Modern beautiful bridge which gives you another photos with PETRONAS towers.I would advise you to visit it twice: during TV the day and in the evening with lightings. So many people come in the evening so it’s complicated to catch a good spot for pictures. If you catch the light from “photographers” who offer you good pictures with additional light and make them bright and beautiful, you don’t need to pay and use your phone :) - Elena Titkova

Saloma Bridge (Kampung Baru Entrance) Introduce

Hello, Kuala Lumpur! Looking for a new perspective on our vibrant city, a spot where modern design meets iconic landmarks, and where you can capture truly stunning photos? The Saloma Bridge, specifically from its Kampung Baru entrance, is a landmark that has quickly become a beloved fixture in our urban landscape. This beautifully designed pedestrian bridge offers more than just a convenient link; it's an experience, especially when bathed in its enchanting evening lights.

The Saloma Bridge, officially known as Pintasan Saloma, is a relatively new addition to Kuala Lumpur's array of attractions, having opened its doors in early 2020. Named after the legendary Malaysian-Singaporean singer Saloma, whose final resting place is nearby, the bridge embodies a blend of cultural heritage and contemporary vision. Its unique architectural design, inspired by the traditional sirih junjung (betel nut leaf arrangement), symbolizes unity and connection, perfectly bridging the historical charm of Kampung Baru with the futuristic allure of KLCC. It's an ideal spot for locals and visitors alike to enjoy a leisurely stroll, soak in the city's ambiance, and, of course, capture those Instagram-worthy shots with the magnificent Petronas Twin Towers as a backdrop.

Location and Accessibility

The Saloma Bridge's Kampung Baru Entrance is strategically located in Kampung Baru, 50300 Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This prime location makes it incredibly accessible for anyone residing in or visiting the heart of Kuala Lumpur. The bridge serves as a vital pedestrian link, connecting the traditional Malay enclave of Kampung Baru directly to the bustling Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) area, specifically near Jalan Ampang.

One of the major advantages of the Saloma Bridge's location is its excellent connectivity via public transport. For those relying on the LRT, the Kampung Baru LRT station is just a short walk from the Kampung Baru entrance of the bridge. This makes it incredibly convenient to reach without the hassle of driving and finding parking in the city centre. If you're coming from the KLCC side, the bridge is within easy walking distance from the Petronas Twin Towers and KLCC Park, allowing for a seamless transition between these iconic landmarks.

While accessibility by foot and public transport is a major plus, it's worth noting for those driving that parking for cars near the Kampung Baru entrance can be limited. It's often advisable to use public transportation or ride-sharing services to avoid parking difficulties, especially during peak hours or in the evenings when the bridge is most popular. For individuals with mobility issues, the bridge is designed with accessibility in mind, featuring a lift provided at the Kampung Baru side to assist with ascent and descent, ensuring that everyone can experience this modern marvel. However, some reviews mention that the ramp for wheelchairs, while present, can be quite steep, so caution is advised. Overall, its central location and connectivity make the Saloma Bridge an easily reachable and highly recommended destination for all Kuala Lumpur residents.

Promotions or Special Offers

As a public infrastructure project, the Saloma Bridge (Kampung Baru Entrance) does not typically offer commercial promotions or special offers in the traditional sense, as there is no admission fee to cross the bridge. However, the "special offers" here are in the experiences themselves, which are priceless. The ever-changing LED light show provides a unique visual treat each evening, effectively offering a "free show" that continuously captivates. For photography enthusiasts, the bridge serves as a constant "promotional backdrop" for some of the best shots of the Petronas Twin Towers, especially during the blue hour or at night. Some local "photographers" are known to offer impromptu photography services on-site, using their professional lighting equipment to help visitors capture brighter and more beautiful pictures with the illuminated bridge and towers. While these are paid services, the ability to get high-quality photos on the spot can be considered a convenient "offer" for those looking for professional-grade memories without prior booking. Keep an eye on local social media groups or community pages, as occasionally there might be photography meet-ups or cultural events organized around the bridge, which would be excellent "special offers" for community engagement and unique photo opportunities.
