The KL Bird Park boasts a fantastic location at 920, Jalan Cenderawasih, Tasik Perdana, 50480 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The scenic drive through the verdant landscape of Tasik Perdana leading up to the park entrance is often part of the enjoyable experience itself, setting the tone for the natural wonders awaiting inside. Despite being a popular tourist destination, its accessibility makes it a practical and enjoyable outing for residents of Kuala Lumpur.

The KL Bird Park regularly offers promotions and special rates, particularly for Malaysian residents. These are designed to make the park more accessible and provide added value for locals.
- MyKad Holders Discount: Malaysian citizens with a MyKad (or MyKid for children) are eligible for significantly reduced admission rates. Currently, adult MyKad holders pay RM45.00, while children (3-11 years old) with MyKid pay RM20.00, and senior citizens (60 years and above) with MyKad pay RM20.00. This is a substantial saving compared to standard rates for international visitors.
- Affiliate Card Promotions: The park often partners with various loyalty programs or credit/debit card providers to offer special discounts. For example, there might be promotions for Watsons Member Card holders, Mydin Kad Meriah members, or specific bank credit/debit card users (e.g., UOB Credit/Debit Card holders typically receive a special discount on adult MyKad admission rates, often reducing it further to RM36.00). These promotions usually have terms and conditions, such as valid for over-the-counter purchases and requiring presentation of both the card and MyKad. It’s always a good idea to check the KL Bird Park’s official website for the latest collaborations and their validity dates.
- School Packages: Special admission rates and food packages are available for local government and private kindergarten, primary, and secondary school groups. These often include an entrance ticket and a packed lunch, with incentives like one free teacher ticket for every fifteen full-paying students. Pre-booking with a formal letter from the school is usually required to enjoy these rates.
- Photography with Birds: While feeding parakeets might involve a small fee, other interactive experiences like feeding ostriches and emus are often free, providing added value to your ticket.
To ensure you get the best deal, it is highly recommended that locals check the "Promotions & Packages" section on the official KL Bird Park website (www.klbirdpark.com) before planning their visit. Promotions are subject to change, so verifying the latest offers is crucial.

KL Bird Park Reviews
Fun for all ages. You can get really close to some of these birds. There are so many different kinds, all different sizes. Some out of their cages and some in cages. They appear to be happy and well taken care of. My favorite part was being able to feed the parakeets for a small fee. Feeding the ostriches and emus were free though. I didn’t know they like to eat Chinese vegetables. At the time the waterfall area was closed for maintenance. We spent an hour here but you could easily spend more but we just didn’t have the time. There is also a big gift shop and a small store selling drinks and ice cream.

Mar 26, 2025 · Manu MohanLots of interesting birds here and they do a good job explaining their origins and habitats with the signage. The kids with us really enjoyed the experience especially the bird feeding. Sometimes the birds may swoop a bit close to you but not to attack you; they're just birds being birds. It's outdoors so be mindful of the heat and weather if rain is in the forecast.
May 21, 2025 · Andrew InglisVisited KL Bird Park and had a great experience! The park is beautifully maintained with a wide variety of birds roaming freely in their natural-like habitat. The walk-through aviary is impressive, and the bird shows are fun for all ages. It’s a peaceful escape in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. Some areas could use a bit of updating, but overall, a must-visit for nature and bird lovers.
