Chong Ko Hakka Noodle Kuala Lipis 立卑彰哥客家肉碎面 Reviews
Old Lipis brings back fond memories when I was a young man assigned to do stocktake at the timber factory. Today after more than 30 years, we came back for authentic hakka noodles..seldom find elsewhere. The hakka noodles is firm, just wet with a little broth best eaten with chilli sauce.
Apr 29, 2025 · TY ThamThis is not mere delicious food, this is childhood memory. A must try stall for breakfast if you had a chance to visit Kuala Lipis. It look simple, and ordinary, you could taste traces of fresh chicken in the broth. The noodle's firmness is unique. The chilli is a complement to the taste of the noodle.
Apr 19, 2025 · Ben Yu-WeiUnfortunately, they didn't open on the day I went over. Hopefully, on the next trip, I'll be able to grab it. Authentic taste. The chili paste is one of the ingredients that will trigger and bring the noodle to another level.
May 07, 2025 · Ian AngAll About Pahang - Kuala LipisIf you ask me on what food shall not be missed when going to Kuala Lipis, I could name a few - river fish (or prawn), rendang Malek, and Chong Ko Hakka Noodle.Located in the famous Medan Tangga which has since renamed to Jalan Tan Sri Abdul Razak, this place is where the breakfast crowds congregate in the morning to savour the simple yet delectable handmade Hakka noodle that has been around since the 70s. Back then they used to operate from a mobile stall before moving to the shop. The secret to the noodle? They make fresh batch of noodle everyday. A dash of fish sauce, chicken essense (and minced chicken meat) plus their homemade chilly sauce complete the experience. The local people normally pour the chilly sauce and mix with the noodle before eating. They also make lou shu fun but need to pre-book at least a day earlier as it's sold out faster. Optional sui kow, wantan and pork balls to go with your meal.Note: They don't have fixed off days which might be a stumbling block for visitors. These days they only open for 3-4 days a week. Better to call and check. They do have another branch in Pandan Indah under the same name, operated by the elder siblings. However the style has been tuned to suit KL-ites taste bud.
Jun 05, 2023 · Boon Loong LeoNo trip to Lipis is Never complete without a stop to Chong Ko's local famous noodle restaurant that has been here for generations. A favourite of my grandparents, my mum and her siblings, and now me. You will not be disappointed.
