For those of us living in Pahang, Jalan Kuantan in Jerantut is a familiar and central thoroughfare. This prime location places the hotel in a highly accessible area, making it easy to reach various points of interest within the town and its surroundings.
Being on Jalan Kuantan, one of Jerantut’s main roads, means the hotel is likely in close proximity to a range of essential amenities. Guests can expect to find local eateries, convenience stores, and possibly other small businesses within easy walking distance or a short drive. This immediate access to daily necessities and local dining options adds a significant layer of convenience for visitors, allowing them to experience the local culture and cuisine without much effort.
Jerantut itself is a key gateway town, particularly for those heading to Taman Negara National Park. While Hotel Firdaus caters to a general audience, its location in Jerantut makes it a logical stopover point for travelers journeying further into Pahang's natural attractions. The town is well-connected by federal roads, making it accessible from other major towns in Pahang like Temerloh, Kuala Lipis, and even from outside the state, such as Kuala Lumpur.
For those traveling by car, the central location on Jalan Kuantan typically means easy navigation and access to parking, though specific parking provisions for the hotel would need to be confirmed upon booking. Public transportation within Jerantut generally involves local buses or taxis/ride-hailing services. The Jerantut KTM railway station is also within a reasonable distance, offering connectivity for those preferring train travel. The hotel’s address in Kampung Sungai Jan further solidifies its position within the local community, blending into the everyday life of Jerantut. This accessibility makes Hotel Firdaus a practical base for both quick stopovers and slightly longer stays to explore the Jerantut district.

For us, the people of Pahang, and especially those familiar with Jerantut, choosing a hotel often comes down to practicality, affordability, and a convenient location. Hotel Firdaus, while having some notable points to consider, presents itself as a suitable option for certain local travel needs, particularly due to its competitive pricing and central Jerantut location.
The most appealing aspect for locals is undoubtedly its affordability. In an era where travel costs can add up quickly, Hotel Firdaus offers a very budget-friendly choice, making it accessible for quick stopovers, transit stays, or short trips where the primary focus isn't luxury accommodation. Its location on Jalan Kuantan, a main road in Jerantut, is also a significant plus. This ensures easy access to local eateries, convenience stores, and the general pulse of the town. For those driving through Jerantut or using it as a gateway to other parts of Pahang, the central location minimizes travel time and maximizes convenience for quick errands or meals.
Furthermore, the feedback about the friendly and good staff, especially the receptionists, is a positive note. Good customer service from front-line staff can significantly enhance a stay, providing a welcoming interaction despite any other issues. The availability of a Cuckoo drinking water dispenser is also a practical and appreciated amenity, offering free, clean water, which is a small but valuable comfort in our climate.
However, it is crucial for locals to manage their expectations and be aware of the consistent feedback regarding certain issues. The lack of reliable Wi-Fi, despite being advertised, and inconsistencies with in-room amenities like TV remotes, are points to note. Single rooms potentially being smelly due to lack of windows and thin walls are also important considerations for those sensitive to such factors. If these amenities are critical for your stay (e.g., if you rely on Wi-Fi for work or entertainment), it would be wise to confirm their functionality directly with the hotel prior to booking.
In conclusion, Hotel Firdaus is a practical and economical choice for locals seeking a no-frills, centrally located stay in Jerantut. It excels in affordability and convenient access to town amenities, supported by friendly front-line staff. For a quick stopover or if you are on a tight budget and understand its limitations, Hotel Firdaus can serve as a functional base for your visit to Jerantut, Pahang.

Hotel Firdaus Reviews
Another place is which is all about money. There's a big sign "wifi" at the reception but they have no wifi and they don't care. I'm a foreigner and I really needed it. I asked to speak to the manager, the receptionist called her but she didn't wanna talk with me. What kind of behavior is that? She only said to the receptionist : you know there is no wifi and that's it. You shouldn't bother me.It says cable TV everywhere but in my room there was no remote so I requested it at the receptionist, that said : Some rooms have no remote. That's it. No solution. They don't care.Single rooms are smelly since they don't have windows and there is no air circulation. The walls are thin so you can hear everything from the corridor. The worst management ever. There are problems but they don't care. And what I hate is lies. They advertise things you will never get.Boycott.The receptionists are very nice though but they are useless cuz they can take no decision..
Aug 21, 2024 · Renée MoraThe prices are really affordable and the place is cozy and peaceful but the water pressure in the toilet a little bit low but overall okay. Also got a drinking water dispenser (cuckoo)Great customer service and staff are really good and friendlyOverall really great and will repeat again next time
Apr 11, 2024 · IzhamA suitable choice for budget-wise backpacker/students trip. All basics facilities are provided ( internal toilet, kettle, water heater, TV+astro, power source, air-conditioner, external water condenser ). Near to few restaurant as well and a bus stop. There's a big TMG on the opposite side. The only limitation is for those who need a very quite place (for meditation maybe) might find the hotel is not suitable. located near the roadside, u may be distracted with the road traffic noise. ^^
