You'll find it conveniently situated at Lot 1.31.00, Level 1, Pavilion, Bukit Bintang, 55100 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This prime spot places it right in the bustling heart of Bukit Bintang, making it incredibly accessible for a wide array of patrons, including office workers from nearby corporate buildings, avid shoppers, and tourists exploring the city's vibrant Golden Triangle.
The restaurant's location on Level 1 of Pavilion KL means it's easily reachable once you enter the mall. Pavilion KL itself is a landmark in Kuala Lumpur and is exceptionally well-connected by public transportation. For those relying on public transit, the Bukit Bintang MRT and Monorail stations offer direct, seamless access to the mall. This connectivity ensures that locals from various parts of Kuala Lumpur can reach Oriental Kopi with ease, avoiding the stress of traffic and parking in the city centre. This is particularly advantageous during peak hours when the Bukit Bintang area is at its busiest.
For individuals who prefer to drive, Pavilion KL provides extensive underground parking facilities. While parking can be a bit costly during peak periods, the sheer convenience of having a designated parking area directly within the mall makes it a viable option for many. The ease of access, whether via public transport or private vehicle, significantly contributes to Oriental Kopi's popularity, making it a highly convenient spot for spontaneous meals, business lunches, or leisurely gatherings with friends and family right in the heart of our vibrant city.
Oriental Kopi, operating as a popular Asian restaurant, offers a range of services designed to provide a comfortable and efficient dining experience for its large volume of customers:
- Dine-in Service: The primary service, allowing customers to enjoy their meals and beverages within the restaurant's vibrant and often bustling ambiance. Despite the crowds, the efficient staff ensure a relatively smooth dining flow.
- Takeaway Options: For those on the go or who prefer to enjoy their food elsewhere, takeaway services are available for most menu items, including their popular egg tarts and beverages.
- Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner Menus: Oriental Kopi caters to different meal times, offering a comprehensive menu that includes breakfast staples, hearty lunch options, and comforting dinner choices, making it suitable for any time of day.
- Signature Beverages: A key part of their offering is their selection of kopi (coffee) and other traditional Malaysian beverages, prepared in an authentic style that resonates with local tastes.
- Quick Seating Management: As noted by customers, even with long queues, the staff are efficient in managing seating and orders, often providing menus and order sheets in advance to minimise waiting times.
- Comfort Food Selection: The service is focused on delivering a range of beloved Malaysian comfort foods, from Nasi Lemak to Curry Pan, ensuring a familiar and satisfying experience.
Oriental Kopi boasts several compelling features and highlights that contribute to its immense popularity among both locals and tourists:
- High Popularity and Consistent Crowds: The restaurant is almost always packed, a clear indicator of its widespread appeal. Even during off-peak hours like 2 PM on a weekday, queues are common, demonstrating its consistent demand. This popularity often serves as a quality signal for new visitors.
- Efficient and Thoughtful Staff: Despite the high volume of customers, reviews highlight the staff's efficiency in managing queues and orders. Handing out menus and order sheets while customers wait significantly streamlines the ordering process and enhances the overall customer experience, which is a major plus in busy environments.
- Must-Try Signature Dishes:
- Egg Tarts (Especially Ube Egg Tart): Their egg tarts are consistently praised as a must-try. The Ube egg tart, in particular, stands out for its unique flavor and deliciousness, offering a delightful twist on a classic pastry.
- Nasi Lemak: While opinions on the rice flavor may vary, the Nasi Lemak is frequently recommended, with its flavorful chicken often receiving high marks, making it a go-to for a classic Malaysian meal.
- Curry Pan: Surprisingly, the Curry Pan has garnered positive attention for its deliciousness, suggesting it's another hidden gem on their menu worth exploring.
- Authentic Malaysian Coffee: As the name suggests, "Kopi" is central to their identity. They are known for serving traditional Malaysian coffee, which is a significant draw for locals looking for an authentic cup.
- Strategic and Accessible Location: Situated on Level 1 of Pavilion KL, it benefits from high foot traffic and excellent connectivity via public transport (MRT and Monorail), making it an easy and convenient dining spot for anyone in Kuala Lumpur.
- Vibrant Atmosphere: The constant buzz of activity and the mix of local and international patrons create a lively and dynamic dining atmosphere, perfect for experiencing the pulse of Kuala Lumpur.
Given its high popularity and consistent queues, Oriental Kopi, like many successful and busy eateries, may not frequently offer deeply discounted "promotions" in the traditional sense, as demand often outweighs the need for heavy incentivisation. However, they might engage in more subtle forms of special offers or value-added experiences:
- Set Meals for Value: During specific meal times (e.g., lunch sets), they might offer bundled deals where a main dish, a side, and a drink are offered at a slightly more attractive price than ordering items individually. This provides perceived value without a direct percentage discount.
- Limited-Time Seasonal Specials: To keep the menu fresh and exciting, Oriental Kopi might introduce seasonal dishes or beverages for a limited period. While not necessarily a "discount," these unique offerings can be a special treat for regulars.
- Loyalty Programs (Mall-wide or App-based): While not specific to Oriental Kopi, customers dining there as part of their Pavilion KL visit might benefit from mall-wide loyalty programs or credit card promotions offered by banks in partnership with the mall. It's always worth checking for such broad promotions.
- New Item Introductions: When introducing new items like a unique egg tart flavor or a different coffee blend, they might offer an introductory price for a short duration to encourage trials.
- Combo Deals on Signature Items: For instance, a special price if you purchase a Nasi Lemak and an egg tart together, encouraging customers to try their most popular items.
Customers are advised to look for any signs or posters at the restaurant counter or check Pavilion KL's official website or social media channels for any ongoing mall-wide F&B promotions that Oriental Kopi might be participating in. Given its status as a tourist attraction, any promotions would likely be designed to enhance the overall customer experience rather than just slashing prices.

Oriental Kopi Reviews
Definitely a tourist attractionI came at 2 PM on a weekday and there was still a line for seating—shows how popular this place is. Thankfully, the wait was only around 10 minutes. The staff were efficient and thoughtful; they handed us the menu and order sheet while waiting, so we could place our order in advance. Kudos to them! The food was absolutely worth the wait. I left feeling so full and satisfied. Their egg tart and nasi lemak are definitely must-tries. No wonder the place is always packed with both locals and tourists. Highly recommended!
Jun 12, 2025 · Alifia MirazaThe one I really liked was the Ube egg tart. It was so delicious. Nasi Lemak was just ok since the rice was not too flavourful luckily the chicken was flavourful. Surprisingly, the Curry Pan was so good. The coffee mocha was ok. The price is a bit pricey. The waiters were not friendly. So overall everything was just ok.
May 01, 2025 · LannyA modern twist on traditional kopitiam favoritesOriental Kopi is a great spot if you’re craving local Malaysian flavors in a clean, comfortable, and nicely designed setting. The highlight for me? The Oriental Egg Tart – hands down the best I’ve tried. Buttery, flaky crust with a silky egg custard that’s perfectly sweet – it’s a must-try.Pros:Authentic taste with a premium feelThe egg tart is exceptional – fresh, warm, and addictive 🤩Clean and comfortable ambianceEfficient service even during peak hoursCons:Slightly pricier than traditional kopitiamsGets crowded, especially on weekendsSome dishes can be a hit or missIf you’re near one, don’t miss the Oriental Egg Tart – worth the trip on its own!
May 15, 2025 · Raphael MasaWe skipped the long queue by coming to the Pavilion right on the dot (ie.10am once the mall opened). We had breakfast somewhere else, so we specifically went for their egg tart, polo bun and coffee.Loved their polo bun with refreshing double butter. Slightly sweet bun, warm and crunchy on the outside with butter melted in your mouth was to die for. The egg tart was also nice. It was a big serve for an egg tart. They have another menus, but we were too full to try that morning. But, we did stop by at their outlet at KLIA2 departure terminal (review to follow)
Jun 04, 2025 · Barlianny SWe came at around 11am the seats were packed. There are two seating areas. We really loved the penang char kuey teow and egg tart. The egg tart was the star of the show it came in 2 pieces, the pastry was flaky, the custard was super rich. The kuey teow was savory and sweet with a great balance. The service was fast and the food came out fast and none of the order was wrong. They also sell instant noodles and drip coffee.
