Elmina East Beach Volleyball Court Introduce
For active residents across Selangor, particularly those in the vibrant Elmina development, finding dedicated spaces for recreational sports is a key part of maintaining a healthy and engaging lifestyle. The Elmina East Beach Volleyball Court emerges as a notable facility, offering a unique opportunity to enjoy sand sports right within their community. While not a conventional 'park' with sprawling gardens, this specialized court serves as a focal point for beach volleyball enthusiasts, bringing a slice of sandy shores to the heart of Elmina.
In a region where outdoor activities are highly valued, the presence of such a specific sports facility is a significant asset. It caters to a niche interest, allowing individuals and groups to practice, play, and enjoy the dynamic sport of beach volleyball without needing to travel far. This court signifies Elmina's commitment to providing diverse recreational options for its residents, promoting an active and community-driven lifestyle.
The Elmina East Beach Volleyball Court is more than just a patch of sand; it's a designated space for invigorating workouts, friendly matches, and community engagement. It’s where locals can hone their skills, meet fellow sports enthusiasts, and experience the joy of playing on sand. This article aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the Elmina East Beach Volleyball Court, detailing its location, what it offers, and why it’s a valuable addition to the recreational landscape for locals in Selangor.
The Elmina East Beach Volleyball Court is located within the expansive Elmina development, specifically at 40160 Elmina, Selangor, Malaysia. Elmina is a major township in Selangor, known for its focus on green spaces, parks, and recreational facilities, making the presence of a dedicated beach volleyball court a fitting addition to its amenities.
Accessing the court, as noted by local users, requires some specific navigation. It is described as an "in-between compound," similar to a futsal court, meaning it's not directly inside housing areas nor entirely exposed in the main park areas. For locals, the most common ways to reach it are:
- Through Housing Areas: Some access points might involve driving or walking through the residential sections of Elmina.
- Via Shoplot Areas: Parking at nearby shoplot areas and then walking to the court using the dedicated jogging and cycling tracks is another common method. This suggests that the court is well-integrated into Elmina's broader network of recreational paths.
- GPS Navigation: The pinned location on mapping services is generally accurate for proximity. It's recommended to use a GPS to find the exact spot, as it's not immediately visible from main roads.
While direct public transport like buses might serve the broader Elmina township, specific routes to the court itself are unlikely, given its nature. Most locals would rely on private vehicles or ride-hailing services for convenience. Ample parking in the nearby shoplot areas, combined with pedestrian and cycling paths, ensures that the court is reasonably accessible for residents of Elmina and surrounding areas in Selangor who are keen on beach volleyball.
The Elmina East Beach Volleyball Court is a specialized recreational facility, and as such, its "services" are inherent to its purpose as a dedicated sports venue. These typically include:
- Dedicated Beach Volleyball Courts: Provides at least two courts specifically designed for beach volleyball, complete with sand.
- Nets for Play: One court is confirmed to have a net in usable condition, allowing for immediate play.
- Space for Recreational Sports: Offers an open, sandy area suitable for various sand-based games, fitness activities, or casual play beyond just organized volleyball.
- Outdoor Exercise Environment: Provides a natural, open-air setting for physical activity and sports, contributing to an active lifestyle.
- Community Sports Hub: Serves as a potential gathering point for local beach volleyball enthusiasts to organize games, practice, and socialize.
It is important to note the current conditions based on customer feedback:
- Limited Usable Courts: Currently, only one of the two courts is in usable condition with a net. The other court lacks a net and has "considerably more vegetation covering the sand," making it less suitable for play without maintenance.
- Self-Organized Play: There are no explicit mentions of booking systems, equipment rental, or official coaching services. Users are expected to bring their own equipment (balls) and organize their own games.
- No Additional Facilities: As a dedicated court, it's unlikely to have facilities like restrooms, changing rooms, or refreshment stalls directly at the court. Users should come prepared.
For serious players or groups, it would be advisable to ensure the court is ready for use, perhaps by checking with local community groups or coordinating with other players.
The Elmina East Beach Volleyball Court offers several distinct features and highlights that make it a valuable recreational asset for locals in Selangor:
- Dedicated Sand Courts: This is a significant highlight, as dedicated beach volleyball courts are relatively rare in urban park settings. The presence of actual sand provides an authentic beach volleyball experience, which is crucial for the sport.
- Opportunity for Specific Sport: It caters directly to beach volleyball enthusiasts, providing a convenient and accessible venue for them to practice and play their preferred sport, without needing to travel to coastal areas.
- Local Community Asset: The court serves as a hub for the local Elmina community and surrounding areas, fostering an active lifestyle and providing a space for residents to connect over shared sporting interests.
- Integration with Green Spaces: Although the access can be tricky, its integration with Elmina's jogging and cycling tracks suggests it's part of the township's broader commitment to green, recreational areas, offering a pleasant environment for approach and warm-ups.
- Unique Recreational Offering: In a landscape dominated by conventional parks and indoor sports facilities, a beach volleyball court offers a unique and engaging alternative for outdoor recreation and fitness.
However, it's also important to acknowledge areas for improvement based on customer feedback:
- Court Condition: One of the two courts is noted to be in unusable condition due to lack of a net and overgrown vegetation. This highlights a need for maintenance to fully utilize the facility.
- Navigation Challenges: While part of the Elmina development, its "in-between compound" location and tricky access mean first-time visitors might find it challenging to locate without precise instructions or GPS.
Despite these points, the existence of a dedicated sand court for beach volleyball remains a key feature, fulfilling a specific recreational need within the Elmina community.
As the Elmina East Beach Volleyball Court is a public recreational facility rather than a commercial business, it typically does not offer "Promotions or Special Offers" in the traditional sense. Access to the courts for public use is generally free of charge.
However, the "offers" that are inherent to such a facility for locals include:
- Free Access to Recreational Facilities: The most significant "offer" is the provision of a dedicated space for beach volleyball at no cost, allowing residents to enjoy the sport without paying court rental fees.
- Community-Organized Play: Locals can often organize their own games and tournaments among friends, family, or local sports groups. While not a direct promotion from the "park," it fosters self-organized recreational opportunities.
- Health and Wellness Benefits: The court provides a free outdoor venue for physical exercise, contributing to the health and well-being of the community, which is an invaluable "offer" in itself.
Occasionally, local community associations, sports clubs, or the township developer (Sime Darby Property, for Elmina) might organize sports events, leagues, or clinics at such facilities. These events might have registration fees but would offer structured play or learning opportunities. Locals interested in such organized activities are advised to:
- Check with the Elmina township management (Sime Darby Property).
- Follow local community groups or sports clubs on social media.
- Look for announcements on community boards within the Elmina development.
For the most part, the value of the Elmina East Beach Volleyball Court comes from its free and open access to a unique sports facility.
As the Elmina East Beach Volleyball Court is a public recreational facility and not a commercial establishment, there isn't a dedicated "contact information" like a phone number or email for the court itself.
However, for any inquiries related to the maintenance, booking (if applicable for organized events, though unlikely for general public use), or development plans for recreational facilities within Elmina, locals would typically contact:
- Elmina Township Management / Developer: Sime Darby Property is the master developer of Elmina. They would be the appropriate point of contact for feedback on facility conditions, maintenance requests, or general inquiries about the township's amenities. Their contact information (general customer service line or township management office) can usually be found on the Sime Darby Property official website or via the Elmina City's dedicated website.
- Local Community Associations: If there is a residents' association or community management body within Elmina East, they might also be a good point of contact for local issues or organized events at the court.
- Address (General Location): 40160 Elmina, Selangor, Malaysia. This general address can be used for navigation to the Elmina development. For the precise court location, using GPS with the provided address is recommended, but understanding that it's an "in-between compound" requires some local navigation once in the vicinity.
For users planning to play, direct interaction with other players or local sports groups (e.g., via social media groups) is often the best way to get real-time updates on court conditions or to organize games.
The Elmina East Beach Volleyball Court is highly suitable for locals in Selangor, particularly those residing in the Elmina township and its surrounding areas, for several compelling reasons. Firstly, its unique offering of dedicated sand courts provides a distinct recreational alternative to conventional parks or indoor sports facilities. For enthusiasts of beach volleyball, or those simply looking for a fun and engaging workout that utilizes different muscles than hard-court sports, this court is an invaluable local asset, bringing a touch of beach recreation right into their neighbourhood.
Secondly, the court significantly contributes to promoting an active and healthy lifestyle within the community. In an urban environment, having easily accessible outdoor sports facilities encourages residents to step out, exercise, and engage in social activities. It fosters a sense of community by providing a natural gathering point for sports lovers to organize games, practice, and connect with like-minded individuals. Despite the current condition of one court requiring maintenance, the mere presence of a usable beach volleyball court enhances the recreational value of the Elmina development, showcasing a commitment to diverse resident needs. Its integration within Elmina's broader green infrastructure further cements its role as a key component of a wholesome, active, and community-centric living environment, making it a truly suitable and beneficial facility for locals.

Elmina East Beach Volleyball Court Reviews
There are two beach courts, only one is in usable condition, the other has no net, and has considerably more vegetation covering the sand.Access to it is very tricky, you either go in through the housing areas, or park at the shoplot areas and walk through the jogging/cycling tracks. The pinned location is approximately where it is. It is not inside the housing areas, nor is it outside in the park areas, it is an in-between compound, similar to a futsal court.
