This mosque is not just a building; it is a vital center where locals can gather for prayers, religious learning, and strengthening bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood. Known for its welcoming atmosphere and practical facilities, Al-Huda Mosque serves as an invaluable resource for the Muslim community in this part of Selangor.
This article aims to provide a comprehensive overview of Al-Huda Mosque, detailing its convenient location, the range of services it offers, and the standout features that make it a cherished spot for many. From its thoughtful amenities to its commitment to fostering community, Al-Huda Mosque truly embodies the spirit of a local mosque serving its people.
Al-Huda Mosque is strategically located at Lot 3030 kg, Kampung Paya Jaras, 47000 Sungai Buloh, Selangor, Malaysia. Its address within Kampung Paya Jaras makes it easily accessible for residents of the immediate neighborhood and surrounding areas in Sungai Buloh. Being situated in a more residential and kampung-style setting, the mosque offers a sense of tranquility away from the heavy traffic of urban centers, yet remains conveniently reachable.
For those driving, the mosque provides a "decent and good enough" parking area. While it might get crowded during peak times like Friday prayers or special events, visitors who arrive a little earlier often find sufficient space. This is a significant advantage, as parking can often be a challenge at popular places of worship. The proximity of the praying area to essential facilities like toilets and ablution areas is also a key highlight, ensuring convenience for congregants. The roads leading to the mosque are generally well-maintained, allowing for smooth access by private vehicles. For individuals relying on public transportation, a combination of ride-hailing services or local bus routes connecting to Sungai Buloh's main arteries would likely be the most practical approach, followed by a short walk or taxi ride to the mosque itself.
Al-Huda Mosque offers a range of services designed to cater to the spiritual and communal needs of its congregants:
Daily and Friday Congregational Prayers (Solat Fardhu & Jumaat): The mosque facilitates all five daily prayers in congregation, providing a structured environment for Muslims to fulfill their religious obligations. It also holds the essential Friday prayers (Solat Jumaat), serving as a central gathering point for male Muslims in the vicinity.
Iftar and Tarawih Prayers during Ramadan: During the holy month of Ramadan, Al-Huda Mosque actively organizes iftar (breaking of fast) sessions, often providing free food for congregants. This fosters a strong sense of community and shared spiritual experience. Following iftar, special Tarawih and Witir prayers are conducted, led by an Imam whose soothing recitation is often highlighted by attendees.
Religious Classes and Lectures (Tazkirah/Ceramah): Like many mosques, Al-Huda Mosque likely hosts regular religious talks and classes covering various aspects of Islamic knowledge, Fiqh, and character building, aimed at educating and inspiring the community. While not explicitly detailed in the reviews, this is a standard and crucial service of any active mosque.
Ablution Facilities (Wudu' Area): The mosque provides well-maintained and conveniently located ablution areas for both male and female congregants. The recent extension of the female ablution area indicates a commitment to improving facilities and comfort for all.
Water Filter Access: A thoughtful amenity mentioned by a reviewer is the presence of a water filter (potentially Coway or Cuckoo). This allows visitors to access hot water, which is particularly convenient for those who wish to bring their own tea or coffee supplies to enjoy hot drinks, especially after prayers or during longer stays.
Easy Donation Options: For the convenience of congregants, the mosque offers QR code options for donations. This modern approach makes it easy for individuals to contribute to the mosque's upkeep and activities, even if they don't have cash on hand.
Al-Huda Mosque boasts several features that enhance the worship and community experience:
Strategic and Sufficient Parking: The availability of a "quite decent and good enough" parking area is a significant advantage, particularly in residential areas where parking can be challenging. This thoughtful provision ensures that congregants can attend prayers and events with less hassle.
Convenient Facility Proximity: A standout feature is the close distance from the praying area to the toilet facilities. This "bonus point," as highlighted by a reviewer, is crucial for comfort and ease, especially for those needing to refresh their ablution.
Extended Female Ablution Area: The recent extension of the female ablution area demonstrates the mosque's commitment to inclusivity and ensuring comfortable facilities for all genders. This improvement directly addresses the needs of its female congregants.
Community Iftar and Delicious Food: During Ramadan, the provision of free iftar food, including local favorites like "tepung pelita Paya Jaras," creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. The mindful portioning to avoid wastage also reflects responsible management.
Comfortable Prayer Area for Tarawih: The praying area is described as "quite decent for terawih session," suggesting ample space and a conducive environment for longer prayers during Ramadan nights. The soothing recitation by the Imam adds to the spiritual experience, even with shorter verses.
Modern Donation System: The presence of QR codes for donations showcases the mosque's adoption of modern technology to facilitate easy contributions, ensuring its continued maintenance and growth through community support.
As a mosque, Al-Huda Mosque operates as a non-profit religious institution and does not offer commercial promotions or special offers in the typical sense. However, its "offerings" are spiritual and communal, providing immense value to its congregants and the wider community:
Complimentary Iftar Meals: During Ramadan, the provision of free iftar meals, including local delicacies, is a significant benefit to the community, promoting unity and shared spiritual experience.
Access to Free Hot Water: The availability of a water filter offering hot water is a thoughtful amenity, providing convenience for congregants who wish to make hot drinks, especially beneficial during long prayer sessions or colder evenings.
Free Spiritual Guidance and Education: All religious classes, lectures, and guidance provided by the Imam and other scholars are offered free of charge, making spiritual learning accessible to everyone.
Fostering Community Bonds: The mosque actively fosters a sense of community through communal prayers and events, which is an invaluable social and spiritual "offer" to its congregants.

May 17, 2024 · MS AhadWent for iftar & terawih prayer on 30/03/2023. The parking area were quite decent and good enough for the crowd (but if the mosque were full maybe the parking wont be enough). Since we came a bit late at about 6.57pm +- but the mosque were still almost empty. We noticed that they had extended the area where there were female ablution area. The free food provided for iftar and the portion was not that much maybe because the people who came for iftar were not many so there was no wastage issue. There was 1 tray of the famous tepung pelita Paya Jaras, yummy! They do have water filter (not sure Coway or Cuckoo), so if you are planning to have hot drinks, you can being your own bottle/flask with your own tea/coffee and just take the hot water from the water filter. The praying area was quite decent for terawih session. The distance from the praying area to the toilet was close and that the bonus point! We then proceeded with Maghrib prayer and we used the free time to do our things before proceeded with Isya' prayer & terawih. The imam performed 8 rakaat of terawih with 3 rakaat of witir before reciting tahlil. Though we finished at around 9.56pm but the imam recited short ayat and the recitation was soothing. There were also QR code for easy donation if you forgot to bring your money.
