The Scott Garden Introduce
The Scott Garden is a prominent mixed development situated along Old Klang Road in Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur. More than just a shopping complex, it functions as a comprehensive community hub, integrating residential (SOHO) units with a vibrant commercial space. This unique setup aims to create a self-sufficient ecosystem, providing residents and local users with convenient access to a wide array of necessities, dining options, and lifestyle experiences right at their doorstep.
While it offers the convenience of a community mall, it's important for potential visitors to note that some public reviews indicate the overall condition of certain areas might be "run down," with specific mentions of disused travelators and water features needing cleaning. The occupancy rate for commercial lots has also been cited as low. This suggests that while the concept is to provide a complete ecosystem, the actual state of maintenance and vibrancy in all areas may vary.
The Scott Garden boasts a strategic location at 289, Jln Klang Lama, 58200 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This prime spot along Old Klang Road places it at the heart of Kuala Lumpur, making it easily accessible for residents within the Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur region and beyond.
Its proximity to major areas like Mid Valley Megamall (just a 5-minute drive or short taxi ride) further enhances its accessibility. Public transportation options are also convenient, with a bus station and taxi stand located directly in front of the building. For those relying on trains, KTM Train Stations such as Pantai Dalam (520m) and Petaling (1.52km) are relatively close, offering connectivity to broader parts of the city. For those driving, The Scott Garden provides covered parking, though it's important to be aware that the parking system is ticket-based and accepts cash only (RM1 and RM5 notes).
The Scott Garden is designed to cater to a diverse range of needs, offering various services to its residents and visitors.
- Retail Outlets: While some commercial lots might have low occupancy, there are a variety of retail outlets within the mall, including a Family Mart and 7-Eleven on the 1st Floor for everyday convenience. Other retailers like Mr. DIY and Econsave are also present on the 1st floor, providing essential goods and home improvement items.
- Dining and Beverages: The Scott Garden is particularly known for its diverse food and beverage offerings. You can find a wide range of cuisines, from Western and Thai to Chinese, including steamboat options. Local Malaysian food, including Mamak stalls, are also available. Numerous cafes and pubs serve delicacies like pies, fish and chips, sandwiches, coffees, and alcoholic beverages. Some establishments are Halal-certified and pork-free.
- Financial Services: A CIMB Bank branch is conveniently located on the 1st Floor, providing banking services for users.
- Residential Amenities (for SOHO residents): Beyond the commercial spaces, The Scott Garden offers a range of facilities for its SOHO residents, contributing to the "complete ecosystem" concept. These include an infinity pool, gymnasium, and 24-hour security with extensive CCTV surveillance, aiming to provide a safe and secure living environment.
- Property Management Services: For the SOHO units, property management services are available, addressing various resident needs. However, it's worth noting that some resident reviews have expressed concerns about the efficiency and transparency of the management, particularly regarding deposit refunds.
Despite some reported maintenance issues, The Scott Garden offers several features and highlights that aim to attract visitors and provide a comprehensive experience.
- Integrated SOHO Concept: Its unique design integrates residential Small Office Home Office (SOHO) units directly above the commercial area, offering unparalleled convenience for residents who can access necessities without extensive travel.
- Food Heaven: The mall is often highlighted for its extensive selection of food and beverage outlets. This makes it a popular spot for locals looking for diverse dining experiences, whether it's a casual meal, a quick coffee, or a place to unwind with friends.
- Relaxing Ambiance: Many dining and entertainment establishments within The Scott Garden aim to provide a relaxing ambiance, making it a suitable place to de-stress and socialize after a long day.
- Convenience Stores: The presence of well-known convenience stores like Family Mart and 7-Eleven, along with a larger Econsave, ensures that daily essentials are readily available.
- Community Facilities: For SOHO residents, access to facilities like an infinity pool and gymnasium contributes to a modern and convenient urban lifestyle.
- Security: The emphasis on 24-hour security with more than 500 CCTV cameras is a significant feature, aiming to provide a safer environment for both shoppers and residents.

The Scott Garden Reviews
Overall the place is pretty run down. The travelators to the basement seem to be in disuse. The water features definitely need a good cleaning. Occupancy rate for the commercial lots is low. The parking is ticket-based, cash only (RM1 and RM5 notes).
Sep 24, 2024 · William NgREFUND MY MOVE IN DEPOSIT, PLEASE!!I paid a RM500 move-in deposit, which I fully understand is standard. However, I was told it would only be refunded after a month – unlike most other condos that process it within a week. Now it’s been over a month, and I still haven’t received it.Despite repeated follow-ups with the management office, all I get is the same vague response: “It’s in process.” No exact date, no accountability. This level of inefficiency and lack of transparency is unacceptable. Very disappointed with how poorly the management handles something as basic as a deposit refund.
May 23, 2025 · Tracy LuongI like living here. Even thou this place doesnt run lively like it used to. But i have problems with the security residents here. I realize there this ex 5 like bangla or whatever. Go round and round at residents parking. Even my wife said the same thing. Like its aiming something to steal or whatever. Very unusual person. Kinda feel not safe anymore. After a few days my helmet was stolen. Gone. In a resident parking. Hopefully the security take more serious on patrol the resident parking. Also when visitor gate they should atleast ask question before letting them in.
May 22, 2025 · Marco MichaelThe street where this apartment complex located is always busy, making commuting so painful. The only public transportation is bus. But it’s only working as expected when the traffic is good. There are a few shops, restaurants and 1 big supermarket downstairs but also a lot of empty shop lots.
Mar 02, 2025 · Minh Thu NguyễnDodgy! But you might want to know where’s the parking at. For parking, before Scott Garden, there is a turning you can make to your left as you can see from the photo attached. When you turn left, go straight and on the right you will see the parking entrance as shown below. With a signboard of mr.diy
