Kem Laman Cikgu 21 Introduce
Salam sejahtera kepada semua warga Selangor! When planning a local getaway or a group event, finding the right lodging that truly meets your expectations is key. Today, we're taking a candid look at Kem Laman Cikgu 21, a lodging option situated in Tanjong Karang, Selangor. For many of us living in Selangor, the appeal of a venue for family vacations, training camps, or group gatherings is undeniable. This article aims to provide a clear, factual, and balanced overview of Kem Laman Cikgu 21, drawing from available public information and customer experiences to help you determine if it aligns with your specific needs.
Kem Laman Cikgu 21 appears to be positioned as a multi-purpose lodging facility, suitable for a range of activities from family holidays to structured training camps and team-building events. The concept of such a 'kem' (camp) or 'lodging' often implies a more rustic, communal, or activity-focused environment compared to a standard hotel or a private homestay. This type of accommodation typically offers shared facilities and an emphasis on outdoor activities or group cohesion. For locals, understanding the exact nature of the lodging – whether it's a series of chalets, dormitory-style rooms, or a dedicated campsite – is crucial for managing expectations. Its appeal often lies in its capacity to host larger groups and facilitate specific programs, which can be a significant advantage for schools, corporate teams, or extended family gatherings looking for a dedicated venue within Selangor.
However, it's important to approach Kem Laman Cikgu 21 with a comprehensive understanding of diverse guest experiences. While one review highlights it as a "Recommended place for family vacation and training camp. Good facilities. 👍," other feedback paints a challenging picture. Critiques include issues with cleanliness, specifically "bed infested with ANTS" and "ants on the bed and in the toilet." There are also serious concerns raised about emergency preparedness, with a staff member reportedly not knowing what a "first aid kit" was and a lack of "fire extinguisher." Furthermore, significant issues with billing have been reported, alleging "hidden charge/hidden cost" and unreasonable fees, such as "RM300 for ONCE usage of gas stove" and "RM500" for a murky pool "when in fact no one used the pool," along with an "RM200 for trash management." There are also complaints about communication regarding meal timings and force-paying for more people than present. This range of feedback is critical for potential visitors, as it provides a multi-faceted view of what to expect, particularly regarding transparency in pricing and the level of guest services.
---Kem Laman Cikgu 21 is located at
Lorong Ap/21, 45500 Tanjong Karang, Selangor, Malaysia
. This address places it within the Tanjong Karang district, an area known for its scenic rural landscapes, particularly paddy fields, and a quieter pace of life compared to the more urbanized parts of Selangor. For residents of Selangor seeking a retreat from city bustle, Tanjong Karang offers a refreshing change of scenery and an opportunity to experience a more traditional Malaysian kampung (village) setting. The specific address, Lorong Ap/21, indicates that it is situated off a particular lane, suggesting it might be tucked away in a more secluded part of the area, which could appeal to those looking for privacy and tranquility.Accessibility to Kem Laman Cikgu 21 largely depends on private transportation. While Tanjong Karang itself is a well-known area in Selangor, reaching specific lodgings within its rural lanes usually requires a car or a ride-sharing service. For those traveling from major towns and cities in Selangor, Tanjong Karang is accessible via state roads and highways that connect to larger expressways. The drive often offers picturesque views of the paddy fields and local villages, providing a pleasant journey into the countryside. Public transportation options like buses might serve the main areas of Tanjong Karang, but direct access to Lorong Ap/21 would likely be limited, making private vehicle arrangements highly advisable. The distance from urban centers means a deliberate journey, but for those seeking a tranquil and perhaps more nature-immersed experience, the location can be a draw. It's important for visitors to factor in travel time and ensure their mode of transport is suitable for reaching this more secluded location.
---Based on the nature of "Kem Laman Cikgu 21" as lodging for family vacations and training camps, and considering the varied guest reviews, the services offered would typically include elements catering to group stays. However, it's crucial to acknowledge the reported inconsistencies and issues. Potential services may include:
- Accommodation: Likely dormitory-style rooms, chalets, or a combination, designed to house multiple guests per unit.
- Basic facilities for group activities: Such as open spaces for games, team-building exercises, or communal gatherings.
- Dining area: A designated space for meals, possibly with catering services available (though consistency and clarity on charges are noted concerns).
- Parking: On-site parking for guests traveling in groups or by private vehicles.
- Outdoor recreational space: Given its "kem" designation, there might be areas for outdoor activities, though specific amenities like a pool have been mentioned with issues.
However, based on customer reviews, the following issues related to services have been highlighted:
- Cleanliness: Reports of ants in beds and toilets.
- Emergency Preparedness: Concerns raised regarding staff's lack of knowledge about first aid kits and absence of fire extinguishers.
- Transparency in Pricing: Allegations of significant hidden charges for gas stove usage, pool maintenance, and trash management, which were not disclosed upfront.
- Meal Service Inconsistencies: Complaints about delayed meal timings and forced adherence to the lodging's schedule for lunch.
Kem Laman Cikgu 21 presents certain features that may appeal to specific groups, but it's important to consider these alongside the critical feedback received.
- Capacity for Group Events: It is marketed as a suitable venue for "family vacation and training camp," implying it has the infrastructure to host larger groups, which can be a key feature for schools, corporate outings, or extended family gatherings.
- Rural, Tranquil Setting in Tanjong Karang: The location offers a peaceful escape from urban areas, providing a serene environment with potential views of paddy fields and local village life, which some visitors may find appealing for relaxation.
However, equally important are the highlighted drawbacks, which significantly impact the overall guest experience:
- Significant Cleanliness Issues: Repeated mentions of "ants on the bed and in the toilet" are a major concern and directly contradict basic expectations for lodging hygiene.
- Lack of Emergency Preparedness: The reported absence of a first aid kit and fire extinguishers, coupled with staff's alleged lack of knowledge, raises serious safety concerns for guests.
- Hidden Charges and Unreasonable Fees: Allegations of substantial undisclosed costs for basic amenities like gas stove usage, pool maintenance, and trash management indicate a severe lack of transparency in billing, leading to financial disputes and dissatisfaction.
- Inconsistent Service and Communication: Issues with delayed meal service and forced adherence to the lodging's schedule suggest poor operational management and a lack of flexibility.
- Negative Overall Impression: Strong negative sentiments from some customers, with phrases like "worst homestay experience I ever had" and "Please don't come here," suggest systemic problems that significantly detract from the value proposition.
For inquiries or to potentially make arrangements at Kem Laman Cikgu 21, you can reach them at the following details. However, potential guests are strongly advised to thoroughly clarify all terms, conditions, services included, and especially all potential charges and fees before making any commitments, given the substantial negative feedback regarding hidden costs and service delivery.
Address: Lorong Ap/21, 45500 Tanjong Karang, Selangor, Malaysia
Phone: 013-262 7200
Mobile Phone: +60 13-262 7200
These contact numbers are provided for direct communication. It is highly recommended to communicate all expectations and confirm all pricing details in writing if possible, to avoid any misunderstandings as reported by previous guests.
---For locals in Selangor considering Kem Laman Cikgu 21, it is essential to weigh the potential benefits against significant reported drawbacks. While it is located in a pleasant, rural area of Tanjong Karang and might offer facilities for group activities and family gatherings, the highly critical feedback from recent customers raises serious concerns that potential visitors should take into account.
If your primary goal is a very basic, no-frills location for a large group event where you are prepared to manage all aspects of your stay very closely, and if you have explicitly confirmed every single charge beforehand to avoid surprises, this lodging might be considered. However, the consistent complaints about cleanliness (ants), lack of basic safety measures (first aid, fire extinguisher), highly questionable billing practices (hidden, exorbitant charges), and poor communication suggest that the experience may be far from satisfactory for most. For those seeking a truly comfortable, transparent, and hassle-free lodging experience, especially for family vacations, it appears that other options in Selangor might offer a more reliable and pleasant stay. It is crucial for locals to conduct their own thorough due diligence, perhaps even visiting the site in person, and to explicitly clarify every detail and potential cost with the management before committing to a booking at Kem Laman Cikgu 21, to ensure their expectations are not just met, but that their safety and satisfaction are prioritized.

Kem Laman Cikgu 21 Reviews
Recommended place for family vacation and training camp. Good facilities. 👍
May 20, 2023 · Azhar AzizBear with me, the worst homestay experience I ever had better called as Kem Laman Semut. They forced us to pay fee for 30 people, when we only have 24 people. Its RM540 atas angin wow.Room was expensive, but the cleanliness is a total zero. The first thing I saw when checking in was bed infested with ANTS? Are you really expecting guests being okay with ants? Even if its not on the bed, the floor of each room will have ants on the bed and in the toiletHad an accident during our stay there, with blood and cuts. Requested for a first aid kit. The first thing that the staff asked was " Apa tu first aid kit?" What the hell. I thought its a basic that every homestay have to keep one ready to be used. Asked around some more and end up with plasters and minyak bidara, which wont help much with cuts. Zero knowledge for real. If theres fire goodluck surviving there because theres no fire extinguisher lol.Janji melayu is real here. Being a malay myself, i am also mad at how true they embrace this term. They promise to ready lunch at 12.00 p.m., when called them about lunch, the staff said 12.30pm. Okay after we reached back around 12.30pm, they said 1.00pm. The next day when we reached back at 11 am, they force us to finish our lunch by 12pm! Do you expect US to follow your schedule or what? The most hideous thing is the owner being so cheapskate about everything. Almost everything you do, there will be hidden charge/hidden cost that the owner wont said early, and will only charge you during the checkout. They never mention about there will be charge for gas stove usage. Later on when we know about it, we agree to pay for it. But guess what, its freaking RM300 for ONCE usage of gas stove. All we ever cooked was a soup which is less than 10 min of use. Are you out of your mind dear 'cikgu'? If the pool suddenly murky out of nowhere, you will be charge RM500, when in fact no one used the pool. RM200 is added for trash management. What kind of cost is this?It feels like the owner dont even want this place to flourish and become better. Bad review overall. Whatever you see in review the past year here is real and true. Please dont come here.P/s: no picture because i despise this place.

Apr 12, 2025 · IMRAN ROSLYBeautiful modern campsite full equipped with comfort big room & BBQ cooking station. Good toilet cleanliness. Unfortunately 1/10 for bad Guest Service and Event Management unattended. Lights off early at 10pm around Cafe & Rest Area, its uncosy for big crowds guests. Plus dirty swimming pool, not recommend for kids.
Dec 30, 2022 · Jalwa YusofTo be frankly honest. The worst existing homestay! I dont usually give a bad rate if it’s a small matter that i can just brush it under the carpet. But please everyone, the owner is a total jerk. Cut the light off when it’s not even 10pm, cut our deposit because we were accused of making the pool dirty when that’s the default condition in the first place. Toilet door lock fell off and we had to use it without lock. No maintenance, dirty and dusty room! “To Mr. Owner, you might as well transform your so called homestay as a cattle farm.” Jangan aniaya orang la pakcik! Orang nak ada business, you want business oso but dont know how to manage. Service pon teruk sangat. Moga anda bertemu customer yang akan susahkan pakcik nnti.
