This article aims to provide a comprehensive overview of Al-Mujahideen Masjid, designed specifically for the local community in Selangor. We'll explore its accessibility, the range of services it provides, its unique features, and how it serves as a vital hub for spiritual and social activities. We understand the importance of finding a comfortable and convenient place for prayer and community engagement, and Al-Mujahideen Masjid consistently delivers on these fronts, making it a truly invaluable asset to our neighbourhood. From daily prayers to special occasions like Ramadan, the masjid plays a pivotal role in our lives, offering a serene and well-equipped environment for all who seek it.
---Al-Mujahideen Masjid is conveniently located at **Jalan 21/23, Damansara Utama, 47400 Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia**. Its central position in Damansara Utama makes it easily accessible for residents across Petaling Jaya and surrounding areas within Selangor. This strategic location means that for many within the immediate vicinity, reaching the masjid is often a quick drive or even a pleasant walk. The surrounding infrastructure of Damansara Utama, with its well-maintained roads, helps ensure a smooth journey to and from the masjid, even during peak hours.
While the masjid itself is an established and beloved institution, it’s worth noting that like many popular places in a bustling urban environment, parking can sometimes be a consideration. The masjid compound does offer limited parking lots. However, for those visiting, especially during busy times such as Friday prayers or during Ramadan for Tarawih, there's often ample space to park along the side of the road in the immediate vicinity. This common practice in many developed areas ensures that accessibility isn’t a significant hurdle for worshippers. The fact that many find it a "calm and non-fussy place to do your solat" despite potential parking considerations speaks volumes about the overall experience and peaceful atmosphere the masjid provides.
The ease of access, combined with the generally serene environment, makes Al-Mujahideen Masjid a favored spot for many locals. Its integration into the Damansara Utama landscape means it’s not just a place of worship but a visible and welcoming part of our community fabric, easily reachable for daily prayers and special events alike.

- **Tarawih Prayers:** Special night prayers performed during Ramadan. Al-Mujahideen Masjid is known for performing 8 rakaat of Tarawih prayers, followed by 3 rakaat of Witr, making it a suitable option for those who prefer this format.

- **Established and Respected Institution:** As an "old mosque," Al-Mujahideen Masjid carries a sense of history and establishment within the Damansara Utama community, signifying its long-standing presence and importance as a spiritual anchor.
As a religious institution, Al-Mujahideen Masjid primarily focuses on providing spiritual services and fostering community welfare rather than offering commercial "promotions" in the traditional sense. However, the masjid consistently provides invaluable "offers" that benefit its congregation and the wider community:
One of the most significant and well-loved "special offers" is the provision of **free Iftar meals during Ramadan**. This generous initiative allows all worshippers to break their fast together, often with a variety of traditional dishes and dates, entirely free of charge. This act of hospitality not only nourishes the body but also strengthens communal bonds and provides a welcoming environment for everyone, regardless of their financial situation. The community's ability to enjoy a full meal after Maghrib prayers, at no cost, is a testament to the masjid's dedication to its congregants during this blessed month.
While not a "promotion," the masjid’s commitment to providing a **fully air-conditioned praying area** can be considered a consistent benefit that enhances the comfort of worshippers. Similarly, the dedication to maintaining **clean and complete facilities**, including ablution areas and toilets, consistently offers a high standard of convenience and hygiene for all visitors. These are ongoing "offers" of comfort and care that contribute significantly to the positive experience of those who frequent the masjid.
Furthermore, the convenience of the **Touch & Go e-wallet for donations** can be seen as a modern "special offer" of ease and accessibility for those wishing to contribute to the masjid's upkeep and charitable activities. It simplifies the act of giving, making it more convenient for the modern worshipper in Selangor.

Its numerous attributes align perfectly with the needs and preferences of local users, making it a cherished spiritual home for many.

This accessibility is paramount for integrating spiritual practice into the busy lives of urban residents.
Secondly, the masjid consistently provides a **serene and comfortable environment**. The fully air-conditioned praying area is a significant advantage, especially given Malaysia’s warm climate, ensuring that worshippers can focus on their prayers without discomfort. The opportunity to break fast together and share meals after Maghrib prayers strengthens bonds and creates lasting memories for families and individuals alike.

Al-Mujahideen Masjid Reviews
A worthy repeat when parking permits since it is the most calm and non-fussy place to do your solat
Apr 06, 2025 · Wan SurayaWent for iftar & terawih prayer on 06/04/2023. This mosque was an old mosque and the compound was limited with parking lots. so you have to park your car along the side of the road. It didn't have water filter like Coway/Cuckoo otherwise other facilities were complete with fully air-conditioning praying area, clean toilets/ablution area which were near to the praying area. Upon Maghrib calling, we broke our fast with kuih (traditional dish/dessert), dates. We proceeded with Maghrib prayer before we had full meal. The food for iftar were free. The good thing eating full meal after Maghrib prayer is that you can take your own time. Later we proceeded with Isya' prayer & 8 rakaat of terawih plus 3 rakaat of witir. My mom told me this mosque only perform 8 rakaat of terawih so if u are in hurry and wanted to perform 8 rakaat of terawih with 3 rakaat of witir following the imam then this is the place. There was also QR code for Touch & Go e-wallet for easy donation if you forgot to bring your money.
