HOTEL RAMPAI ROOMS Introduce
For us, residents of Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, there are moments when a hotel becomes a necessary consideration. This could be for accommodating out-of-town guests, a brief overnight stay during a late-night event, or simply a temporary base while home repairs are underway. We understand the importance of finding lodging that is not only convenient and accessible but also fits within a specific budget. This guide aims to provide a transparent and factual overview of HOTEL RAMPAI ROOMS, situated in Taman Sri Rampai, to help our local community in Kuala Lumpur make an informed decision about this particular lodging option.
HOTEL RAMPAI ROOMS positions itself as a budget-friendly establishment in a well-established area of Kuala Lumpur. While reviews from real customers present a mixed picture, ranging from significant issues with room quality and service to general acceptance, it's crucial to understand what this hotel typically offers within its price segment. Our focus here is to present available public data about its location, expected services, and features, and to provide a balanced perspective for locals who might consider it for their specific short-term accommodation needs. We will delve into its accessibility, the amenities one might expect from a budget hotel, and ultimately, who this hotel might be most suitable for within our vibrant city.
HOTEL RAMPAI ROOMS is located at 31-1, Jalan 45/26, Taman Sri Rampai, 53300 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This address places the hotel squarely within Taman Sri Rampai, a mature and bustling residential and commercial area in the northeastern part of Kuala Lumpur. This strategic location offers a blend of local amenities and reasonable connectivity to other parts of the city.
In terms of public transport accessibility, HOTEL RAMPAI ROOMS benefits from its proximity to the Sri Rampai LRT station, which is part of the Kelana Jaya Line. According to available information, the Sri Rampai LRT station is approximately 800 meters to 1.9 km from the hotel, which could be a walk of about 10-15 minutes or a very short ride. This LRT line offers direct connectivity to major hubs like KLCC, KL Sentral, and other key commercial and tourist destinations across Kuala Lumpur. For guests relying on public transport, this linkage is highly convenient for navigating the city without the need for a private vehicle. Additionally, Taman Sri Rampai is well-served by RapidKL buses, with various routes passing through or near the area (e.g., bus routes 250, 251, GOKL-09, T251). These bus services provide extensive local connectivity within Setapak, Wangsa Maju, and beyond, connecting to other LRT stations and points of interest.
For those who prefer to drive, the hotel's location in Taman Sri Rampai provides relatively good road access. It is situated off Jalan Genting Klang, a major arterial road that offers direct routes to the Kuala Lumpur city centre. Furthermore, the area has reasonable access to major expressways such as the Duta-Ulu Kelang Expressway (DUKE) and the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2), facilitating travel to various parts of Kuala Lumpur and even Selangor. Ride-sharing services like Grab are also readily available in this established area, offering flexible and convenient door-to-door transportation. The immediate vicinity of the hotel in Taman Sri Rampai is replete with local eateries, convenience stores, and other essential services, adding to the practicality and ease for guests during their stay.
As a budget-oriented hotel, HOTEL RAMPAI ROOMS typically offers a fundamental set of services aimed at providing a no-frills, essential stay. Based on common expectations for hotels in this category and some aggregated public information, here are the likely services guests can expect:
Air-Conditioned Rooms: All rooms are generally equipped with air conditioning, which is a necessary comfort feature in Kuala Lumpur's tropical climate.
Private Bathrooms: Each room is expected to include a private attached bathroom with a shower, and sometimes a bathtub, offering basic sanitary facilities.
Basic Room Amenities: Rooms are furnished with a bed, fresh linens (though quality may vary based on reviews), and potentially a small table or chair. Some rooms may include a television.
Free Wi-Fi: Complimentary Wi-Fi access is typically provided in rooms and public areas, allowing guests to stay connected. However, one review specifically noted issues with the Wi-Fi not working.
Housekeeping: Basic daily housekeeping services are usually offered to ensure rooms are cleaned and maintained, though review feedback on cleanliness can be inconsistent.
24-Hour Front Desk (Potentially): While not explicitly confirmed in the provided reviews, many budget hotels offer a 24-hour reception for flexible check-ins and assistance, although one customer review suggested issues with staff availability during late hours.
Security: Basic security measures such as CCTV surveillance and controlled access to rooms are typically in place for guest safety.
Restaurant (Limited Information): Some public listings for HOTEL RAMPAI ROOMS mention a restaurant. However, a customer review indicated a lack of good local restaurants where staff speak English, implying that an on-site restaurant might be very basic or not the primary dining option for guests.
It is important to acknowledge that some customer reviews highlight significant issues with room quality, cleanliness (e.g., "bed sheets smell bad"), noise levels ("ac too noisy"), limited amenities (e.g., "only two sockets in the room for charging both are faulted," "no tv and no toiletteries"), and staff conduct. These points suggest that expectations for service quality should be tempered for this budget accommodation.
HOTEL RAMPAI ROOMS, as a budget hotel in Taman Sri Rampai, has certain features and highlights that might appeal to specific segments of the local Kuala Lumpur community, despite the notable concerns raised in customer reviews. Its primary advantages are rooted in its location and basic functionality for very short stays.
Strategic Location in Taman Sri Rampai: The hotel’s position in Taman Sri Rampai is a key highlight. This area offers a genuine local experience with numerous eateries, shops, and amenities, making it convenient for guests to access daily necessities and immerse themselves in a non-touristy environment. It’s particularly suitable for those who have business or family in the immediate vicinity.
Proximity to Sri Rampai LRT Station: With the Sri Rampai LRT station being a reasonable distance away (800m - 1.9km), the hotel offers decent connectivity to Kuala Lumpur's public transport network. This is beneficial for guests who rely on the LRT for commuting to city center attractions or other parts of the Klang Valley.
Budget-Friendly Accommodation: For travelers or locals seeking the absolute lowest price point for an overnight stay, HOTEL RAMPAI ROOMS might be considered. Its classification as a budget hotel means it targets guests for whom cost is the primary determining factor.
Air Conditioning in Rooms: The presence of air conditioning in rooms provides a basic level of comfort, which is essential in Kuala Lumpur's hot climate.
Basic Private Bathroom: The availability of private bathrooms in each room offers essential privacy and convenience, compared to shared facilities found in hostels.
However, it is crucial to address the significant negative feedback from customer reviews, which impact the perceived highlights:
Room Condition and Cleanliness Concerns: Reviewers consistently report issues such as "room that no one would accept to live in," "bed sheets smell bad," "poor flooring with old look," "wall paint is old dirty yellowish and fall off," and "toilet floor a little bit sticky." These indicate major concerns regarding hygiene and room maintenance.
Small Room Size and Lack of Ventilation: Rooms are described as "very very small" with "no any ventilation" and "no space for solat also!" This indicates they are not suitable for families or those requiring more space.
Noise Issues: "AC too noisy" and "soundproof is very very bad" with noise from staff suggest poor sound insulation, impacting comfort.
Limited Functioning Amenities: Reports of "only two sockets in the room for charging both are faulted," "wifi not working," "no tv and no toiletteries" indicate that even basic advertised amenities may not be fully functional or provided.
Negative Staff Conduct: Multiple reviews highlight rude and unhelpful staff interactions, including issues with check-out times, demands for additional cash payments beyond online bookings, and aggressive communication.
Given these significant drawbacks, potential guests should carefully weigh the low cost against the reported poor quality of the stay and service.

It is strongly recommended to contact the hotel directly for the most current information on room availability, pricing, and to clarify any specific concerns, especially those highlighted in customer reviews, before making a booking. While the phone number is provided, some reviews mention difficulties with communication or staff demeanor. You might also find listings on online booking platforms, but exercise caution and review recent feedback carefully.
Considering all available information, HOTEL RAMPAI ROOMS, located in Taman Sri Rampai, presents a challenging proposition for locals in Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur. While its location might appear convenient for certain needs, the significant negative feedback from real customers suggests it is largely unsuitable for most typical local accommodation requirements.
Its primary (and perhaps only) suitability for locals might be for an absolute last-minute, emergency, and extremely budget-constrained single-night stay where other options are entirely unavailable, and where expectations for cleanliness, comfort, and service are extremely low. For instance, if one urgently needs a place to shelter for a few hours before an early morning flight or after a very late-night event, and every other hotel is fully booked or out of budget, it might be considered as an absolute final resort. The hotel’s proximity to public transport (Sri Rampai LRT) does offer a degree of accessibility for those without private transportation.
However, it is crucial to emphasize that the extensive negative reviews, detailing issues with room cleanliness ("bed sheets smell bad"), poor maintenance ("poor flooring," "sink also almost drop off"), lack of functioning amenities ("faulted sockets," "wifi not working," "no tv"), small room sizes ("very very small no any ventilation"), noise, and especially rude staff conduct, strongly indicate that this hotel does not meet even basic standards of comfort and hospitality expected by most travelers, including locals. For families, the small room size and lack of space for prayer (solat) are significant drawbacks. The reported issues with unexpected additional payments and unhelpful staff during check-out are also major red flags that could lead to a highly unpleasant experience.
In conclusion, while the location in Taman Sri Rampai offers accessibility, the overwhelming negative feedback on almost every aspect of the stay suggests that HOTEL RAMPAI ROOMS is generally not suitable for locals in Kuala Lumpur seeking a comfortable, clean, or pleasant temporary accommodation experience. It appears to fall short on basic hospitality standards, making it very difficult to recommend for typical local needs, even for budget-conscious individuals, as the potential for a distressing experience seems high. It would be advisable for locals to explore other budget hotel options in the surrounding areas of Wangsa Maju or Setapak that may offer better value and service quality, even if it means a slightly higher price.

Jan 25, 2025 · Jas & mey infoI had to be sent away by the hotel staff on New Year's Eve because I and my husband wanted to check in. He said it was full even though I booked online.. I was sent away just like my husband was sent away as we come as partners not spouses.. I already paid online.. anyone who gets married young feels like entering this hotel they have to tap the wedding card on their forehead. If you don't have to send me away.. I already asked why you want to send me all the booking pictures.. he looked at me up and down.. I don't think he's judging me because he remembers getting married.. I know that many people do this on New Year's Eve. But the one who has this relationship has to do it at home..
