Sea of Clouds Hulu Langat.云海营 Reviews
camped here last week with a small group of bike campers, and it’s a great spot. The entrance can be quite challenging for cars, but 4x4 vehicles and even 125cc bikes can handle it with ease. There are no designated spots for tents; you can set up anywhere reasonable on a first-come, first-served basis. The campsite offers proper toilet facilities, a sink, and a clean water supply.I’m not sure if there’s electricity here, as we’re not the type of campers who rely on power outlets. However, there is no generator, which means it's peaceful at night—definitely a plus.During our stay, we experienced a constant, heavy breeze, so setting up guy lines in addition to the pegs is essential when it’s windy. A windshield for cooking is also a must. This campsite is known for its stunning cloud views, but due to the weather during our visit, the clouds were nowhere to be seen. The temperature is quite comfortable for the Malaysian climate—it’s a bit cooler than usual, but don’t expect the chill of places like Cameron or Genting.
Feb 10, 2025 · Razi ZulkepliThis campground is a fantastic retreat just behind KL, offering stunning views and a peaceful escape into nature. The absolute highlight is the magical sea of clouds visible from 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM – a sight that makes the early wake-up call totally worth it!Facilities are thoughtfully maintained, with clean squat-style toilets and cool showers that are perfect for a refreshing start or end to your day. The steep roads within the campground add a bit of adventure and serve as great leg training.Nature lovers will enjoy the hidden gem of a waterfall fed shallow pond, just a short 5-minute walk from the common area. However, plan ahead as there are no plug points on-site; make sure your camping gear and power bank are fully charged. After dark, the campsite is beautifully lit by solar lights, adding to its charm. The roads from the main road to the campground are sedan-friendly, but drivers with low-clearance cars (e.g., Civics) should drive carefully to avoid scraping the bottom.Overall, this campground is a must-visit for its natural beauty, simplicity, and unique experiences – highly recommended for nature enthusiasts looking for a quick and memorable getaway near KL!
Jan 01, 2025 · Steven LeeMy husband & I had our 1st camping experience here and we enjoyed our time spent at this clean & serene campsite surrounded by durian trees within Selangor. We were mesmerized by the beautiful & spectacular sea of clouds in the morning. And, you can also enjoy the sunset view at this campsite. So glad we brought jacket and long pants as the night was cold. The steep walkway up to campsites may be a challenge to those with weak knees. We bought 2 MSK Grade A here before heading home.
Jan 01, 2025 · Wendy ChanThe campsite isn’t very big, but the toilet are clean and well-maintained. Each camping spot has its own space, so you don’t have to share the zone with others. Although our spot didn’t have much of a view because the tall trees blocked it, you can still catch a glimpse of the sea of clouds from other parts of the campsite. The road are pretty steep, but they’re still accessible for sedan. Overall, I’d give the experience a 7/10!
Sep 19, 2024 · Brenda LiewNice cozy place especially in the evening & morning. The PIC is friendly & so does other campers there. It’s really a wonderful experience especially for newbie.Utilities quite well taken care but only available toilet is not the sitting type🤭There a huge sheltered area for campers to held event too. Will consider to visit again next time because I’d say such campsite is more to natural feel.P/S: I’m a car camper🤭
