Hotel Royal Palm Lodge Introduce
Salam Sejahtera, warga Kuala Lumpur! When you're looking for a place to stay in our vibrant capital, whether it's for a quick city break, a business trip, or when you have friends or family visiting from out of town, finding the right lodging is crucial. Kuala Lumpur offers a vast array of choices, from luxurious hotels to budget-friendly hostels. Today, we're going to take a closer look at a particular lodging option: **Hotel Royal Palm Lodge**, located in the bustling area of Bukit Bintang.
Our goal in this article is to provide you with a clear, factual, and engaging overview of Hotel Royal Palm Lodge. We will discuss its prominent location and accessibility within Kuala Lumpur's city center, outline the typical services one might expect from such an establishment, and highlight key features. It's important to note that while we aim to be informative and professional, we will also incorporate insights from publicly available customer reviews to offer a comprehensive and balanced perspective. This will help you, as local users, make an informed decision when considering your lodging options in Kuala Lumpur.
Choosing where to stay can significantly impact your experience in the city. With that in mind, let's explore what Hotel Royal Palm Lodge has to offer, keeping in mind the expectations and priorities of travelers seeking accommodation in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.
---Hotel Royal Palm Lodge boasts a highly prominent and central location in Kuala Lumpur, situated at **85M & 87M, Jln Bukit Bintang, Bukit Bintang, 55100 Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia**. Bukit Bintang is undeniably one of Kuala Lumpur’s most dynamic and popular districts, renowned as a premier shopping, dining, and entertainment hub.
This address places the lodging right in the thick of the action. Jalan Bukit Bintang is synonymous with vibrant street life, numerous shopping malls like Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, Lot 10, and Fahrenheit88, and a plethora of international and local eateries. For anyone wanting to experience the bustling energy of KL, this location is hard to beat.
Accessibility to Hotel Royal Palm Lodge is excellent due to its prime position in Bukit Bintang. Kuala Lumpur boasts an extensive public transportation network, and Bukit Bintang is a major node. Guests can easily access the following:
Monorail: The Bukit Bintang Monorail station is typically just a short walk away, offering direct connections to other key areas like KL Sentral (the city's main transportation hub) and Chow Kit.
MRT: The Bukit Bintang MRT station is also very close, providing access to the Kajang Line, which connects to many parts of the greater Klang Valley, including TRX Exchange and Bandar Utama.
Buses: Numerous Rapid KL bus routes operate along Jalan Bukit Bintang, offering affordable and convenient travel to various destinations across the city.
Ride-sharing Services: Being in such a central location, ride-sharing services like Grab are readily available, providing easy door-to-door transport.
Walking: Many attractions, including Changkat Bukit Bintang (for nightlife), Jalan Alor (for street food), and various shopping centers, are within comfortable walking distance, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the local atmosphere without needing transport.
The central location makes it very convenient for exploring KL's major landmarks, business districts, and tourist hotspots. However, it's worth noting that being in such a busy area can sometimes mean facing city noise and traffic, which is a common characteristic of central urban lodging. Despite this, for those prioritizing connectivity and access to city life, the location of Hotel Royal Palm Lodge is a significant advantage.
---Hotel Royal Palm Lodge, as a lodging establishment, generally aims to provide fundamental services for its guests. However, it's crucial to acknowledge that based on customer reviews, the actual delivery and quality of these services may vary significantly and may not meet standard expectations for cleanliness, safety, or customer care. Typical services one might expect from such a lodging, though potentially with caveats based on feedback, include:
Room Accommodation: The primary service is providing guest rooms for overnight stays. These might range from private rooms to dormitory-style setups, catering to different traveler types and budgets. However, customer feedback indicates issues with room allocation not matching bookings (e.g., booked an 8-person dorm, received a small room with 2 beds).
Basic Furnishings: Rooms would typically include beds, and possibly a basic wardrobe or small table. Critically, reviews mention issues with bed cleanliness ("The bed was so dirty") and lack of amenities like towels ("No towel provided").
Bathroom Facilities: Lodgings generally offer private or shared bathroom facilities. While bathrooms are expected, their condition and cleanliness are paramount.
Reception/Check-in Services: A reception area for check-in and check-out, and possibly basic inquiries, is a standard offering. However, customer reviews explicitly state, "The staffs are not nice, not friendly and not helpful," which is a significant concern for guest service.
Security Measures: Lodgings are expected to provide a basic level of security for guests and their belongings. However, a review raises serious safety concerns, particularly for solo female travelers, citing an incident of harassment ("one foreigner staying same floor with me saw me and teased me, he asked me whether I'm free tonight.. I was so scared").
Internet Access (Potentially): While not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews, many modern lodgings, even budget ones, offer Wi-Fi access. Its reliability and speed would be key considerations.
Cleanliness and Housekeeping: Regular cleaning of rooms and common areas is a fundamental service. However, reviews highlight severe issues, including "sooooo many bed bugs" and a staff admission that "if customers don’t ask them to change bed covers, they usually don’t change it."
It is evident from the customer reviews that the actual services provided, particularly in terms of cleanliness, safety, and staff helpfulness, fall significantly short of basic expectations for any lodging establishment. This information is critical for potential guests to consider.
---Based on the provided information, the primary "features" of Hotel Royal Palm Lodge, from a factual standpoint, seem to be centered around its location and its pricing strategy. However, it is imperative to also highlight the significant negative feedback received, as these are critical characteristics that define the guest experience.
Potential Highlights (Based on Information, but with Strong Caveats):
Prime Central Location in Bukit Bintang: This is arguably its most significant factual "highlight." Being on Jalan Bukit Bintang means direct access to Kuala Lumpur’s major shopping malls, diverse dining options (including Jalan Alor's famous street food), vibrant nightlife at Changkat Bukit Bintang, and excellent public transport links (Monorail, MRT). For those who want to be in the heart of the action, the location itself is highly convenient for exploring the city.
Low Price Point: As one review states, "I get what I paid for.. Cheap price, this cheap stay." This indicates that the lodging likely targets budget-conscious travelers, offering a very low price compared to other options in the same prime area. For some, the extremely low cost might be the primary attraction, provided they are willing to overlook the significant drawbacks.
Critical Features / Significant Concerns (Based on Customer Reviews):
Misrepresentation of Room Types: Customers reported not receiving the room type they booked (e.g., an 8-person dorm replaced with a small 2-bed room), indicating a disparity between advertised and actual offerings.
Severe Cleanliness Issues: This is a major concern. Reviews explicitly mention "dirty beds," a "needle head on my bed," and "sooooo many bed bugs." The staff's alleged response about not changing bed covers unless requested, and dismissing bug bites as "allergy," indicates a serious lack of hygiene standards and accountability.
Lack of Essential Amenities: "No towel provided" is a basic amenity expected even in budget lodging, highlighting a deficiency in fundamental provisions.
Safety Concerns for Solo Travelers (Especially Ladies): A specific incident of harassment by another guest and feeling "scared" raises significant red flags regarding the safety and security environment, particularly for women staying alone.
Unprofessional and Unhelpful Staff: Direct feedback states, "The staffs are not nice, not friendly and not helpful," which significantly detracts from the guest experience and problem resolution.
Discrepancy Between Displayed and Actual Room Condition: "The room is not same as what displayed!!" suggests misleading marketing, potentially showing photos that do not accurately represent the current state of the rooms.
Overall Negative Experience: The strong negative sentiments, including "terrible and horrible hostel," "not recommend," and "so RELIEF to move out," strongly indicate a consistently poor guest experience.
In summary, while Hotel Royal Palm Lodge offers a prime location and potentially very low prices in Bukit Bintang, these are heavily overshadowed by severe and consistent negative feedback regarding cleanliness, safety, staff conduct, and accuracy of representation. These critical points should be the primary considerations for anyone thinking of booking here.
---For those considering Hotel Royal Palm Lodge despite the public feedback, or perhaps for direct inquiries, here is the provided contact information. It is always advisable to use these details for any communication regarding reservations or concerns.
The primary phone number for Hotel Royal Palm Lodge is **03-2110 5337**.
For mobile or international calls, the number is **+60 3-2110 5337**.
The physical address of the lodging is:
**85M & 87M, Jln Bukit Bintang, Bukit Bintang, 55100 Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia**
When attempting to contact the hotel, it is recommended to have your booking details (if applicable), preferred dates of stay, and any specific questions or concerns ready. Given the nature of the reviews, it might be prudent to prepare a list of questions regarding cleanliness protocols, security measures, and how room types are guaranteed. Direct communication can sometimes clarify doubts, although past customer experiences suggest potential challenges with staff responsiveness or helpfulness. It is always wise to confirm any details in writing if possible, especially regarding room types or specific requests.
---For residents of the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, considering lodging options in their own city might be for specific reasons: perhaps a quick staycation, accommodating out-of-town guests who are highly budget-conscious, or needing a very temporary base in the city center. When looking at Hotel Royal Palm Lodge, its suitability, even for locals, comes with very significant and serious caveats that must be thoroughly understood.
Potential Suitability (Conditional):
Unbeatable Central Location for Budget Travelers: The primary and almost singular appeal of Hotel Royal Palm Lodge is its location directly on Jalan Bukit Bintang. For locals or visitors who absolutely prioritize being in the heart of Kuala Lumpur's shopping, dining, and entertainment district, and who are seeking the absolute lowest possible price point, this location offers unparalleled access to public transport and city attractions. If the budget is the ONLY consideration and all other factors are secondary, its pricing in such a prime area might be its only "suitable" aspect.
Critical Factors to Consider (Making it Largely Unsuitable for Most):
Based on multiple, consistent, and strongly negative customer reviews, Hotel Royal Palm Lodge appears to fall drastically short on fundamental aspects of lodging suitability:
Serious Cleanliness Issues: Reports of dirty beds, bed bugs, and staff's reluctance to change linens are major health and comfort concerns. For any guest, cleanliness is paramount, and these issues make a stay highly uncomfortable and potentially unhealthy.
Safety Concerns: The reported incident of harassment highlights a significant lack of safety, particularly for solo female travelers. A safe environment is a non-negotiable requirement for any lodging, and this is a severe drawback.
Poor Customer Service: Unfriendly, unhelpful, and dismissive staff (as described in reviews) can turn any stay into a negative experience, especially when issues like cleanliness or safety arise.
Misleading Representations: Rooms not matching displayed images and booking discrepancies create an immediate sense of distrust and dissatisfaction.
Overall Negative Experience: The strong sentiments of "terrible," "horrible," and "so RELIEF to move out" from previous guests indicate a consistently poor and unpleasant stay. It suggests that the low price comes at an extremely high cost to comfort, dignity, and safety.
In conclusion, while Hotel Royal Palm Lodge's location in Bukit Bintang is undeniably prime and its prices might be very low, the overwhelming and severe negative feedback regarding cleanliness, safety, and service strongly suggests that it is **NOT RECOMMENDED** for most travelers, including locals. While some individuals on an absolute shoestring budget might consider it, the risks to comfort, hygiene, and personal safety appear to far outweigh any potential monetary savings. Locals seeking a comfortable and respectable stay for themselves or their guests should likely explore other options within Kuala Lumpur, even if it means a slightly higher cost, for a more reliable and pleasant experience.

Hotel Royal Palm Lodge Reviews
14 October 2019. I made a reservation for 3D2N.I don't even want to give a star😭I moved out after the first night!I booked a 8 person female dorm. But ended up they gave me a very small room with 2 beds inside (what to complain right?) what I want to say is they don't give you what u have booked. It was a terrible night. The bed was so dirty, I found a needle head on my bed. No towel provided. Not a safe place for lady to stay here alone. I went out early in the morning, and one foreigner staying same floor with me saw me and teased me, he asked me whether I'm free tonight.. I was so scared and immediately push the button to close the lift door. The room is not same as what displayed!!Lesson learnt. I get what I paid for.. Cheap price, this cheap stay. I was so RELIEF to move out!
Nov 21, 2019 · Lee Chin Ong⚠️NOT RECOMMEND⚠️I’ve never stayed such a terrible and horrible hostel. If you would like to respect yourselves, you mustn’t stay here. The staffs are not nice, not friendly and not helpful. There were sooooo many bed bugs.I booked here 2 night. But I just stayed 1 night, I got bit by bugs. I couldn’t sleep anymore because I was so afraid of bugs. The staff told me that if customers don’t ask them to change bed covers, they usually don’t change it.And I showed my injures to them, but they just said it was just allergy. They’ve never admitted that there are many bed bugs. But actually I saw them and I got bit by bugs.Just think carefully to stay here or not.
Oct 06, 2018 · N KI arrived yesterday around 9pm at hotel royal palm lodge . Your staff (indian lady, dark complexion ) refuse to check in me. She said , she can't check in patient into the premise. My husband just fall down near to your hotel, because the floor was wet (it was raining that time) So he can't walk on his own...he need somebody to help him to hold. Just because of that the lady refuse to check in us. (Please teach your staff some ethics and customer service skills, she is too rude and unfit to be a receptionist)That lady asked us to leave and find for other room and ask us to cancel the booking. She has a very bad knowledge and no manners at all.I really can't tolerate with her attitude. As I have no transportation to move ...you guys put me into trouble! !!Now, is this the way you all treat the guest? If your guest not weĺl ,you all will not allow him to stay at your place? When I booked the room, there is nothing stated in your terms and conditions. Can you all explain me?The worst hotel ever I stayed.I will definitely will NOT recommend any of my friends and relatives to stay at your place!!!Worst place!!!!On Thu, 29 Nov 2018 9:54 pm Hotel Royal Palm Lodge,
Nov 30, 2018 · Mumu Style Simple livingRundown hellhole run by a bunch of criminals. Avoid at all costs if you don't like being scammed. They almost never respect confirmed booking (even prepaid guaranteed ones) if they have extensions or walk-ins so, especially if you arrive late, expect being walked to a hotel next door (don't hope for an upgrade though or any apologies) or to be downgraded to a dorm bed. Better make them cancel your booking and walk away on your own. If decided to stay, double-check the rate (take your time, especially if you saw different currency on the booking site) and don't agree to any deposit (you are very unlikely to ever see it back, especially if you got walked). They routinely cancel online bookings on check-in to avoid paying commission, by the way, I don't know why booking sites still do business with them.Yet my worst complain is not about the deposit or rate scam and not about being walked, I booked two nights just so I can sleep in after my 15 hours flight, yet I ended up being waken up at 1 pm (because they only paid for one night at the hotel they walked me to, despite my specific and loud request), exactly the thing I wanted to avoid. I had an urge to walk away during the check in, I should've but I was to tired to think straight. Plus they do some renovations with lots of noise in the early morning, heard even from the other hotel, probably temporary situation but still awful.Area is full with cheap hotels, try to find something else (most of them got some bad reviews as well though, but that's a deeper issue I don't know how to address, short term rental condos, maybe?)
Jan 14, 2017 · Ivan AnishchukThere is not many good points✅ to find about this hotel except there is a cooled fridge and TV. The bad points❌ are peeling painted walls, a tiny bathroom that is the size of a toilet cubicle, the room has a foul smell and very noisy outside🏙 that I can’t go asleep. There is not much breathing space😤 especially for a three-bedroom that I have go outside to entertain myself, to make matters even worse, the outside seat is not good for my back‼️⛔️I would avoid this cheap hotel at all costs and find a cheaper alternative ⛔️
