Masha And The Bear Campsite Introduce
For us, residents of Negeri Sembilan, the call of nature is always a strong one. We love our green spaces, our rivers, and the refreshing escape that only the outdoors can provide. If you're looking to swap the urban hustle for the serene sounds of nature, then a camping experience at
Camping is more than just setting up a tent; it’s about experiencing the simplicity and tranquility of nature, waking up to the sounds of birds, and enjoying activities like river dips or leisurely hikes.
In this article, we’ll explore what makes
Pedas is accessible via well-maintained state roads, branching off from major highways like the North-South Expressway (PLUS Highway). This makes it convenient for private vehicle users, which is the most common mode of transport for campers. While public transport might be limited directly to the campsite, ride-hailing services or taxis from nearby towns like Seremban or Rembau could be an option for those without their own car, though arranging return trips would be essential.
The beauty of its location lies in its natural surroundings. Nestled in Kampung Empang Batu, the campsite offers a genuine escape from urban noise, immersing visitors in a peaceful rural environment. While remote enough to offer tranquility, it's still within a reasonable driving distance from essential services in Pedas town, ensuring that emergency supplies or basic necessities are not too far away. This balance of seclusion and accessibility is one of its key appeals for local campers seeking a true nature retreat.

---For us, the people of Negeri Sembilan,
The presence of friendly farm animals adds a charming, rustic touch that appeals particularly to those with children, providing an educational and engaging experience. While reviews highlight areas for improvement, such as communication and equipment maintenance, the core offering of a back-to-nature camping experience remains strong. For those new to camping, the availability of rental equipment can lower the barrier to entry, allowing you to try out camping before investing in your own gear.
It's important for local campers to go prepared, especially concerning personal comfort items and perhaps bringing their own essential gear if possible. Being aware of the natural environment, including insects and leeches after rain, is part of the authentic camping experience and something we, as locals, are often accustomed to when venturing into our natural landscapes. The simple facilities, like the toilets, are generally adequate, and the availability of a surau caters to the needs of the Muslim community.

Masha And The Bear Campsite Reviews
Nice people and nice environment. Surrounded with friendly Chickens ,dog, cat, monkeys, duck, goats. We are quite unlucky as we accidentally park near to the ants hive.Either bite by ants or mosquito throughout the whole raining night.Don't go to the female last room as I had spotted 4 to 5 leeches.Hope the place will improve the conditions.
May 21, 2025 · Angeline OngFirst, let’s talk about the positives. The campsite is very close to the river, and the water is clean, making it suitable for kids, but of course, adult supervision is still needed. The natural surroundings are peaceful, with a stunning mountain view. There’s also a hiking trail, and one of my friends even joined the caretaker for a short hike. While there are some trees, they are not enough to provide full shade. So, I’d recommend arriving early in the morning to set up your tent, as it gets really hot in the afternoon. There are also ducks, chickens, and cats roaming around, which adds to the natural vibe. However, watch out for monkeys, they didn’t cause any trouble during our stay, but it’s always good to be cautious. Now, let’s talk about the things that could be improved. I don’t know if I was just unlucky that day or if others have had the same experience, but the person handling WhatsApp was not friendly. We asked our questions politely, yet the responses felt annoyed & sarcastic. We were okay with waiting, but is it wrong to simply ask? A polite response would be appreciated. Also, the owner and the on-site staff were not in sync. They should have a proper booking list detailing what each customer has booked. This would make it easier for the staff to manage everything efficiently and avoid confusion.Since this was our first time camping, we didn’t have all the necessary gear yet. The only thing we were not having yet was a tent, so we decided to rent one from Masha & The Bear as they offer rental services. We selected a specific tent on their website, but when we arrived, we were given a completely different one. Was the tent on the website just for display?Unfortunately, it rained heavily that day, in the evening, and our tent got flooded. We reached out on WhatsApp for help but got no response. When we asked the on-site staff, their only reply was, “This is the life of campers. Next time, buy your own tent.” I was speechless 😒🫠We expected a more helpful response, maybe a tent replacement or at least some kind of solution. Luckily, some other staff members helped us clean the tent and lay down a mat, which we appreciated 🥹We also rented additional camping equipment, including a stove and a fan, but both were in poor condition. The stove didn’t function well, after running for a while, the flame got dangerously large. Luckily, nothing exploded. The fan was so old that we couldn’t even feel any airflow. In the end, we had to use our own equipment.Yes, we understand that buying personal camping gear is the best option, and we plan to do so in the future. However, if a campsite offers rental services, the equipment should be in good condition and worth the money. Otherwise, just offer campsite rental only, like many other places do. This whole situation made my first camping trip feel frustrating and not enjoyable at all.The facilities. Toilet was okay, so no complaints there. And for the surau are dirty, covered in fallen leaves. Even if it’s not used frequently, it should still be cleaned regularly. Not really a complaint, just a heads-up for future campers. After the rain, there were a lot of leeches. This is normal in nature, so just be prepared.Overall, my first-ever camping experience at Masha & The Bear was just okay, but also my last. Some people might have had a better experience, but for us, it was disappointing. Maybe we were just unlucky that day.
Feb 17, 2025 · Assaidah AisyahSo far, out of many campsites I've been. I think here's what makes it a winner:1. Breezy and shady: Whether you're pitching your tent or relaxing by the fire, the constant breeze keeps things comfortable, while the abundant shade from the trees provides a welcome escape from the hot sun. It's breezy night as well.2. Cleanliness reigns surpreme: From the moment you arrive, you'dl be greeted by a clean and well-maintained campsite. The grassy areas are a vibrant green and free of debris, and most importantly, the toilets were clean – a huge plus for any camping trip!3. Sparkling river: Take a refreshing dip or simply enjoy the sound of flowing water – the clean river adds another layer of serenity to the campsite. The river also derives from the nearby dam.4. Online booking: that makes it a breeze too!Overall, Masha and the Bear offers a fantastic camping experience. Whether you're a seasoned outdoorsman or a first-time camper seeking a relaxing getaway, this site has something for everyone.
