Dec 16, 2024 · Alicia NgWe had an amazing time camping here! Friendly camp operators and lush beautiful forest all around. The river is so clean and kids friendly definitely but also have deep area for adults to enjoy as well. Wait there's more, apart from their cold deep river, you can keep warm in their humble yet restful hot spring pool!! How cool is that?! Their toilet is for the win i tell you! Resort level like la, they're clean and cosy! We highly recommend camping here if you chase for a luxury nature retreat and gorgeous view! The campsite practises leave no trace principles so please keep the campground clean as it is and bring out your trash.

Jun 20, 2024 · Edlyn AlayaCastra Sahom Valley is truly a beautiful, well-preserved, and clean campsite. Nestled beside a stunning river, the setting feels like a hidden gem. The river has a rocky stream, but the water is crystal clear and refreshingly cold. The campsite itself sits on higher ground along the riverbank, making it a safe spot even in the event of a sudden rise in water levels. The campsite has plenty of toilets, clearly separated for men and women. Water comes directly from the river, so yes, it’s cold! It’s pumped into large tanks placed on higher ground next to the toilets, which helps maintain strong water pressure. Electricity is supplied from the TNB grid, and if you need access to power, just reach out to the campsite owner (CO).There are plenty of wash sinks set up around the camp lots, making it easy to clean your dishes after meals.Just past the gated entrance, you’ll find a parking bay that can fit up to 15 vehicles. There’s also a designated spot nearby where you can conveniently load and unload your camping gear. When it comes to lighting, the campsite is well-lit, especially along the paths between the toilets and the tents, so getting around at night is safe and easy. The campsite practices a “leave no trace” principle, so you won’t find any trash bins around. Campers are expected to manage their own waste and take all garbage with them when checking out. For your convenience, there’s a public waste bin for household trash available at the Sahom community hall, just 4 km from the campsite. The campsite also features a cozy café that serves coffee, waffles, and coffles. So, if you’re craving a warm latte, just head over to Castra Café, it’s prepared with full of love by the CO’s friendly and cheerful spouse, who also happens to be the barista. One of the standout features of the “Cozy & Wild, Sense of Nature” campsite is its natural hot spring. Tucked away in a quiet corner of the site, it’s the perfect spot to soak your feet or your whole body and unwind. It’s just a short 200-meter walk from the toilets, and along the way, you’ll pass the CO’s charming little wooden house. The beautifully landscaped surroundings, lovingly designed by the CO himself, make the walk feel like part of the experience.
