Resorts World Awana Introduce
Assalamualaikum and hello to all our dear friends in Pahang! When the city heat gets a bit much, or when you’re craving a refreshing mountain retreat, where do you think of heading? For many of us, the answer is often Genting Highlands. But beyond the bustling peak, there's a serene and equally appealing option that offers a perfect blend of relaxation and activity: Resorts World Awana.
Resorts World Awana is more than just a hotel; it's a destination within itself. Nestled amidst the cool, misty embrace of the Genting Highlands, it offers a refreshing escape from the everyday. Guests have consistently praised its well-maintained rooms, comfortable amenities, and the serene environment, making it an excellent choice for families, couples, or even those on a work-related trip looking for a peaceful stay. While it's a bit further from the main theme park and Premium Outlets, this often translates into a more tranquil experience, and convenient shuttle services bridge that gap effectively.
This article will take you on a detailed tour of Resorts World Awana, highlighting its unique features, services, and why it stands out as a highly suitable lodging option for us, the local users of Pahang, seeking a memorable getaway in the highlands.
Resorts World Awana, located at Jln Utama Genting Highlands, offers a distinctive experience at 3,100 feet above sea level. Unlike the more bustling hotels at the peak, Awana provides a more tranquil atmosphere, often surrounded by lush rainforest, and is well-known for its championship golf course. It’s a place where you can truly breathe in the fresh mountain air and enjoy the cooler climate.
Recent guest experiences paint a very positive picture of the hotel. Visitors are impressed by the quality of the rooms, particularly in the Tower Hotel block, noting the good views, brightness, and thoughtful lighting settings. The cleanliness and organization of the bathrooms, complete with basic amenities and heaters, are also frequently highlighted. The comfortable mattresses and pillows ensure a good night's sleep, which is essential after a day of activities or relaxation.
What truly makes Resorts World Awana appealing, as echoed by reviews, is its commitment to providing good service. Even though dining options like Awana Garden Hotpot might have specific operating hours or priorities (like the Ramadan Buffet mentioned), the overall impression is one of a well-maintained property that prioritizes guest comfort. For families, the "Sixers Room" with bunk beds has been a hit with children, and the small balcony adds a nice touch for enjoying the cool mountain air. The presence of a heated pool and engaging nature activities like the Awana Trail further enhance the stay, making it a comprehensive and enjoyable destination for various types of travelers.
Resorts World Awana is situated at Resorts World Awana, Jln Utama Genting Highlands, 69000 Genting Highlands, Pahang, Malaysia. This prime address places it on the main road leading up to the peak of Genting Highlands, making it easily identifiable and accessible.
While some guests note its slight distance from the Genting Highlands Premium Outlets and the theme park, this is often seen as a positive for those seeking a quieter stay. The hotel understands this and provides convenient solutions: a free shuttle service is typically available to ferry guests to the Awana Skyway cable car station, which then offers a scenic ride directly to the main Resorts World Genting complex, including SkyAvenue Mall, the theme parks, and the casino. This means you can enjoy the serenity of Awana while still having seamless access to all the entertainment options at the peak.
For those traveling by car, there is usually ample parking available at the resort. The drive up to Genting Highlands itself is well-maintained, offering a pleasant journey through winding roads with scenic views. The location also makes it a good base for exploring other nearby attractions in the Gohtong Jaya area, which features various local eateries and shops. This strategic positioning provides a balance of peaceful retreat and convenient access to Genting's vibrant offerings.

For us, the people of Pahang, and indeed for any Malaysian planning a trip to Genting Highlands, Resorts World Awana presents an exceptionally suitable and appealing choice. It offers a well-rounded experience that perfectly aligns with what we typically look for in a mountain getaway: comfort, family-friendly amenities, and a chance to truly relax.
Firstly, the comfort and quality of the rooms, as consistently highlighted by guests, are paramount. Knowing that the rooms are "well-maintained and bright," with clean and well-organized bathrooms and "comfortable mattress and pillows," ensures a truly restful stay. For families, the existence of a "Sixers Room" with bunk beds shows that the hotel understands the needs of larger groups travelling together, making it an ideal setup for our multi-generational family trips.
Secondly, the array of activities available directly at the resort makes it a self-contained destination. The "heated pool" is a huge draw, allowing us to enjoy swimming even in the cool highland weather. The "Awana Trail" offers a fantastic opportunity for an easy and educational nature walk, perfect for families with children to explore our beautiful rainforests without venturing too far. These features mean that even if we choose not to go up to the bustling peak every day, there's still plenty to enjoy right at the hotel.
While some might consider its distance from the Premium Outlets and theme park a "downside," for many of us, this is precisely its charm. It offers a quieter, more serene environment, providing a true escape from the crowds. The availability of shuttle services ensures that access to these attractions is still convenient when desired. Resorts World Awana offers a genuine chance to recharge, enjoy nature, and create lasting family memories, all within our beloved state of Pahang. It's a highly recommended option for your next highland escape!

Resorts World Awana Reviews
I was impressed by the hotel room located in the Tower Hotel block. The view was good, although the golf course was still under construction. The room was well-maintained and bright. I particularly liked the lighting settings, which were better than those in the hotel I stayed at in Cameron. The toilet was clean, well-organized, and stocked with basic amenities. The mattress and pillows were comfortable. Service was good, and I would recommend this hotel. The only downside is that it is a bit of a distance from the Premium Outlet Mall and quite far from the theme park. The swimming pool is near to lobby.
Jun 10, 2025 · Planet Mars 2033We stayed in the Sixers Room as a group of three adults and two kids, and the space was just right for us. The kids especially loved the bunk beds! The room also had a small balcony, which was a nice touch.Breakfast wasn’t included in our booking, but we purchased it separately for 48 RM per adult. It was decent but nothing particularly special. We had hoped to try the Awana Garden Hotpot, but unfortunately, it was closed on weekdays as they prioritize the Ramadan Buffet. One of the highlights of our stay was the heated pool—it was perfect for relaxing, especially in the cool weather. We also did the Awana Trail, a guided 2km walk along a paved path. It was an easy and enjoyable experience, even for my 6-year-old. Along the way, we learned more about the forest and its inhabitants. We mostly saw beautiful flowers and towering trees, but we were lucky enough to spot tiny monkeys and a colorful bird as well!Overall, it was a fun and refreshing two-night stay for our family.
Mar 20, 2025 · Misty FloresNice and cosy stay overall. However, there was loud noise nearby from the machine (not sure what it was), which disrupted the peaceful vibe. It’s a bit of a mood-spoiler especially if you want to open the windows or balcony door to enjoy the cool night breeze. Hospitality could also be a bit warmer—there’s room to be more welcoming.
Jun 02, 2025 · 00YMar 2025It was a good stay than expected. This hotel was refurbished, pleasant yet elegantly nature inclined interior. We stayed in one-bedder suite, facing a beautiful view of the golf course. In the bright morning, with windows opened, fresh breezy air and birds chirping music filled in our unit on the 28th floor. And coupled with the nice coffee smell perfumed the room from freshly brewed coffee - Nespresso coffee machine is provided in our unit. Almost a perfect morning! Wished that the front desk was friendlier, We had to make a demand request to serve us the afternoon tea as we only arrived at 3:30pm, and the afternoon tea closes at 4pm. In fact - there were still a 30mins to closing time, but the front desk mentioned that afternoon tea has been closed for the day. At the restaurant for afternoon tea, people were nice and friendly.Be sure to check out the Genting Natures Adventures where it offers guided walk and non-guided walk. We took the guided walk and we truly enjoyed every moment with the explanation provided by the guide. She is very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about nature, vegetation and animal that resides in the Genting forests. Along the beginning path of the guided walk, you will be welcomed by the matured, beautifully maintained golf courses.Overall it was a nice and pleasant stay at the Awana Genting Resort! We will surely come back for our next stay with the children. Hopefully by the time, we can expect a better and positive experience at the front desk.
Apr 18, 2025 · Lee Lan KamIf you looking to enjoy a golfing holiday, this country club style hotel resort will be suitable for you. We didn't drive for this holiday, hence need to use their hourly 32 seaters shuttle bus to Genting premium outlet where you could take a cable car to Genting Highland. The rooms at the 29 storey towner wing were big, clean and spacious. We were assigned a 22 floor, scenery was good. Will be good to have own vehicle if you decide to stay here. Overall a comfortable stay.
