Excellent char keow tiow. Coffee was good too. Not expensive at all. I am not sure if they serve other dishes but you can ask. Friendly lady boss. I didn't know about this place, I walked pass it and was captured by the char keow tiow's aroma. The wok hei was tremendous. Must try. By the way it's durian season and there's a durian seller currently selling musang king at their shopfront. ✌🏻 - George Lee

Kedai Kopi Cheong Fatt has been a beloved fixture in Bentong for over 60 years, a testament to its enduring appeal and consistent quality. This long history means it’s a place steeped in local stories and memories, a spot where generations have gathered to "yumcha" (have tea) or "lim teh" (drink tea/coffee), share news, and simply enjoy the simple pleasures of life. While Bentong boasts numerous kopitiams, Kedai Kopi Cheong Fatt stands out as a genuine local favorite, known particularly for its exceptional Char Keow Tiow and robust coffee. Customers often feel like they are "travelling back to the 50's" upon entering, thanks to its preserved, old-world ambiance, complete with tables that evoke the style of old Hong Kong coffee shops. This unique atmosphere, combined with its delicious and affordable offerings, makes Kedai Kopi Cheong Fatt an essential visit for anyone in Pahang looking for an authentic and unpretentious local dining experience that offers a true taste of Bentong’s culinary soul.

The central position of the coffee shop allows it to seamlessly integrate into the daily routines of locals, making it a convenient stop for breakfast, a mid-morning coffee break, or an afternoon treat. Its established presence on such a prominent street has undoubtedly contributed to its long-standing reputation as a beloved local haunt in Pahang.

While Kedai Kopi Cheong Fatt doesn't typically advertise formal "promotions" or "special offers" in the way a modern franchise might, its inherent value lies in its consistent quality and affordability, which act as a standing offer to its loyal clientele. The fact that its food and beverages are "not expensive at all" is a constant draw for locals, making it an everyday go-to rather than a place that needs temporary discounts.

However, during specific seasons, such as the durian season, the presence of a durian seller at the shopfront offering Musang King durians can be seen as a delightful seasonal "special offer" or a unique feature. This provides an additional incentive for customers to visit, combining their love for traditional coffee and noodles with the opportunity to enjoy fresh, premium local durians. Any other informal "specials" would likely be known through word-of-mouth within the local Bentong community, so asking the friendly lady boss directly during a visit is always the best way to discover any unique daily offerings or seasonal delights. The enduring appeal of Kedai Kopi Cheong Fatt lies in its authentic experience and delicious, value-for-money food, which in itself is the best promotion.
