Kolam Air Panas Bentong is conveniently located at Kolam Air Panas, Kampung Temiang, 28700 Bentong, Pahang, Malaysia. This address places the hot spring within the rural charm of Kampung Temiang, a village setting that adds to the serene and natural ambiance of the attraction.
For residents of Bentong and surrounding districts in Pahang, reaching Kolam Air Panas Bentong is relatively straightforward. It is accessible via well-maintained local roads. If you are traveling from Bentong town center, the journey is typically short, making it an ideal destination for a quick day trip. Signage leading to the hot spring should be available as you approach the Kampung Temiang area, guiding visitors effectively.
For those traveling by private vehicle, there is generally parking available on-site or in designated areas nearby. It is always advisable to arrive early, especially on weekends or public holidays, to secure a good parking spot. The hot spring's location within a village means that public transportation options like buses might be limited or require a connecting ride from Bentong town. Taxis or ride-sharing services could be an alternative for those without private transport, offering a direct route to the destination.
Notably, the location is described as being just beside Erya Hot Springs Resort. This proximity means that visitors have options, potentially allowing them to compare experiences or choose a more developed facility if preferred, although Kolam Air Panas Bentong offers a more rustic and often more budget-friendly experience. The ease of access from major routes in Bentong solidifies its appeal as a local attraction for Pahang residents seeking natural relaxation.
Kolam Air Panas Bentong operates primarily as a natural hot spring bathing facility. While it is not a resort with extensive amenities, it provides essential services and facilities for visitors looking to enjoy its therapeutic waters. Based on public information, the services offered typically include:
Access to Natural Hot Spring Pools: The core offering is admission to the natural spring water pools, where visitors can soak in the warm, mineral-rich water. There may be multiple pools with varying temperatures or depths.
Spring Water Pool: Reviews mention a "spring water pool," indicating there might be a separate pool filled with natural spring water (possibly cooler than the hot spring) for a different kind of experience.
Basic Changing and Toilet Facilities: According to reviews, the toilet facilities are well-maintained and clean, which is a crucial "service" for a public bathing area, ensuring hygiene and comfort for visitors.
Designated Bathing Areas: The pools are set up for communal bathing, allowing individuals and families to enjoy the hot spring experience.
Ticketing/Entry Booth: As there is an entry fee, there will be a designated booth or area for purchasing admission tickets.
It's important to set expectations that this is a more rustic, public hot spring experience compared to a commercial resort. Therefore, services like towels, lockers, or spa treatments are generally not provided directly by Kolam Air Panas Bentong, though personal items can be brought by visitors.
Kolam Air Panas Bentong offers several distinct features and highlights that make it a compelling natural attraction for locals in Pahang:
Authentic Natural Hot Spring Experience: The primary highlight is the opportunity to soak in genuine, naturally heated spring water. This provides a truly authentic hot spring experience, distinct from artificially heated pools, and is believed by many to offer therapeutic benefits due to its mineral content.
Clean and Well-Maintained Facilities (Mixed Reviews): While some reviews indicate a need for more maintenance, a prominent positive review highlights that the hot spring itself and the spring water pool are "very nice," "water very clean," and the "place is well maintained." Crucially, the "toilet is very clean," which is a significant positive for a public facility, contributing to a more comfortable visit. It's important to note the mixed reviews, suggesting that maintenance levels might fluctuate, but at its best, it is appreciated.
Affordable Entry Fee: With an entry fee of RM15 per adult, Kolam Air Panas Bentong offers a relatively affordable hot spring experience compared to more commercialized resorts. This makes it an accessible option for a wide range of locals looking for a budget-friendly wellness or leisure activity.
Proximity to Erya Hot Springs Resort: Its location "just beside" the Erya Hot Springs Resort offers a unique dynamic. While Kolam Air Panas Bentong provides a more rustic public experience, visitors have the option to compare or even upgrade to a more resort-like setting (Erya) if they desire more amenities for a higher fee. This proximity offers flexibility to visitors.
Relaxing and Therapeutic Potential: The warm, mineral-rich waters are inherently relaxing and are traditionally believed to alleviate muscle aches, improve circulation, and promote overall well-being. This therapeutic aspect is a key draw for many visitors seeking natural remedies or simply deep relaxation.
Local Community Charm: Being situated in Kampung Temiang, the hot spring retains a sense of local charm and authenticity, providing a glimpse into traditional leisure activities enjoyed by the community.
While some reviews mention "green and dirty" water or a need for more shelter, the positive aspects, especially the cleanliness of toilets and the value for money, remain strong highlights for many who visit.
As Kolam Air Panas Bentong is a specific public hot spring facility with a set entry fee, it generally does not offer complex "promotions" or "special offers" in the commercial sense (e.g., seasonal discounts, buy-one-get-one-free deals). The pricing structure is typically straightforward for admission.
Standard Adult Entry Fee: The consistent pricing noted is RM15 per adult. This is the standard rate for admission to the hot spring pools.
Potential for Children/Senior/Group Rates: While not explicitly stated in the provided information, many public attractions in Malaysia offer reduced rates for children, senior citizens, or larger groups. It would be advisable for visitors to inquire at the ticketing counter about any such concessions if applicable.
Any "offers" would be implicit in its value proposition:
Affordable Natural Therapy: The core "offer" is access to a natural hot spring experience for a relatively low fee of RM15, making therapeutic relaxation accessible to many locals.
Basic Amenities at a Budget Price: Compared to private hot spring resorts (like Erya, which is noted to be more expensive), Kolam Air Panas Bentong provides a budget-friendly option for those primarily seeking the hot spring water experience without extensive additional facilities.
Visitors should expect to pay the standard admission fee upon arrival. Any unadvertised deals would be rare and likely informal. It is always best to carry exact change or inquire about payment methods at the entrance.

Kolam Air Panas Bentong Reviews
Very nice hotspring and spring water pool, water very clean and place is well maintained. Most important toilet is very clean.RM15 for per adult but worth, and it will be even better if more shelter are built.
Nov 12, 2023 · Loh RickyIt's a blessing to have a public free hot springs place. But I can't recommend much about this place as it looks not well maintained and the water looks green and dirty. For an RM15 you can get a much better pool condition inside the Erya Hot Springs Resort which is located just beside it.
Nov 22, 2023 · Mohd ZamriWater seem to be clean but the pool (wall) was dirty. Got seat next to the pool. Pool is 6ft deep. Having paid tailet next to it.I went during fasting month no waiting not much people.
Mar 19, 2025 · callie chowIt takes 40 minutes drive from Kuala Lumpur. Free car park available and free entry. The toilet also available with minimal charge for bath and toilet use. Toilet are clean. There are 2 pools with hot and warm temperature. However, maintenance is run down here as we can see a lot of algae and its smelly.Bring your own food and drinks before arrive.
Oct 16, 2023 · Hamizah JohanThis place is situated at the old trunk road to Bentong. It has 2 large pools and it's not very crowded even in the weekend. Parking is ample and there's toilet ( charges rm0.50 per entry) for shower and changing room too. Admission to the hot spring is free. If you feeling hungry after a dip can head over a warung opposite of the pool for food.
