NASI ROYALE HAJI LUKMAN Introduce
Greetings, food lovers of Selangor! When the craving for authentic Malaysian flavours hits, especially the rich and aromatic goodness of Nasi Kandar or other local delights, where do you turn? In Bandar Baru Bangi, one name that often comes up in conversation is Nasi Royale Haji Lukman. Situated in Seksyen 15, this restaurant aims to be a go-to spot for those seeking traditional tastes and a hearty meal.
Nasi Kandar, with its signature colourful rice and an array of curries and side dishes, holds a special place in the hearts (and stomachs) of many Malaysians. Nasi Royale Haji Lukman brings this beloved concept to Bandar Baru Bangi, offering a taste that locals can appreciate. Beyond the popular Nasi Kandar, the restaurant also offers other well-loved dishes.
Customer experiences, however, offer a mixed bag, which is common for many eateries serving traditional cuisine where expectations can be highly subjective. One positive reviewer, trying their food during Ramadan for iftar, praised it as "Marvelous" and expressed interest in trying their "mee daging too, people said very nice n delicious." This highlights the potential for certain dishes to be highly satisfying and suggests that the mee daging, in particular, might be a hidden gem worth exploring.
On the other hand, a more critical review shared a disappointing experience: "I passed by this place a few times, so I just had to try it out... Bought nasi kandar kuah banjir, ayam bawang and sayur togeh. The whole dish looked so tempting.. so I decided to eat it the old fashion way..by hand! So I dig in..to my disappointment the whole dish was cold!! The whole thing! Chicken, kuah banjir, sayur!!! So i get the staff to reheat the food. After a few minutes..I got it back..fine, it was warm..on the surface. After a few bites, I just can't eat it anymore and stopped. The teh o ais... Another disappointment.. the teh was n old I guess because it tasted funny. Teh da lama.. rasa masam.. I'm sorry, I will not come to this place again." This detailed account points to significant issues with food temperature and the quality of a beverage, which are crucial aspects of a dining experience. The mention of "nasi kandar kuah banjir" suggests they aim for the rich, gravy-laden style popular among fans of the dish.
These reviews provide a valuable, if contrasting, insight. While the cold food and old tea are definite areas for improvement, the potential for delicious "mee daging" and the general appeal of "Nasi Royale" (a type of Nasi Kandar) still make it a point of interest for local food explorers. It underscores the importance of fresh preparation and consistent quality control, especially for dishes meant to be served warm.

Feb 27, 2025 · Mohd BobFamous mamak at Alor Staq Kedah is now available at Bangi. Delicious yellow rice nasi kandar with varieties of mamak dishes.
Jan 06, 2025 · Tan ArmanHonestly, I'm not the guy who you would go to talk to when it comes to nasi kandar. I'm no nasi kandar connoisseur. Most of the time, I don't get the difference between the sauces and kuah. But recently I went to a very good nasi kandar place (original from Penang), which has ignited something in me to find more good nasi kandar places around here.Truthfully, that effort wasn't easy. Around Kajang and Bangi, there are not many authentic nasi kandar places available. Yes, I've been to all the famous and hyped up places. Probably even your favourite ones. Most of them are just okay and serviceable. What about this place? I guess I probably put this place as "not the best one, but better than the rest". I went with Ayam Bawang as the main star of my nasi kandar, and of course all the kuah campur. And that's probably the best decision I could make. The chicken itself is crispy (it's actually fried chicken with onion sauce), and the onions tasted just enough to not overwhelm the dish. It's definitely the place's signature. The price is also very reasonable and cheap, when compared to other places. Nobody would argue that a nasi kandar experience can easily get expensive, if you went to the wrong place. So that's another plus.I think its biggest flaw is the portion. Usually, the rice and side dish portions in a nasi kandar will be huge. Anyone who hasn't eaten in a day can easily get the stomach full when they eat nasi kandar. However, this place is the opposite of that. The rice is small in numbers, even my vegetable (cabbages) is very, very small. It's the first time where I don't feel full after eating a nasi kandar. So that's saying something. The place itself is okay. I wouldn't say it's as big as a mamak restaurant, but it's not small. Other than that, it's a good start to the restaurant with some things to improve on. I'll definitely be coming back to try the other main dishes later. And hopefully they will improve, considering I feel like the requirements needed to be one of the good nasi kandar places are very low especially here.GOOD TO TRY AT LEAST ONCE
May 03, 2024 · Nizzam BaharuddinThe food just like another Mamak Resto.. Nothing different just using yellow rice like any other Nasi Royale... Waiting quite sometime for the "Goreng-goreng" when everybody already finished their meals.. Can do better. This corner has been graveyard for many restorant.. Let see if it can survived...
