Masjid Ar-Rahimah Introduce
Nestled within the established community of Taman Greenwood, Batu Caves, Selangor, Masjid Ar-Rahimah stands as a prominent and cherished landmark for the local Muslim population. As a 'masjid' (mosque), it serves as the central hub for congregational prayers, spiritual gatherings, and various community activities, playing a far more extensive role than a smaller surau. Masjid Ar-Rahimah is renowned for its generous space, comfortable environment, and cleanliness, making it a preferred destination for daily worship and the crucial Friday prayers (Solat Jumaat) for residents and visitors alike in Selangor. Its presence enriches the spiritual fabric of Taman Greenwood, providing a dedicated and serene sanctuary amidst the urban landscape.
The mosque is not just a building for prayer; it is a vibrant center for community life. It fosters a sense of unity and belonging among its congregants, offering a space for spiritual nourishment, learning, and social interaction. For those living in the surrounding areas of Batu Caves, Masjid Ar-Rahimah is an indispensable part of their daily routine, a place where they can gather to fulfill their religious obligations in comfort and peace. The unique characteristics of this "old mosque," combined with its practical amenities, solidify its position as a significant institution dedicated to serving the spiritual and communal needs of the Muslim population in this part of Selangor.
Location and Accessibility
Masjid Ar-Rahimah is conveniently located on Jalan 14, Taman Greenwood, 68100 Batu Caves, Selangor, Malaysia. This address places it squarely within a well-established residential area, making it highly accessible for the residents of Taman Greenwood and neighbouring communities in Batu Caves. Jalan 14 is a familiar street within the local area, ensuring that the mosque is easy to find for both long-term residents and new visitors.
For those traveling by foot, the mosque boasts "easy access by foot from Duke Highway," indicating its proximity to a major road artery. While this might suggest easy access for pedestrians, it's worth noting that vehicular access and parking are key considerations. While the mosque itself is large and spacious, customer reviews highlight a challenge with "lack of parking spaces." This suggests that while the mosque is centrally located within the community, finding a parking spot, especially during peak prayer times like Friday, might require planning. Despite this, its location within Taman Greenwood ensures that it remains a primary and convenient place of worship for the local populace, well-integrated into their daily lives and commuting patterns within Selangor.

This implies a unique architectural or historical aspect, where the prayer direction is precisely calibrated, even if the building's exterior orientation differs, showcasing a dedication to accuracy in worship.
- Accessible by Foot from Duke Highway: Despite potential parking challenges, its accessibility from a major highway (Duke Highway) suggests ease of reach for pedestrians, potentially benefiting those who commute or live nearby without personal vehicles.
- Established "Old Mosque": Being an "old mosque" suggests it has a long history and deep roots within the Taman Greenwood community, potentially holding historical and communal significance.
- Overall Good Mosque: Despite the parking concerns, the overarching sentiment from reviews is that "Overall it is a good mosque," indicating that its core functions and environment are highly regarded.

Masjid Ar-Rahimah Reviews
A very big mosque, spacious, air conditioned and pretty clean too.But one thing that is a bit of a nuisance is the lack of parking spaces. The proportion of the size of the mosque compared to the parking spaces available is just not right.Hopefully the management will increase the parking spaces.Overall it is a good mosque.
