Homestay Haji Teluk Intan Introduce
Selamat datang, warga Perak! Are you planning a visit to the charming town of Teluk Intan and looking for a place to stay that can comfortably accommodate a larger family or group? For us locals, finding lodging that offers ample space and convenience, especially for gatherings, is often a key consideration. Today, we're discussing Homestay Haji Teluk Intan, a property that has been noted for its capacity to host bigger groups, making it a potential option for family get-togethers or events.
Homestay Haji Teluk Intan operates as a lodging option designed for those who need multiple beds and a generous living area. One customer review highlighted this aspect, stating, "Spacious with a lot of beds for our family gathering." This indicates its suitability for larger parties who prioritize sleeping capacity and communal space. However, it's also important to note that a separate review pointed out significant concerns regarding cleanliness and upkeep, with comments about "bad smell from the neighbor’s dogs," "not clean before our arrival," and "urine stains on the toilet seat," leading to a very negative experience and a recommendation against returning. While the intention of providing ample space for families is clear, prospective guests should be aware of these reported issues regarding the property's cleanliness and maintenance. Our aim here is to provide a factual overview based on available public information, so you can make an informed decision for your stay in Teluk Intan.
---Homestay Haji Teluk Intan is situated at 27, Lorong Shahbandar 15, 36000 Teluk Intan, Perak, Malaysia. This address places it within a residential area of Teluk Intan, offering a glimpse into local neighborhood living. For those of us familiar with Teluk Intan, Lorong Shahbandar is a recognizable part of the town, making the homestay relatively easy to locate.
The accessibility of Homestay Haji Teluk Intan depends largely on your mode of transport. Being in a residential lorong (lane), it is most conveniently reached by private car or ride-hailing services. Teluk Intan, while a smaller town compared to Ipoh or Kuala Lumpur, has a developed road network. Major roads connect Lorong Shahbandar to the town's main thoroughfares, allowing for reasonable access to key areas.
Within Teluk Intan, the homestay is likely a short drive from essential amenities such as local eateries, grocery stores, and petrol stations, catering to daily needs. The iconic Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan, a major tourist attraction, and other points of interest in the town center would also be accessible within a short driving distance. However, as noted in a review, noise from neighbors (e.g., dogs) might be a consideration given its residential setting. For locals driving to Teluk Intan for family gatherings or events, a location within a residential area can offer a more private and integrated experience into the local community, provided personal transport is available. While public transport options might be more limited compared to larger cities, the overall compact nature of Teluk Intan means most destinations are within reasonable reach by car.
---Based on the nature of a homestay designed for family gatherings, Homestay Haji Teluk Intan likely focuses on providing basic and essential services to accommodate larger groups. While detailed information on all services is not available, typical offerings for such a property generally include:
Multiple Beds/Sleeping Arrangements: The review mentions "a lot of beds," indicating a primary service of providing ample sleeping capacity for numerous guests, suitable for family or group stays.
Spacious Living Area: Designed to accommodate family gatherings, the property likely features a generous living room or common area where guests can socialize comfortably.
Basic Kitchen Facilities: Homestays often provide basic kitchen amenities such as a refrigerator, kettle, and possibly a stove for light cooking, though the extent of equipment can vary.
Private Bathrooms: The property would include at least one, if not multiple, private bathrooms for guest use.
Parking Space: Given its location in a residential lane, it is common for such homestays to offer on-site or street parking availability.
However, it is crucial to address the significant concerns raised in a customer review regarding cleanliness. The review explicitly stated:
Lack of Cleanliness Prior to Arrival: "was not clean before our arrival. The floor was not mopped, dusty curtains and urine stains on the toilet seat. There even lizard ‘waste’ on the sofa."
Odor Issues: "bad smell from the neighbor’s dogs."
These points suggest that guests should manage their expectations regarding the state of cleanliness upon arrival and perhaps consider inquiring directly about recent cleaning protocols before booking.
---Homestay Haji Teluk Intan has several features that might appeal to specific types of travelers, particularly those seeking accommodation for larger groups. However, it's essential to balance these with concerns raised in customer feedback.
Features / Highlights:
Spacious Accommodation: The primary highlight, as noted by a reviewer, is that the property is "Spacious with a lot of beds." This makes it highly suitable for large family gatherings, multiple families traveling together, or groups attending events, where ample sleeping arrangements are a priority.
Suitable for Family Gatherings: The design and capacity appear geared towards accommodating family events, offering communal spaces for relatives and friends to meet and interact comfortably.
Home-Like Environment: As a homestay, it offers a more private and independent living experience compared to a hotel, potentially allowing for more flexibility in terms of schedules and shared activities within the property.
Convenient for Local Teluk Intan Exploration: Located in a residential area, it provides a local experience and generally offers easy access to Teluk Intan's town center and attractions by car.
Important Considerations (based on negative review):
Cleanliness Issues: A significant concern is the report of "dirty property," "floor was not mopped, dusty curtains and urine stains on the toilet seat," and "lizard ‘waste’ on the sofa." This suggests a potential lack of proper upkeep and cleanliness standards, which is critical for guest comfort and satisfaction.
Odor from Neighbors: The mention of a "bad smell from the neighbor’s dogs" indicates potential external environmental factors affecting guest comfort, which might be outside the owner's direct control but still impacts the stay.
No Refund Policy: The reviewer's experience of vacating on the same day with "NO refund was offered" highlights a potentially rigid refund policy that guests should be aware of.
Small TV: While a minor point, the comment that "tv was so small" might be a consideration for guests who prefer larger screens for entertainment.
Prospective guests should weigh the advantage of space against the reported cleanliness and maintenance issues, and perhaps communicate directly with the owner about these concerns before booking.

It is highly advisable to contact Homestay Haji Teluk Intan directly via phone or mobile before making a booking, especially to confirm availability, pricing, and most importantly, to inquire about the current state of the property's cleanliness and maintenance. Given the feedback from a previous guest, direct communication can help manage expectations and ensure the property meets your standards upon arrival. Clear communication about arrival times and specific needs would also be beneficial for a smoother check-in process.
---For us locals in Perak, specifically those planning a visit to Teluk Intan, Homestay Haji Teluk Intan could be a suitable accommodation choice, but with important considerations. Firstly, its primary appeal lies in its spaciousness and ability to accommodate large groups or families. We often seek places where multiple family members can comfortably stay under one roof for gatherings, weddings, or holidays, and the mention of "a lot of beds for our family gathering" suggests it caters well to this specific need. This can be a cost-effective solution compared to booking multiple hotel rooms for a big group.
Secondly, its location in a residential area of Teluk Intan offers a more localized experience. For those of us who appreciate being integrated into a local neighborhood rather than a commercial district, this can be a quiet retreat (aside from potential neighbor-related noises mentioned). It provides a sense of privacy and the freedom that comes with a full house, which can be ideal for families with young children or those who prefer to cook their own meals.
However, it's absolutely crucial for locals considering this homestay to be aware of the significant concerns raised about cleanliness and upkeep in a recent review. Issues like unmopped floors, dusty curtains, and stains are serious red flags. For us, expecting a clean and hygienic environment is fundamental. Therefore, while the space is appealing, it would be essential to communicate directly with the owner beforehand to clarify their current cleaning protocols and ensure that these issues have been addressed. If the cleanliness standards are improved and confirmed, then the homestay’s capacity for large groups makes it a viable option for family-focused trips to Teluk Intan. Without this assurance, prospective guests should exercise caution and manage their expectations accordingly.

Homestay Haji Teluk Intan Reviews
We rented this place on 5th February 2023. This homestay doesn’t fit to be occupied by guess. PAID RM450.00 for this dirty property. To start with, bad smell from the neighbor’s dogs. No proper up keeping and was not clean before our arrival. The floor was not mopped, dusty curtains and urine stains on the toilet seat. There even lizard ‘waste’ on the sofa. We vacated the property on the same day and NO refund was offered.Definitely not recommending this property and we shall NOT return.

May 17, 2022 · Izwan AmirEven if I'm desperate, I won't choose this homestay, it's really bad. It's not free, it's expensive. It should be trusted to take care of repairing the homestay, if there is a problem, they do not pick up the phone until more than 20 calls are not picked up. There are too many old pieces of furniture that seem to be bought used or taken from somewhere and then repaired by yourself, but the condition is not good. You can see the picture of the house with a mesh roof. The bed in the downstairs room is broken but the cushions are made of bricks until I trip over my feet. It hurts, you know? The air-cond in the living room is only 1hp, the kind that can go into the museum, it doesn't get cold right away, we have to wash the filter ourselves, it's not expensive here, it's serviced every 3-4 months, why are you so stingy, you're not a customer who sits for free. The water pressure is low. It's good to throw away the iron, it's a pain in the ass, it doesn't heat up at all. With too much used furniture to make it look cramped and narrow, if it's nice to be a little cold. The first and last time staying here is the worst homestay ever! Another 1 if you park in front of the house, you will be sued here and pay for the parking, this is a warning for other guests, not a comment. Hope the owner changes, it's not good to do business like this. Clean the house properly, hire a cleaner, don't do it yourself because it's not clean, spray a little fragrance in the house. The air cond has to be changed, not even the service team, add more air cond in the hot living room, don't you know, this diamond bay is like an oven. Even if it's for free sitting, I don't want it
