Kuala Lumpur, a melting pot of cultures and culinary traditions, offers an extraordinary array of dining experiences. For those residing in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur and seeking authentic, delicious, and reasonably priced Chinese cuisine, Pudu City Restaurant emerges as a noteworthy destination. Situated in the vibrant and historic Pudu area, this restaurant promises a satisfying culinary journey through well-loved Chinese dishes, catering to the local palate with both classic favourites and tempting baked goods.
The Chinese food scene in Kuala Lumpur is incredibly rich and diverse, ranging from bustling hawker stalls to elegant dining establishments. Pudu City Restaurant carves out its niche by focusing on delivering "delicious food at reasonable price," a combination highly sought after by local diners. The mention of specific popular items like "chicken rice with roasted pork" and "fried kue teow with 4 prawns" immediately signals its appeal to those familiar with beloved Malaysian-Chinese comfort food staples.
Beyond its main courses, the inclusion of "Kaya puff, tarts, siew pao taste great too" suggests a broader culinary offering that extends to popular Chinese pastries, making it a versatile spot for various cravings throughout the day. For residents of Kuala Lumpur looking for a "clean and cozy environment" to enjoy a hearty and affordable Chinese meal, Pudu City Restaurant appears to be a compelling choice, embodying the spirit of local eateries that become regular haunts for the community.
Pudu City Restaurant is conveniently located at 346, First Floor, Jalan Pudu, Pudu, 55100 Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This address places it squarely within the dynamic and easily recognizable Pudu district, a traditional area in Kuala Lumpur known for its lively atmosphere, historical shophouses, and, importantly, its strong reputation as a food haven. Being situated on Jalan Pudu, a major arterial road, ensures that the restaurant is quite accessible from various parts of Kuala Lumpur.
The restaurant's location on the "First Floor" is a detail worth noting for first-time visitors, as it implies it's not at street level. Furthermore, the area is within a reasonable walking distance or a short ride from several LRT and Monorail stations, making it convenient for commuters and those who prefer to avoid driving in the city centre. While direct parking information isn't provided, Pudu is a dense urban area, and street parking can be competitive. Diners driving might need to explore nearby public parking facilities or consider ride-sharing services for a hassle-free arrival. Nevertheless, its central location and public transport connectivity make Pudu City Restaurant a readily accessible dining destination for residents throughout the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur.

Pudu City Restaurant Reviews
if you can refer to the image taken, 5 star originally was given to "Cheong Kee Siew Pow (Pudu)" at Ground floor which is now permanently closed.either is Google's bug or Pudu City Restorant dishonesty robe all the review over and become it's own.
Apr 14, 2025 · Vicky Lim (冰淇淋)Delicious food at reasonable price. The chicken rice with roasted pork is really good, fried kue teow with 4 prawns taste good and big portions. Kaya puff, tarts, siew pao taste great too. Clean and cozy environment.
Jan 14, 2024 · Jackie cckLove their egg tart and siewpao very much, it’s so good I can have 5 personally! The ice lemon tea is also surprisingly nice and refreshing, not too sweet and it’s not bitter at all for the after taste. The staff were very friendly, atmosphere is nice to enjoy the food.
Nov 12, 2023 · Carmen KhooI can't say enough good things about this place. It's a place that you can come here for a big meal if you are seriously hungry, yet also an ideal place to come if you just want some light bites.Their siew bao ( or known as bbq pork bao) is a must-try. Cheong Kee siew bao is very famous in east Malaysia, they have 6 stores there and recently they opened this 7th chain, which is their only chain in west Malaysia.Their pineapple mochi egg tart is also another must-try item, available in both original and matcha flavors. I was skeptical in the beginning, but oh my....I'm happy that I tried. It's sinfully delicious and not overly sweet. The only downside is that it's quite big, better for 2-3 people sharing. Would be nice if they create a smaller version, let's say a square egg tart, instead of rectangular shape.I also love their jiggly sponge cake. It's a perfect recreation of what I used to eat when I was a kid. They offer both original flavor and meat floss flavor. At this place, you can also have different flavors of baos, noodles, and rice. Kindly refer to my photos. This restaurant has gathered all the yummy goodies of highly rated chefs that used to be scattered across KL. Now we can enjoy all of them at the same place!Service: their service is very good and attentive.Space: The dining area is very spacious and clean, equipped with lots of fans.Parking: they have plenty of parking at the back. If you go by car, please turn left at the alley, which is located right next to this resto, you will find plenty of free parking behind this resto.
