Pusat Komersial Tsb is a commercial hub in Shah Alam, making it a potentially convenient spot for various businesses, including wellness centers. This location ensures accessibility for residents living within Shah Alam and its surrounding areas in Selangor.
For those traveling by car, Jalan Nautika A U20/A is part of a commercial area that typically offers straightforward access from major roads within Shah Alam. Parking availability in commercial centers like Pusat Komersial Tsb can vary, but generally, there are designated parking spots. It is always advisable to factor in a little extra time for parking, especially during peak business hours. For public transport users, while there might not be a direct LRT or MRT station within immediate walking distance, Shah Alam is served by various bus routes that connect to different areas. Its location within a commercial center aims to provide a practical and accessible spot for your spa needs.
Based on the nature of "AKMA SPA" and customer feedback, the primary service offered is massage, with specific mention of a "full-body massage" and a "relaxing massage." While a comprehensive list of all potential services may require direct inquiry with the establishment, here's what can be inferred:
- Full Body Massage: This is a standard offering, designed for overall muscle relief and relaxation. The specific mention of a "full-body kampung massage" suggests a traditional Malay massage style might be available, though clarification on the exact techniques and pressure levels (as per customer feedback) would be beneficial.
- Relaxing Massage: This service is specifically highlighted in the pricing discussion, indicating a focus on lighter pressure and general relaxation, as opposed to deep tissue work.
- General Spa Services: As a "SPA," it's plausible that they may offer other typical spa services beyond just massage, which could potentially include:
- Foot massage/Reflexology
- Head & Shoulder Massage
- Body Scrubs or Treatments (less common in basic massage-focused spas)
- Aromatherapy options (as implied by the "relaxing" aspect of massage)
It is always recommended to inquire directly with AKMA SPA @ Sungai Buloh for their complete and updated list of services, pricing, and any ongoing promotions to ensure you receive the precise treatment you desire.
Drawing from customer reviews, AKMA SPA @ Sungai Buloh presents a mixed bag of features and highlights that are important for potential visitors to consider. Here’s a breakdown:
- Positive Aspects Highlighted:
- Clean, Tidy & Cozy Environment: One customer praised the ambiance, describing it as "clean, tidy & cozy environment," contributing to a "relaxing" feel. This suggests that the visual and sensory aspects of the spa aim for comfort and tranquility.
- Overall Relaxing Feeling: Despite some issues, the initial impression for some customers can be one of relaxation, indicating the potential for a calming experience.
- Areas for Improvement / Important Considerations (from customer feedback):
- Confusing Pricing and Promotions: A significant concern raised was the lack of clear, upfront information regarding different massage types (e.g., "full-body kampung massage" vs. "relaxing massage") and their associated prices/promotions. This can lead to misunderstandings.
- Inconsistent Preparation & Hygiene: Issues noted include not providing standard items like disposable panties or plastic headcovers without being asked, and concerns about a "musty smell," dusty floor, and a "smelly towel" that emitted an "unpleasant odor reminiscent of an old, unwashed towel." These aspects are crucial for client comfort and hygiene.
- Room Condition Issues: A musty smell and malfunctioning air conditioning (not emitting cool air) were reported, indicating potential issues with room maintenance and readiness.
- Massage Technique Inconsistency: A key criticism for the "relaxing massage" was a lack of pressure, inconsistent and aimless technique, and uneven attention to body parts, failing to relieve muscle tension as expected from a massage.
- Unprofessional Therapist Behavior: Repeated loud belching by the masseuse throughout the session, followed by an unsettling response when questioned, was reported as unprofessional and uncomfortable.
- Excessive Chatter: A desire for quiet relaxation was disrupted by constant talking from the masseuse, requiring the client to explicitly ask for silence.
- Lack of Apology/Remedy for Issues: Despite multiple discomforts and disappointments, the customer reported no apology or attempt to rectify the situation, leading to dissatisfaction and a feeling of not being valued.
These points indicate that while the physical environment has potential, there are significant areas related to service clarity, hygiene, and therapist professionalism that prospective clients should be aware of and potentially clarify before booking.
For general inquiries or to make a booking, AKMA SPA @ Sungai Buloh can be contacted via the following details:
- Address: 79-1, Jalan Nautika A U20/A, Pusat Komersial Tsb, 40160 Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia
- Phone: 03-6148 0136
- Mobile Phone: +60 3-6148 0136
It is highly recommended that potential customers call ahead to clarify pricing, promotions, and the specific details of the massage types offered to ensure transparency and manage expectations. Discussing any specific preferences or concerns regarding room conditions or therapist demeanor during booking might also be beneficial for a more comfortable experience.
For the residents of Selangor considering AKMA SPA @ Sungai Buloh, it presents itself as a local option for massage and spa services within Shah Alam's Pusat Komersial Tsb. Its location offers reasonable accessibility for those in Shah Alam and surrounding areas, making it a convenient choice for a quick relaxation session. The positive feedback highlights a potentially cozy and relaxing environment, which can be a key factor for those seeking an escape from daily stress.
However, potential visitors should also be aware of the detailed feedback from a customer regarding inconsistencies in service, pricing clarity, hygiene standards, and therapist conduct. While one customer had a "great massage" and found the environment relaxing, another detailed a "disappointing and uncomfortable experience" covering various aspects from room conditions to massage technique and unprofessional behavior. This suggests that the client experience might be inconsistent, and potential visitors should consider calling ahead to clarify specific service details, prices, and express any particular preferences for their session to ensure a satisfactory experience. If the reported issues are addressed through management and staff training, AKMA SPA @ Sungai Buloh has the potential to be a valued local spot for relaxation in Selangor. As locals, managing our expectations and communicating our needs upfront can often contribute to a better outcome.

AKMA SPA @ Sungai Buloh Reviews
I had great massage here. Clean, tidy & cozy environment and it feel so relaxing. I'm going to come again next time. Keep up a good work and service 👍
May 30, 2025 · izzah mokhtar1. Confusing Information on Pricing and PromotionsI called to book a full-body massage and was informed it costs RM120 for an hour. When I inquired about the advertised RM100 promotion, I was told the promo is for a relaxing massage, not the rm120 full-body kampung massage. I opted for the RM100 promo anyway. It would have been helpful if the staff had clearly explained the differences between the massage types and associated prices upfront.2. Inadequate Preparation and Hygiene ConcernsUpon arrival, I was shown to my room and provided only a towel for coverage. I had to request a disposable panty, to which the masseuse responded, "Oh, nak ke?" Such items should be standard without needing to ask. Additionally, no plastic headcover was offered.3. Uncomfortable Room ConditionsThe room had a musty smell, and the floor felt dusty underfoot. The air conditioner turned on briefly but then stopped emitting cool air. When I mentioned this, a staff member claimed it was normal, despite the absence of cool air coming out from the aircond. Eventually, I was moved to a different room. Given that I arrived precisely at my appointment time, the room should have been prepared adequately.room.4. The Massage Was Barely ThereI might be able to tolerate all the above as series of unfortunate incidents, but the entire massage experience was worse. I was hoping for a relaxing massage to ease my sore muscles, but honestly, it felt like the masseuse was just lightly brushing over my skin. I mentioned that I couldn't feel any pressure, and she just said, "Oh, because this is a relaxing massage." Isn't a massage supposed to relieve muscle tension? Her technique was inconsistent and aimless, lacking a clear direction or focus. She would massage downward at one moment, then upward the next, and even neglected to massage both feet equally.5. Uncomfortable BehaviorShortly into the session, the masseuse started belching loudly and repeatedly. I asked if she is about to puke, thinking she might be unwell, but she laughed it off, saying, "Oh, it's gas from you. Are you scared?" That made me feel really uncomfortable. The belching still continued throughout the session, which was both unprofessional and unsettling. just terrible 😭6. Too Much ChatterI was looking forward to some quiet time to relax, but the masseuse kept talking non-stop. Eventually, I had to say, "I just want to sleep," before she finally stopped. It was hard to unwind with all the constant chatter.7. The Smelly Towel IncidentAt the end of the session, a cold towel was placed over my eyes, which emitted a strong, unpleasant odor, reminiscent of an old, unwashed towel. When I pointed this out, the masseuse acknowledged the smell, attributing it to storage in the refrigerator, but offered no replacement or means to clean my face, proceeded to remove the towel and just proceeded with the massage. It was gross and left me feeling even more uncomfortable. This was supposed to be a relaxing treat after a tough week, but it turned out to be a disappointing and uncomfortable experience. Despite all these issues, no one apologized, and I still had to pay the full RM100. That might not be a lot to some, but it's significant to me. I left feeling more stressed than when I arrived. I can't recommend this place and won't be returning unless they make serious improvements in their service/management/staff training.
