Tanah Aina Farrah Soraya

8 Jalan Tras, 27600 Raub, Pahang, Malaysia

4.0
We were looking forward to a peaceful getaway, but unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations, especially considering the premium price of RM1,400 per night. The quality of the accommodation did not match the price. The road leading to the location is unpaved and not suitable for low-clearance vehicles. It’s also not kids-friendly. The food was limited and lacked flavor, and there was no room service available. The location is deep in the forest, with no phone signal at all. The room itself was very basic — no toilet inside, no air-conditioning, no television, and no minibar. Honestly, it felt more like a RM200 room, not one worth over RM1,000. The toilet is located outside the room and requires going up a flight of stairs, which is not safe for children, especially at night. The toilet had no water heater, the water was freezing cold, and no toiletries were provided. Even the towels felt cheap and low quality — everything provided was far below the expected standard for the price paid. The river nearby was too deep and the current too strong to enjoy safely. If the management is aware that the water is unsafe during this season, a discount or at least a warning would have been appreciated.I rarely leave negative reviews, but spending over RM1,000 for such a disappointing experience was frustrating. At this level of quality, the room should not cost four figures. This felt more like a team-building camp than the premium, relaxing retreat it was advertised to be. If the high price is meant to include the activities, it should be optional — only those who participate should pay for them. - Nabilah Hassan
