It’s a place where children can freely explore imaginative play structures, splash in interactive water features, and simply enjoy the outdoors, all while parents can relax and take in the stunning city views. The initial impressions from our fellow Malaysians have been overwhelmingly positive, with many wishing they had discovered it sooner! It truly redefines what a city park can be, offering a unique blend of active play and serene natural beauty.
Whether you're looking for a free and exciting day out with your young ones, a tranquil spot to unwind amidst lush greenery, or a convenient location that combines leisure with shopping and dining, TRX City Park delivers. Its thoughtful design and diverse offerings make it an indispensable new addition to Kuala Lumpur's urban landscape, perfectly suited for our dynamic local community.
TRX City Park boasts an incredibly central and accessible location, situated right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur's new financial district. You'll find it on Level 3 Park Level, Plaza The Exchange TRX, Persiaran TRX, Tun Razak Exchange, 55188 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This prime positioning makes it a highly convenient destination for residents across Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur.
One of the park’s greatest strengths is its direct integration with the Tun Razak Exchange (TRX) development, which means excellent public transport connectivity. The TRX MRT Station, serving both the Kajang and Putrajaya Lines, is directly accessible from The Exchange TRX Mall, making it incredibly easy to reach from various parts of the city. This provides a seamless and stress-free journey, allowing families to avoid traffic and parking hassles.
For those who drive, parking is available within The Exchange TRX Mall. While it is a paid service, the convenience of having direct access to the park from the mall's parking facilities is a significant advantage, especially for families with young children or those carrying bags. Furthermore, ride-sharing services like Grab can easily drop you off at the mall entrance, from where you can take the escalators or lifts directly to the park level. The park's rooftop location, connected to the mall, means you can easily combine your park visit with shopping, dining, or other activities within The Exchange TRX, making it a truly integrated urban experience.

TRX City Park is quickly establishing itself as a landmark destination in Kuala Lumpur, thanks to its array of unique and engaging features:

- Innovative Water Play Spaces: A major highlight for families is the interactive water play area, featuring wheels and spinners suitable for all ages, including toddlers. The presence of a "waterfall / water steps area" that kids can play in encourages bringing swimmers or a change of clothes for guaranteed fun.
- Dual Outdoor Play Gyms: The park intelligently provides two distinct outdoor play areas: one shaded and designed for younger children, and another for older kids featuring more challenging elements like climbing walls, mesh climbers, and larger slides, resembling a "small cave and rock climbing features."

The landscape design celebrates Malaysia's diverse ecosystems, featuring themed zones like Serene Garden, Inspiration Garden, and Forest Walk, creating a lush tapestry of greenery.

- Sustainability Features: Designed with eco-conscious principles, the park incorporates rainwater harvesting systems and native flora that support biodiversity, reflecting a commitment to environmental sustainability.
- Event Hosting Capabilities: Its expansive open lawn areas and thoughtfully designed spaces make it an ideal venue for community events, including vibrant pop-up festivals, transforming it into a lively hub for music, local artisans, and cultural performances.
As a public park, TRX City Park primarily offers free access to its extensive outdoor play areas and green spaces, which is a significant "promotion" in itself, making it a highly accessible and affordable option for families in Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur. The joy and relaxation it provides come without an entry fee for the main park facilities.
However, within The Exchange TRX precinct where the park is located, there are indeed commercial offerings that might have their own promotions or special deals:
- Paid Indoor Play Area Offers: The separate, paid indoor play entry within TRX City Park may occasionally run its own promotions, such as discounts on entry fees for specific days or times, or packages that combine play with activities like bead bracelet making or figurine painting. It's advisable to check directly with the staff at this specific paid play zone for any ongoing offers.
- Mall-Wide Promotions: Being part of The Exchange TRX Mall, visitors to the park can often benefit from broader mall promotions. These could include dining discounts at various restaurants and cafes within the mall, retail sales, or special events that might enhance your overall visit. Locals are encouraged to check The Exchange TRX's official website or their social media channels for current mall-wide promotions.
- Loyalty Programs: If The Exchange TRX has a loyalty program, being a member might unlock benefits or discounts at various tenants, including perhaps special rates for amenities related to the park if they are part of the mall's services (e.g., stroller rental, car hire).
Since specific promotions can change frequently, the best way for locals to stay informed about any current offers or special events at TRX City Park or within The Exchange TRX is to visit their official website or inquire at the mall's concierge desk. This ensures you can maximize the value of your visit to this fantastic urban oasis.

Its design and offerings resonate deeply with what local families and individuals seek in a modern city park, providing a perfect blend of recreation, relaxation, and convenience.
The park’s defining characteristic, being a "beautifully designed space" with "fabulous outdoor play space for kids," makes it an instant hit for parents. The variety of play areas, from the "awesome water play space with interactive wheels and spinners" to the "2 outdoor play gyms – one for younger kids... and one that’s more for older kids," ensures that children of all ages are entertained for hours. This convenience is unparalleled, allowing parents to effortlessly manage a day out with their children. The presence of a paid indoor play area as an option also provides a sheltered alternative, especially during Kuala Lumpur’s unpredictable rainy spells, although it's worth noting the outdoor areas might temporarily close in light drizzle.
Furthermore, the fact that the main outdoor park areas are entirely "free" is a huge advantage for our community, offering high-quality recreation without financial burden. It fosters a sense of inclusivity, allowing all families to enjoy this stunning urban oasis. The thoughtful landscaping with native Malaysian flora also creates a serene and educational environment, promoting appreciation for local biodiversity.

TRX City Park Reviews
Beautifully designed space and fabulous outdoor play space for kids! Wish we had found this sooner on our trip, would definitely recommend to anyone visiting!Pros:✅ it’s free and has an awesome water play space with interactive wheels and spinners for kids - even the young toddlers. It is not under cover so bring a hat!✅ also has a waterfall / water steps area that looks like the kids can play in - so bring swimmers or a change of clothes.✅ has 2 outdoor play gyms - one for younger kids that has a roof over it and one that’s more for older kids - a climbing wall, mesh climber, bigger slide etc.✅ right next to the playground under shade they also had a separate a paid entry play entry that had dress ups, fake play food/kitchen area, more water play and additional optional activities like bead bracelet making or figurine painting (base fee was RM28 per kid, no time limit and you could re-enter during the day). Plus you can hire these cute cars (additional fee) for 30 mins to ride around for older kids.✅ has nice bathroom facilities next to the play ground and TRX mall and food options right there as well. Great to drop kids off at with a parent and do a bit of shopping :)Cons:❌ like most of KLs outdoor spaces we found there’s no real shade! So bring a hat and sunscreen.❌ Don’t come here when it’s raining - they close off the outdoor play gyms even in super light drizzle. They do reopen when the rain stops but obviously is weather dependent! It was initially closed when we went and the rain was barely spitting, but they did open it up after 20 mins.

May 12, 2025 · KeeTat LeeVery nice and spacious roof top park that is located at the top floor of The Exchange mall. Probably one of the better rooftop gardens that I’ve been too. It’s a great place to chill and hangout with your friends and there are many nice photo spots for photo taking. It’s even nicer when you come during the evening as you can see the city skyline being lighted up and the amazing views. You might be able to catch the sunset as well! 🤩 There is also a play area for kids, small waterfall at the park and benches for you to sit. Really like the atmosphere here though it can get crowded, but it’s worth exploring 😊
Dec 19, 2024 · Anna EllieA really nice rooftop garden with palm and banana trees and lots of plantation. Cozy and nice seating areas and walkways gave me a feeling of peace and joy. The playground, an artificial waterfall, a water playground for children and much more that can entertain children of young ages, and more, create a pleasant environment.
Feb 10, 2025 · I am QThe park is situated at the rooftop of the mall. No entrance fee required and is open to the public. Was here in the afternoon and at night and there isn’t a big crowd here both times. The area itself is quite small if compared with KLCC park. But I would say it’s sufficient for a short walk. Lots of flowering plants and variety. Would definitely recommend if you’re visiting the mall.
