While some reviews mention it can be a "bit stuffy," the focus remains on the food and its authentic flavors.
- Economy Mixed Rice (Chap Fan): A highly popular offering, especially during lunchtime, is their economy mixed rice. Customers can choose from a variety of daily-prepared dishes to create a personalized meal. This is a fantastic option for those looking for a quick, affordable, and balanced meal. Reviews highlight its incredible value, with combinations like "1 meat 1 vege 1 tofu only for RM9.50!"
- Wok-Fried Rice and Noodle Dishes (Tai Chow style): Beyond the economy rice, Mengs Kee Kitchen specializes in traditional-style, small wok rice or noodle dishes. These are cooked to order, offering that distinct "wok hei" (breath of the wok) flavor that is highly sought after in Chinese cuisine. This option becomes available after the economy rice dishes are typically sold out.
- Lunch and Afternoon Service: The restaurant operates with specific meal timings. Economy mixed rice is typically available from "11 am +" and generally "about 2 pm, all the dishes would be gone." From this time until approximately 6 pm, the focus shifts to their wok-fried rice and noodle dishes.

This makes the discovery of the place feel more rewarding and contributes to its local, word-of-mouth appeal, setting it apart from more overtly visible establishments.
- Variety in Meal Options: The restaurant offers a smart progression of meal options throughout the day. Starting with a popular economy mixed rice selection for lunch, and then transitioning to made-to-order wok-fried dishes in the afternoon, ensures that different preferences and dining needs are met at various times.
- Comforting and Hearty Portions: Customers appreciate the generous portions served at Mengs Kee Kitchen. The focus is on providing substantial, fulfilling meals that are both delicious and good value, leaving diners fully satisfied.

Mengs Kee Kitchen Reviews
Cheap eats around pavilion bukit Bintang, Fahrenheit 88, highly recommend this economy rice place hidden on 1st floor of Fahrenheit 88. 1 meat 1 vege 1 tofu only for RM9.50!
Apr 13, 2025 · Eevonn NgIf you're tired of mall foods and yearning for some traditional-style, small wok rice or noodle dishes, this is one restaurant to look out for. But before you read further, be forewarned, this place is a bit stuffy; and its location is a bit off the way (Ferenheight mall 1st floor; go in through the small door next to the Emrusa shop, and then turn right). If you're ok with this, go try them out. They serve economy mixed rice from 11am + and about 2, all the dishes would be gone. From about this time until 6, you can go for the rice/noodle wok dishes.
Dec 13, 2019 · City Yogi (Ken Tze)The place is pretty hidden, but it's worth seeking out. The mixed rice is sold from around 12 to 1, after which it will usually be all finished. After 1pm, you can order their Chinese style dishes. Their 爆烧肉 and kam heong fried rice is amazing, as are many of their other dishes. To get here, just go into the small exit right next to MR DIY on the 1st Floor, then enter another small door on your left.
Oct 15, 2020 · Oliver LiewMust try the tofu sambal and salted egg squid! Hainanese rice also so fragrant and tasty!
