reference for navigation. The ease of accessibility ensures that locals can readily integrate a visit to Laman Tuanku into their daily routines or weekend plans.
Laman Tuanku is a multi-faceted space that combines the tranquility of a park with the comforts of a modern cafe, offering a range of services for its visitors. Here’s a breakdown of what you can expect:

What makes Laman Tuanku a truly compelling destination in Kuala Lumpur? It's a combination of unique features and key highlights that contribute to its charm and popularity among locals. These aspects create a distinct experience that sets it apart:
- Hidden Cafe Gem - Cafe Laman Tuanku (LIT Cafe): This is arguably the biggest highlight. Described as "hidden" and "inconspicuous from the outside," stepping into its "spacious semi luxurious interiors resembling a cafe in a hotel" is a delightful surprise. Its quality and ambiance elevate the entire park experience.
- Asian-Western Fusion Cuisine: The cafe's menu is a major draw, offering delicious and notably healthy options like the "juicy chicken" salad "showered with cheese and olive oil." This fusion approach appeals to a broad range of tastes, providing high-quality meals within a park setting.
- Exceptional Hospitality: Customer reviews consistently praise the "pleasant waiters" and their "exclusive flair to their style of hospitality." This level of service, often associated with high-end establishments, is a significant green flag for frequent visits and enhances the overall dining experience.
- Strategic Proximity to the National Palace: Being located "just across the road to the Palace" (Istana Negara) offers a unique and prestigious backdrop. The anecdote about regular visits from the Agong adds an intriguing, exclusive touch to the cafe's story.
- Well-Designed Neighbourhood Park: Despite being a "small neighbourhood park," it is "well designed," maximizing its space for recreational use. This thoughtful layout contributes to its peaceful and enjoyable atmosphere.
- Suitable for Night Walks: The presence of "CCTVS all around" and the feeling of being "pretty safe too" make it an ideal spot for evening strolls, allowing locals to enjoy the cooler temperatures and serene ambiance after dark.
- Public Amenities: The provision of a Surau (prayer room) and well-placed toilets (with the understanding that maintenance is key) makes the park practical and comfortable for extended visits.
- Versatile Event Spaces: The park offers a unique natural setting for booking events, from bazaars to small weddings, providing a distinct alternative to conventional venues.
- Ample Parking: The mention of "161 open parking space" indicates great convenience for visitors, alleviating the common city problem of finding parking.
- Early Soft Opening Success: The positive early reviews after its "second day soft opening" (as of 20.10.24) suggest strong potential and a promising future for the cafe and park.
As Laman Tuanku is primarily a public park complemented by a commercial cafe, Cafe Laman Tuanku (LIT Cafe), any promotions or special offers would predominantly stem from the cafe itself. Given that the cafe had just soft-opened around late 2024 (as per the review), it's a prime time for them to introduce initial offers to attract customers. While specific current promotions are not publicly detailed, based on typical cafe practices, locals in Kuala Lumpur might expect or find:
- Opening/Soft Launch Specials: During its initial operational phase, the cafe may have offered introductory discounts or special combo meals to entice first-time visitors and build a customer base.
- Set Lunch/Breakfast Deals: Many cafes, especially those targeting daily visitors like those going for breakfast or lunch, often have attractive set menus that offer better value than ala carte orders. Given the review mentions it as a spot for "bfast and lunch," this is highly probable.
- Coffee/Beverage Promotions: Deals such as "buy one, get one free" on certain drinks during specific hours, or discounts on coffee when paired with a pastry.
- Loyalty Programs: As it aims for "frequent visits," the cafe might introduce a loyalty card or a digital points system for returning customers to earn rewards or discounts.
- Weekend Brunch Specials: Given its serene park setting, the cafe might roll out special weekend brunch menus or promotions to attract families and groups.
- Seasonal/Festive Offers: Keep an eye out for special menus or discounts during major Malaysian holidays (e.g., Hari Raya, Chinese New Year) or other festive seasons.
- Event Booking Packages: If Laman Tuanku offers venue rental, there might be introductory packages for booking the garden or specific areas for events like photoshoots or small gatherings.
For the most up-to-date and accurate information on current promotions or special offers, it is highly recommended to visit Laman Tuanku and its cafe directly, check their official social media pages (if available), or give them a call. Their "pleasant waiters" would surely be happy to inform you!
To plan your visit or get in touch with Laman Tuanku and the Cafe Laman Tuanku (LIT Cafe), here are the essential contact details:
- Address: 66, Jalan Sri Hartamas 1, Taman Sri Hartamas, 50480 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
- Phone: 03-2070 0033
- Mobile Phone: +60 3-2070 0033
These numbers can be used for general inquiries about the park, or more specifically, for reservations at the cafe, catering requests, or inquiries about booking the venue for events. It is always advisable to call ahead for confirmed operating hours, especially for the cafe, as the park itself generally has longer operating hours (7:00 am - 10:00 pm daily as per some sources). Given the recent soft opening mentioned in reviews, checking directly is the best way to get the latest information.
For the discerning residents of Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Laman Tuanku in Sri Hartamas offers a uniquely compelling proposition, making it an incredibly suitable and appealing destination for a multitude of reasons. It perfectly blends urban convenience with natural serenity and sophisticated dining, catering to a wide array of local preferences.
Firstly, its primary draw for locals is its dual identity as a "small neighbourhood park" with a high-quality, "hidden cafe". In a bustling city like KL, finding a green space that also offers a premium dining experience like Cafe Laman Tuanku is rare. Locals appreciate the ability to enjoy a refreshing morning walk, an evening stroll, or a family outing in a peaceful setting, seamlessly transitioning into enjoying "delicious healthy meal" and specialty coffees in a "spacious semi luxurious interiors resembling a cafe in a hotel." This combination caters to both the desire for relaxation and the love for good food within one accessible location.
Secondly, the strategic location in Sri Hartamas with "ample parking space" is a significant advantage. Locals value convenience, and the ease of access via car, coupled with the availability of Grab services, means Laman Tuanku is an effortless escape. Its proximity "across the road to the Palace" also adds a subtle layer of prestige and makes it an interesting landmark. The fact that it's "pretty safe too" with "CCTVS all around" makes it particularly appealing for night walks, a popular activity in KL's cooler evenings.
Finally, the exceptional service and potential for community engagement truly resonate with the local Malaysian hospitality. The "pleasant waiters" with their "exclusive flair" elevate the experience beyond mere transaction, fostering a welcoming environment that encourages "frequent visits." Furthermore, the park's potential for hosting community events, bazaars, or even small weddings, suggests it's designed to be a vibrant hub where locals can connect and celebrate. Laman Tuanku is more than just a park or a cafe; it’s a thoughtfully designed urban haven that provides respite, fosters well-being, and serves as a delightful community gathering spot, making it an indispensable part of the Kuala Lumpur local experience.

Laman Tuanku Reviews
Small neighbourhood park that has its audience. The cafe does draw traffic to the site. Well designed but continued operations and maintenance is key. Toilets need to be maintained to ensure they function.Great place for night walks!
May 29, 2025 · cheekee yongTheres a hidden cafe in this park called Cafe Laman Tuanku.Despite the inconspicuous appearance from the outside, you will step into a spacious semi luxurious interiors resembling a cafe in a hotel.Rumoured to be owned by a Tan Sri😁 , this cafe is located just across the road to the Palace. Dont be surprised, the pleasant waiters of this cafe have had regular visits from the current Agong himself due to its proximity to the Palace. The price, although its slightly above average but its still comparable to the cafes in Hartamas or Publika .Again, really pleasant waiters. Although young, these waiters appear to have a certain exclusive flair to their style of hospitality. You have to experience it to know what i mean😁😁. For me thats a green flag for frequent visits. At the point of posting ie 20.10.24, they have just had their second day soft opening. The food is asian- western fusion and i think i found my next favourite chicken salad spot. Juicy chicken and the salad is showered with cheese and olive oil i think. Delicious healthy meal.😁😁Its located in a park open for public but due to its proximity with the Palace, i think not many are aware of its location yet.The small park suprisingly has Surau, toilets and CCTVS all around. Looks pretty safe too.So, ill be frequenting this cafe for my bfast and lunch soon. All the best Cafe Laman Tuanku and welcome to the neighborhood.😁😁👍
