Taman Awam Pangkalan Batu Introduce
For us living in Selangor, especially in the historic town of Klang, the presence of green spaces by our beloved Klang River holds a special significance. They offer not just a place for recreation but also a connection to nature and a respite from urban life. Among these valuable spots is Taman Awam Pangkalan Batu, a unique public park that has become a quiet gem for locals seeking peace and a bit of outdoor activity.
As some of us might know, Taman Awam Pangkalan Batu is more than just a typical park. It's a "micro-park," as one review notes, intelligently designed with "wooden walkways over pocket wetlands," demonstrating a thoughtful use of space along the Klang River. While it might be "too small for a proper jog" for some, it's undeniably "a good use of an otherwise idle piece of small land," offering a tranquil environment for "evening walks, exercise, nature contemplation, children playground and so on."
This park provides a "nice view overlooking the river and mosque," referring to the majestic Masjid Bandar Di Raja Klang across the water. It’s a place where we can truly appreciate the ongoing efforts to rejuvenate the Klang River, being a significant part of the Selangor Maritime Gateway (SMG) initiative. Despite the occasional challenge, like the river's smell noted in a review, the park itself strives to be a beautiful and well-maintained "quiet" oasis, perfect for those moments when we just need to unwind and reconnect with our surroundings.

Taman Awam Pangkalan Batu Reviews
Quiet in the evenings. A bit secluded. A bit scary when it's quiet. Other than that, it's a really nice place for evening walks, exercise, nature contemplation, children playground and so on. Strangely toilet was locked. Really hope this place remain as beautiful as it is now.
Apr 19, 2025 · Wendy OlaA nice micro-park with wooden walkways over pocket wetlands. . Take note that this park is too small for a proper jog, but nevertheless it is a good use of an otherwise idle piece of small land next to Sg.Klang & provides a nice view overlooking the river and mosque. Unfortunately the adjacent river itself is smelly.

Jan 01, 2025 · Benjamin TengLet's go beyond the park. A hiden gem for natures, mangrove, birds and eagles... Never expect to see this in Klang town. Anyway, hoping to see greater state budget and nature funds to be allocated for revival of this ecosystem.
