For a mocktails enthusiast I would definitely rate this place as the worst place to hangout on a Friday night to enjoy few glasses of mocktails. There’s nothing special nor distinguish about their drinks, just mix of sugar and fancy ingredients they shake together and make us pay a bomb. We ordered side dish, a plate of fish tempura which was still tasted like a frozen tempura that wasnt not heated properly when it was served on the table. The guilt that I feel for making my friends spending so much for fancy glasses drinks that they cant finish is real. But I must say we had a good time hanging out at this beautiful place, I guess we paid for the view. Never again. - Cheda Khan

Soberside (Non-alcoholic Bar) Introduce

For us locals in Kuala Lumpur, the city offers an endless array of dining and entertainment options. While the traditional bar scene thrives, there's a growing demographic seeking sophisticated social experiences without the presence of alcohol. Whether for health reasons, personal choice, or simply a desire for something different, the concept of a non-alcoholic bar is gaining traction. This is where Soberside (Non-alcoholic Bar) steps in, offering a unique proposition in the heart of our vibrant city. It's a place designed for those who want to enjoy the ambiance of a stylish bar, complete with expertly crafted beverages, but without the alcohol content.

Soberside presents itself as an innovative space, catering to the "sober curious" movement and providing an inclusive environment for everyone to unwind and socialize. It challenges the conventional idea of what a "bar" can be, focusing instead on the art of mixology with zero-proof ingredients. Imagine enjoying beautifully presented, complex drinks that engage your palate without the morning-after effects. This concept is a refreshing alternative for those looking for a healthier lifestyle, or simply a different kind of night out with friends and family.

Customer reviews offer a fascinating, albeit mixed, perspective on Soberside. One enthusiastic reviewer lauded the "super relaxing" ambiance, perfect for unwinding, and enjoyed watching the bartenders craft their special drinks, recommending booking ahead. This paints a picture of an engaging, high-energy atmosphere with skilled mixologists. However, another review expressed significant disappointment, describing the drinks as "just mix of sugar and fancy ingredients" and the food as unsatisfying, ultimately feeling it was "a waste of money." This highlights that while the concept and ambiance might be appealing, the execution of the drinks and food can be subjective and impactful on the overall experience. Despite the varied opinions on value and specific offerings, both reviews acknowledge the "beautiful place" and the "good time hanging out," suggesting that the ambiance and the social aspect are undeniable strengths of Soberside.

Location and Accessibility

Soberside (Non-alcoholic Bar) enjoys a prime and highly accessible location right in the bustling heart of Kuala Lumpur's City Centre. Its address is: 181-A (First Floor), Jalan Tun H S Lee, City Centre, 50000 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This puts it in a historically rich and culturally vibrant part of the city, making it incredibly convenient for locals from various areas.

Jalan Tun H S Lee is a well-known street in KL, often frequented by both locals and tourists due to its proximity to iconic landmarks and excellent public transportation networks. Being located on the "First Floor" adds a touch of exclusivity and offers a different perspective of the street below, contributing to the overall ambiance. For those of us relying on public transport, Soberside is within easy walking distance from several major public transportation hubs. The Pasar Seni LRT and MRT stations are just a short stroll away, providing seamless connectivity from virtually any part of Kuala Lumpur and even surrounding Selangor districts. Several bus routes also ply Jalan Tun H S Lee and its adjacent roads, offering additional options for accessibility.

For those driving, while parking in KL city centre can be challenging, there are often paid parking lots and street parking (where available) within walking distance. However, given its central location and excellent public transport links, opting for LRT, MRT, or ride-hailing services would likely be the most convenient way to reach Soberside. This prime positioning ensures that Soberside is not just a destination for a niche market but an accessible spot for anyone in KL looking for a unique non-alcoholic bar experience, perfectly integrated into the urban fabric.
