Cairnhill Hotel Kuala Lumpur is situated on a prominent stretch of Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah (formerly known as Jalan Ipoh), a major arterial road in Kuala Lumpur. Specifically, it is located at 3 ½ Miles, 478, Jln Sultan Azlan Shah, Jalan Ipoh, 51200 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This area is a well-established commercial and residential corridor, offering a mix of local businesses, eateries, and older residential developments.
From an accessibility standpoint for locals, Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah provides direct routes to various parts of Kuala Lumpur. It connects to the city center and other key areas. Public transportation options, particularly buses, are readily available along this main road, offering routes to major transportation hubs and other parts of the city. For us, the locals of Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, evaluating Cairnhill Hotel Kuala Lumpur requires a very specific understanding of its current status and what a potential guest might expect. Based on the provided public reviews, it appears that this hotel is currently facing significant challenges that would likely deter most general visitors, particularly those seeking a typical comfortable or family-friendly hotel experience.
The feedback explicitly mentions non-working TVs throughout the hotel, a closed carpark system, and a closed restaurant. More critically, the descriptions of the building feeling "so quiet," like a "ghost house," and the assertion that it operates as a "red district hotel where girls stay and provide services" with a "worst experience" at the spa, paint a picture that is far from a standard, welcoming hotel environment. The comment about "ladies also no quality" and the high-end pricing for these "special services" further clarifies the specific nature of its current operations, suggesting it caters to a very niche and potentially undesirable market for the average local or family.
Given this information, it is important to state that **Cairnhill Hotel Kuala Lumpur, based on the provided reviews, is generally NOT suitable for the typical local user seeking a standard hotel stay, family accommodation, or a comfortable leisure trip.** The reported lack of basic operational amenities (TVs, parking, restaurant) and the strong indication of it serving as a "red district hotel" with associated services are significant red flags that contradict the expectations of a clean, safe, and conventional hotel experience for the general public, including local families and individuals.
Therefore, while its location on Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah offers general accessibility within Kuala Lumpur, the current state and operational nature of the hotel, as detailed in customer reviews, make it an unsuitable recommendation for the broad local community looking for a standard hotel. Locals are advised to consider other accommodation options in Kuala Lumpur that align with general expectations of comfort, safety, and legitimate hotel services.

Cairnhill Hotel Kuala Lumpur Reviews
A rundown hotel. TV not working. When I ask the technician, he said the whole hotel's TV are not working. The building's carpark closed as the parking system also spoiled. The restaurant also closed down. I did not see any hotel guest on the day I checked in. The whole building of the hotel is so quiet. Feel like a ghost house. I will never come to this hotel again!!!
Jun 27, 2025 · Robert LeeThis hotel is a red district hotel where girls stay and provide services. The 6th floor spa also worst experience. No spa at all and ladies also no quality.Tips: Don't stay here unless you need special services. Price is high end btw
Mar 07, 2025 · MR. EJThe view is nice. But of course cheaper price means worst cleanliness and service. The bed has stains, and even hair... The room is smelly, shower don't have hot water. Full of dust. Not recommend to stay at here especially their breakfast is the worst because of cockroach is on the bread. The choice for breakfast are only porridge, noodles or toast (bread), don't have plain water but have orange juice, teh and coffee. The most important is the lock of the door isn't functioning, door can't open, people can't go in or out.
May 31, 2024 · Wong Yu JueThe room is very very very dirty. The floor is sticky. Clump of hairs on in the shower. The shower floortrap is clogged. The only reason i choose this hotel is because of the location. I need to go to high court KL early morning. Other hotels nearby was fully booked. Worst decisions ever! Yucks sucks! Dont ever book this hotel.ever ever ever again! For rate 150 pernight i would rather just sleep in car. Oh ya my son play near the windo only to findout the window lock in broken. Can u imagine if anythg happen?im lost for words of how bad ths hotel is.
