Hotel Seri Malaysia Temerloh is located at Jalan Hamzah, Kampung Lubuk Cemperai, 28000 Temerloh, Pahang, Malaysia. This address places the hotel within Temerloh, the second-largest town in Pahang after Kuantan, and a significant administrative and commercial center in the state. For locals in Pahang, Temerloh is a familiar town, easily identifiable by its strategic location near the major East-West highway (Karak Highway/LPT1) that connects Kuala Lumpur to the East Coast, and its reputation as a hub for freshwater fish, especially the famous Patin.
The hotel's position on Jalan Hamzah, within Kampung Lubuk Cemperai, indicates it's situated in a more localized area, potentially offering a quieter environment compared to being directly on a main thoroughfare, yet still providing good access to the town center. Temerloh is well-connected by road, making it easily accessible for guests traveling by car from various parts of Pahang or even from neighboring states. The presence of the Temerloh Esplanade, Terminal Bas Lurah Semantan (bus terminal), and Pekan Sehari (Sunday market) nearby, as indicated in various public listings, means the hotel is conveniently close to key local attractions and transport hubs. While specific details about walking accessibility to these points from the hotel's exact address are not given, their general proximity makes the area convenient for local exploration. For those relying on public transport, reaching Temerloh by bus is straightforward, and taxis or ride-hailing services would be available within the town to get to the hotel. The hotel also offers free self-parking for guests, which is a significant convenience for those driving. Despite some older reviews mentioning dim lighting on staircases, the general location within a known kampung (village) offers a local context that can be reassuring for Pahang residents, making the hotel a practical base for activities in and around Temerloh.

- Breakfast Service: Breakfast is included for some room types and generally receives positive comments for its variety, featuring local dishes like nasi lemak, fried noodles, and kuey teow soup, alongside toast and cereals. This is often highlighted as a good aspect of the stay.

- Free in-room WiFi.
- 24-Hour Front Desk: A 24-hour reception ensures assistance is available at any time for check-in/check-out or other inquiries, though some reviews suggest that room telephones might not always be available.
- No Deposit Required at Check-in: One review specifically highlights that "No deposit is required during check-in," which can be a convenience for guests.
- Free Self-Parking: The hotel provides free parking on-site, a practical service for guests arriving by car.
- On-site Dining (Cafe Seri Semantan): There is an on-site coffee shop/restaurant, Cafe Seri Semantan, offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
- Meeting and Conference Facilities: The hotel has meeting rooms, conference space, and a banquet hall, catering to business or event needs.
- Laundry Services: Dry cleaning/laundry services are available.
- Grocery/Convenience Store: Some listings mention an on-site grocery or convenience store for guest needs.
It is important for potential guests to note that the swimming pool has been "temporarily closed" for an extended period, and some reviews mention concerns about older furniture, a moldy smell from the AC, and overall property condition, suggesting a need for refurbishment.

Hotel Seri Malaysia Temerloh, despite some mixed recent reviews regarding its aging infrastructure, possesses several notable features and highlights that continue to make it a recognizable and, for some, a suitable option in Temerloh:
- Strategic Location in Temerloh: The hotel's position in Temerloh, near key local attractions like Pekan Sehari (Sunday Market) and the Esplanade, is a consistent highlight. This makes it convenient for guests to explore the town, enjoy local food, and engage in recreational activities along the river.
- Included Breakfast with Local Options: For many guests, the breakfast service stands out positively. Reviews frequently praise the "huge selection of breakfast" and mention specific local favorites like "nasi lemak, fried noodles, kuey teow soup," along with toast and cereals. This offers good value and a taste of local cuisine.
- Thoughtful In-Room Inclusions for Muslim Guests: The provision of a "sejadah for Muslims" and direction to the Kiblat (prayer direction) in rooms is a highly appreciated and thoughtful feature for Muslim travelers, reflecting cultural sensitivity.
- Availability of Iron and Ironing Board: The presence of an iron and ironing board in the rooms is a practical and convenient feature, especially for business travelers or those attending events who need to ensure their attire is presentable.
- Functional Air-Conditioning and TV (in some rooms): While some reviews mention issues with older AC units or TV networks, other reviews specifically highlight that "The air-conditioning and TV work well," suggesting that in some rooms, these essential amenities are fully functional and contribute to a comfortable stay.
- No Deposit Required: The absence of a deposit requirement at check-in is a minor but welcome convenience for guests, streamlining the arrival process.
- Free On-Site Parking: Ample free self-parking is available, which is a significant advantage for guests traveling by private vehicle, reducing parking hassles and costs.
However, it is crucial to acknowledge the recurring issues from recent reviews: the swimming pool is "temporarily closed" (some suggest for a long time), rooms showing signs of age (old, dusty furniture, moldy smells, general wear and tear), and concerns about the overall maintenance of the property exterior (dull staircases, unkempt bushes). These points indicate that while core services are offered, the hotel is in need of significant refurbishment to match modern expectations. Despite these drawbacks, for those prioritizing location, a included breakfast, and essential in-room amenities at a certain price point, some aspects of Hotel Seri Malaysia Temerloh might still be considered highlights.

For residents of Pahang, particularly those in or around Temerloh, Hotel Seri Malaysia Temerloh presents a complex yet potentially suitable "hotel" option, especially when considering its established presence and certain practical advantages. While recent reviews highlight a decline in overall condition and value compared to a decade ago, it still holds a place as a recognized local lodging, and its suitability hinges on specific needs and expectations. The most significant draw for locals remains its strategic location. Situated on Jalan Hamzah, it offers relatively easy access to Temerloh town's central attractions, including the famous Pekan Sehari (Sunday Market) and the Esplanade, both popular spots for locals. This convenience minimizes travel time and allows for spontaneous exploration of what Temerloh has to offer, from its celebrated Patin fish to its local markets.
Furthermore, for a certain price point, the hotel still provides essential amenities. The inclusion of breakfast, often praised for its local variety, can be a practical benefit, especially for families or individuals looking to save on morning meals. Features like the iron and ironing board, and particularly the sejadah and Kiblat direction, are thoughtful touches that resonate with the local Malaysian demographic. Free on-site parking is another undeniable advantage, making it convenient for those driving. While the concerns about aging facilities, cleanliness issues in some rooms, and the prolonged closure of the swimming pool are valid and important to acknowledge, for locals needing a straightforward, no-frills place to rest for a night or two, especially if prioritizing location and a budget-conscious approach, Hotel Seri Malaysia Temerloh might still serve its purpose. It may not offer a luxurious experience, but for those who value practicality and a familiar name in a convenient Temerloh setting, it remains an option to consider, perhaps after direct inquiry about the current state of rooms and facilities.

Hotel Seri Malaysia Temerloh Reviews
Last time I stayed at hotel sri Malaysia was 10 years ago, it was amazing with huge selection of breakfast but now it's very pathetic. For the price paid around myr 180, very not worth it.The ac smells moldyRoom furnitures old and dustyYou can get better hotels for that priceEven 2 star hotels are better and cleaner that thisPool, temporarily closedMy room was on second floor, the staircase to the room were dull looking giving it haunting building vibesThe bushes next to it seems like haven't gone maintenance for yearsSeriously, don't even think of staying here. You're welcome
Feb 03, 2025 · Suryani YusofAlthough this hotel is somewhat old, the rooms are clean and tidy. The air-conditioning and TV work well. An iron and ironing board are also provided. The breakfast is quite good too, with nasi lemak, fried noodles, kuey teow soup, toast, and cereals. It’s worth the price paid. No deposit is required during check-in. However, if there was an air freshener in the room, the experience would be even better.
Dec 29, 2024 · Norain IshakThe room is clean and spacious. The toilet is a little bit dirty and old. No elevator. The hotel is quite quiet though sometimes, there is some weird noises. The parking is provided. The food is very good. The hotel located near Esplanade, Pekan Sehari and CBS (car boot sale).
Jun 12, 2024 · mayyaDon’t go to room 122. Cracks at the bathroom lights, 3 switch work but only one dosent work, zero nice view, bedlight have a gap that can open.
Dec 25, 2024 · shaifulbahari abdullahThe room was great, there was a weird smell from the bathroom. Called for room service for dinner, no one picked up so order delivery instead. Walking distance from Pasar Sehari. Not too busy with traffic. No elevators. The place is clean. Parking is provided BUT hard to come by if they are hosting an event. The breakfast tasted great that we were disappointed that we couldn't get the room service the night before. The price is on the higher end for the quality tho.
