Taman Eko Rimba Kanching by Tourism Selangor Introduce
For residents of Selangor, seeking a refreshing escape into nature that promises both adventure and tranquility, Taman Eko Rimba Kanching, proudly presented by Tourism Selangor, is an absolute must-visit. This isn't just any park; it's a magnificent rainforest haven, celebrated for its stunning multi-tiered waterfalls and lush, biodiverse environment. Imagine stepping away from the urban hum and immersing yourself in the cool embrace of ancient trees, the soothing sound of cascading water, and the vibrant tapestry of tropical flora and fauna. Taman Eko Rimba Kanching offers a perfect blend of accessible trails and wild beauty, making it an ideal destination for families, nature enthusiasts, and anyone looking to reconnect with the natural world right here in Selangor.
Taman Eko Rimba Kanching stands as a testament to Selangor's rich natural heritage. Unlike typical summit hikes that focus on a single viewpoint, the trails here are a "journey over destination." They wind through multiple enchanting waterfalls, transforming the entire trek into a refreshing and scenic experience. The dense forest canopy keeps the air cool and invigorating, even as you explore. Keep your eyes peeled, as lucky visitors might even spot some unique critters along the way, adding an extra layer of excitement to your adventure. This lush ecosystem is also home to unique flora, including the critically rare Giam Kanching (Hopea subalata), affectionately known as the 'broccoli tree.' With only around 400 of these species remaining globally, most are found right here within the Kanching Forest Reserve, making your visit not just recreational but also an opportunity to witness truly unique natural wonders.
Whether you're planning a full day of waterfall hopping, a leisurely walk to enjoy the greenery, or a family picnic by the natural pools, Taman Eko Rimba Kanching caters to diverse preferences. The waterfalls themselves are open for swimming, providing perfect spots to cool off and relax, especially after a invigorating walk. This natural haven truly offers a distinct experience, focusing on the immersive journey through its beautiful waterfalls rather than a singular viewpoint. It’s a fantastic spot to spend quality time in nature, create lasting memories with loved ones, and experience the unparalleled beauty of Selangor's rainforests.
The park's appeal is evident in the enthusiastic reviews from visitors who highlight the "lush, cool" nature and the enjoyable experience of "waterfall hopping." Many appreciate that the trails, at least up to the middle waterfalls, are well-maintained, making them accessible for most visitors. The opportunity to take a refreshing foot dip or even a full bath in the natural pools, complete with a natural massage from the water pressure, is a highlight for many. This combination of natural beauty, active exploration, and opportunities for relaxation solidifies Taman Eko Rimba Kanching as a cherished outdoor destination for locals and visitors alike.

Taman Eko Rimba Kanching by Tourism Selangor Reviews
Took the waterfall route hike following AllTrails with the intention of catching the view - but quickly realized this was more of a journey over destination kind of trail. The path winds through multiple waterfalls, making the hike up and down refreshing and scenic. Nature was lush, cool, and we even spotted a few critters along the way.The trail is well-maintained up to the middle waterfall. Beyond that, it becomes more rugged and almost disappears - especially challenging in the rain when it gets muddy and slippery. The waterfalls themselves are open for swimming and make for a great place to relax. While I wouldn't recommend this as a classic hike for the summit or views, it's a fantastic spot for waterfall hopping and spending time in nature.

On my visit, I enjoyed the scenic walk to the third waterfall, which took about 10 minutes. It's a great resting spot if you're not up for the climb. For those with more energy, continuing up for another 20–30 minutes to the sixth or seventh waterfall is well worth it. Once you cross the bridge, you’ll reach the sixth waterfall. Here, you can take a refreshing foot dip or even a bath. The water pressure makes for a delightful natural massage, and spending an hour relaxing and snacking on fruits was truly enjoyable. Just be cautious of the monkeys when eating!I highly recommend bringing a small towel to wipe your feet before putting your shoes back on, as well as a rubbish bag to carry all your trash. For those looking for a quieter experience, visiting during the fasting month is a great option to avoid crowds. Additionally, revisiting the first waterfall when hike down is highly recommended, as the morning light makes for stunning photographs. After hike down, you can take advantage of the facilities to bathe and change with a small fee. Taman Eco Rimba Kanching is a wonderful escape into nature, and small preparations like these can make the experience even more enjoyable!
Apr 17, 2025 · ST YongNeeds more to say?Best waterfall spot for light moderate hikers, I live nearby and the steep stairs works out are good, reaching the top waterfall is so calming and chilling, it chase away the sore with its cold pouring, extra pros: almost no leeches compared to templar park and other places!!!Many picnics crowd recently, so you might be courteously asked to move first to avoid slowing down. maybe it's getting more exposed, seen foreigners too, wild, we have westerners visiting and met a team of India flyers enjoying the scenes.Without driving out the town, I get this, love it.
May 02, 2025 · Lan Fui ArcyUsed to go here regularly when I was little. The scenery here always mesmerised me, especially the waterfalls. You need to hike to see all of the waterfalls. Quite challenging to go up as it is steep and walking path is quite difficult on some levels. There are a lot of toilets available. Do aware the monkeys there will steal your food, especially if you're carrying it in a plastic bag. So make sure to use a bag or something that can cover it.
May 20, 2025 · Yori DesuThe lower sections are very crowded and filled with trash and people. The higher you go, the better the view and less trash and people. Total of 7 levels of the waterfall. Do be warned it is quite challenging to reaching the higher levels 5-7. But its definitely worth it.
