not sure if they are the 醉猫 from peel road. but this neighborhood 大炒 is definitely cheap and taste r decent. although not everything is delicious so I'm going to break it down what I've tried1. steam fish (5/5) - the soy sauce they use is good above average2. belacan kangkung (5/5) - belacan paste is on point and they use small kangkung not those with gigantic roots3. pork mince tofu 4/5 - at first the red color pork mince doesn't look appealing but it's super delicious n flavorful4. superior soup spinach 2/5 - this was pretty bad. the soup is missing some kick altho they did include everything it's suoosoe to b like small anchovies and century egg..but still soemthing is off5. seafood Claypot 2.5/5 - not worthy to order..RM90 for that. they even put crab stick (hello that's not really seafood) gravy doesn't carry seafood taste just orginary Claypot tofu gravy when u order outsofe6. chicken 5/5 - forget what they call it. but it's 1 of their signature dish. chicken fried on point and sauce has touch of sweetness like paikwatwong very satisfying dish7. paikwatwong 3.5/5 - it's edible ntg to comment8. ginger onion venison 3/5 - meat wasnt very tender but it's edibleoverall price is cheap and portion is generous ... will definitely return to try their other dish. I rmbr during peel road days they r known for their jeong jing tilapia fish.bare in mind that this is a nerigbhorhood place, atmosphere is horrible ...patrons smokes evryr where at the premise and for 2 times visit thr are loud and drunk people around even before sky is dawn (I'm not gonna mention the race here) regardless of race it's still a nausiance hence I give onky 1 star for environment ..food I can give a solid 3 probably 4 if I discover their other calories worthy foodoverall I'd still give them a 4 star to bump up the place rating. surely a hidden gem
