Pantai Redang Sekinchan Introduce
Living in Selangor, we are often on the lookout for serene spots to unwind and escape the hustle and bustle of city life. While Selangor might be famous for its vibrant urban centers and lush green spaces, it also boasts hidden gems along its coastline that offer a refreshing change of scenery. One such treasure is Pantai Redang Sekinchan, a beloved local destination that promises a peaceful and breezy retreat.
Nestled in the charming fishing village of Sekinchan, Pantai Redang is more than just a beach; it's a place where you can truly relax, breathe in the fresh sea air, and enjoy the simple pleasures of coastal life. It’s an ideal spot for those looking to enjoy the atmosphere and capture beautiful moments, making it a popular choice for families and individuals alike who want a quick escape to relax and unwind.
Pantai Redang Sekinchan is conveniently located in the northern part of Selangor, making it an accessible destination for residents across the state. The full address is Pantai Redang Sekinchan, 25, Jalan Jpt, 45400 Sekinchan, Selangor, Malaysia. Sekinchan itself is a well-known agricultural and fishing town, famous for its vast paddy fields and fresh seafood. This makes the journey to Pantai Redang part of the adventure, as you can take in the picturesque landscapes of green or golden paddy fields depending on the season, before arriving at the coast.
Getting to Pantai Redang Sekinchan is straightforward, whether you are driving or using public transport. For those driving, there is ample parking available, and what’s even better, parking is currently free, which is a pleasant surprise for many visitors. The drive from central Selangor areas is scenic and generally smooth, allowing for a comfortable journey. While direct public transportation might require a bit more planning, many visitors opt for ride-sharing services or organized tours that often include Sekinchan in their itineraries, ensuring easy access to this charming beach.
While Pantai Redang Sekinchan is primarily a natural attraction, it offers several conveniences that enhance the visitor experience, making it a comfortable spot for a day out. Here are some of the services you can typically find:
Food and Drink Stalls: You'll find a variety of local food stalls in the vicinity. These stalls often sell popular Malaysian snacks and drinks, such as goreng pisang (fried banana fritters), keropok lekor (fish crackers), and refreshing coconut shakes, perfect for a seaside treat.
Public Facilities: Basic public amenities are available to ensure a comfortable visit. These may include public restrooms, though it’s always good to be prepared for varying levels of upkeep at such locations.
Parking: As mentioned, there is abundant and currently free parking, which is a significant advantage for those driving to the beach.
Dried Seafood Vendors: Given Sekinchan’s identity as a fishing village, it's common to find vendors selling fresh and dried seafood products like ikan bilis (anchovies) and scallops, allowing you to take a piece of Sekinchan home with you.
Pantai Redang Sekinchan holds a unique charm, distinguishing itself from other beaches in the region. It's not just about the sand and sea; it's the entire experience that draws visitors. Here are some of its standout features:
Peaceful and Breezy Atmosphere: The beach is well-regarded for its calm vibe and strong, refreshing winds, making it an ideal spot to simply sit back, relax, and enjoy the atmosphere. It’s a place for quiet contemplation rather than high-energy water sports.
The "Wishing Tree": One of the most iconic attractions at Pantai Redang Sekinchan is its famous "Wishing Tree." This large tree is adorned with countless red ribbons, each carrying a wish from visitors. It's a beautiful sight and offers a unique cultural experience for those who wish to partake in the tradition of tying their own ribbon with a hope or prayer.
Scenic Views and Photography Opportunities: Despite the sea water not being ideal for swimming, the beach offers picturesque views, particularly during sunset. The combination of the vibrant fishing boats, the unique wishing tree, and the open sky creates a perfect backdrop for photography enthusiasts.
Proximity to Local Attractions: Pantai Redang Sekinchan is conveniently located near other popular Sekinchan attractions. Visitors can easily combine their beach visit with a trip to the nearby Sekinchan Paddy Gallery to learn about rice cultivation, or explore the bustling fishing jetty.
Clown Amusement Park: For families with children, there's even a "noisy clown amusement park" nearby, providing a fun distraction and adding to the overall family-friendly appeal of the area.
As a public beach, Pantai Redang Sekinchan itself doesn't typically run promotions or special offers for entry, as access is generally free. However, visitors to the area can often find promotions for nearby attractions and accommodations in Sekinchan. For instance, MSekin Wonderland Water Theme Park, located close to Pantai Redang, frequently offers online discounts for its admission tickets for Malaysian citizens, with different rates for adults, children, and seniors. These often involve booking through specific platforms like Ticket2u. Additionally, hotels and resorts in Sekinchan, such as the Sekin Fisherman Village Hotel & Resort, may offer promotional rates or package deals that combine accommodation with other local experiences. It's always advisable to check travel websites and local tourism portals for the latest offers before planning your trip.

As a natural attraction, there isn't a dedicated customer service line for the beach itself. Pantai Redang Sekinchan Reviews
A peaceful and breezy spot that’s great for a quick escape to relax and unwind. The strong winds and calm vibe make it perfect for just sitting back and enjoying the atmosphere. However, don’t expect much from the beach itself. The sea water is unfortunately quite dirty, so it’s more of a chill-and-enjoy-the-view type of place rather than one for swimming.
May 01, 2025 · Choy Chee WeiPerhaps one of the most popular spots and to do in sekinchan. The beach is cleaner than what i imagined in my previous visit. The temple with the tree and red ribbons is really beautiful. Lots of parking and i am surprised that parking is free (for now). You can buy some dried seafood like ikan billis, scallops etc. there is even a noisy clown amusement park.
Dec 29, 2024 · Dhennver NgIts not up to its name. Not pleasant to me. I dont get the idea of having a small playground fair area thats taking quite the space. Its already small and having this fair makes it more smaller. Crowded it is. Lots of food stalls. The temple and the wishing trees gave more attraction compared to this beach area. Idk myb in future can plan for something unique to make this beach stands more.
Feb 03, 2025 · SHSBquite beautiful view but lack of maintenance. next to the fishing pier. not much change, last time came before mco. hopefully next time will be more maintained.
Nov 23, 2024 · Suka SempoiThis beach is pretty nice, offering a relaxing atmosphere with soft sand and gentle waves. Along the shore, vendors sell a variety of snacks, souvenirs, and beach toys, adding to the lively vibe. Occasionally, you can spot fishing boats heading out to sea, creating a picturesque scene against the horizon. At night, the beach transforms into a breathtaking sight, with a stunning starry sky overhead and, on rare occasions, the mesmerizing aurora. It’s a great spot to unwind, take in the beauty of nature, and enjoy a peaceful escape by the sea.
