There were 2 tables in the waiting area.Previously, we were provided with plastic stools to sit while waiting outside the corridor walkway. But with the climate changes, the operators move the customers into the front row inside the restaurant as the waiting area. You can order drinks while waiting for a suitable table to dine in. Meanwhile, we placed our food order. We had iced lor hon kor without sugar. The younger sister operator decided that the table we were sitting was enough for us to dine in.She set the table with bowls, chopsticks & spoons. Soon, a container of rice came. Cold tofu & braised bittergourd followed. The star of the meal - braised fish head was placed at the centre. Tasted the gravy - delicious!Their food is so consistent & quality is maintained. The belacan kangkong was the last dish. We ordered another round of drinks and finished the container of rice.I have never been disappointed with their food except that some dishes were no longer available example fried watercress with sauteed crunchy, chopped garlic, and fried kum heong pig's intestine (no stock from the supplier)It is truly one of the best homecooked meals you can get. The food order was RM 85. While the drinks - 5 iced lor hon kor and one iced Chinese tea : RM 15.80. Service was prompt, friendly, and we did not have to wait long for the food to be served.

Decades after my last visit, the Spicy Braised Fish Head is still immensely popular and remains the 'mandatory dish' on every table. A noteworthy lunch for nostalgic reasons. With development encroaching upon the fringes of Pudu area and the proprietor has stopped serving dinner, it's high time to get a taste of this unique dish if you haven't done so already.

The dish on everyone’s table is the black bean steamed fish it was the best dish there. The rest of the portions are small and you need to order more. Definitely not suitable for kids and only go if you have 3 hours lunch time to spare.
