The Courtyard Reviews
Mostly a good experience with a wide selection of food mostly of local fare and some Arabic desserts and some dishes. The only complaint I have is that the roasted lamb is kinda dry and tough, and no suitable source to be found.
Mar 22, 2025 · Edwin TYesterday I went to The Courtyard with 2 friends to look at the place to find out how suitable it would be for our classmates n schoolmates’ reunion buffet lunch in July. This is my 1st experience of the whole place. It has pretty good ambience n it feels very warm n comfortable. We approached one of the staff there n told him about what we wanted to know. Most of our friends are coming back from UK n Melbourne n Sydney n some are from Taiping with a few from KL n the Klang Valley. So the staff was very friendly n he gave us a guided tour of the different sections of the buffet lunch. Many tables were already occupied by the diners there. There was a long table with a full spread of various types of dainty n colorful desserts such as our local kueh n all types of western cookies , fruit tarts n western cakes n chocolates. At the corner was the beverage section which offers fruit juices , coffee n tea as well. Then moving ahead was the food section. Such a vast spread of mouth watering dishes such as curries n rendang with different types of meat - chicken, beef n lamb. There was also a vegetarian section for vegans as well. There were fresh oysters n sea food too. Chicken, lamb n beef satay were available together with the delicious peanut sauce. Ice Kachang was also available. This is really for all gourmet eaters. What a great feast ! For all seniors , it’s only RM 64! Worth every cent spent. On top of that, there is a private room for 10 people. For all other guests, there is plenty of room within this dining area. In fact if you like the outdoors, you can enjoy your buffet lunch out in the open where tables n chairs are all neatly arranged in the courtyard with a beautiful view as well. In fact this whole place is named after this special courtyard. But for us seniors we would prefer to have our buffet lunch inside the air- conditioned dining area. We really like this place. Will book it for our reunion lunch in July. Now they are promoting their Ramadan buffet dinner cos the Muslims will start fasting soon.
Feb 28, 2025 · Bee Leng LeongFood quality was mixed.Good: the use of oxtail in many dishes like soup and stews. Delicious but oxtail is not for everyone as it has a fattier texture. The ice cream and dessert bar was better than many hotel buffets. Really good toppings as well. My favourite of the buffet.Satay was nicely grilled and tasty. Can’t go wrong with this. Now for the bad.Bad: the Japanese section was by far the worst Japanese section of all hotel buffets I’ve had. Getting it is tight and you may need to bend down. Terrible.Limited selection of protein. No roast beef or lamb. They had a salmon Wellington instead but didn’t taste good. Disappointed here. The bbq grill section was not bad especially the prawns but the selection of protein bbq is very few and low quality especially chicken sausage.Overall if you’re getting a deal from eatigo, still worth a visit. But if paying full price, there are many other hotels with a more balanced quality throughout their buffet.
Feb 13, 2025 · Chris CZKWe had the seafood buffet on Saturday night. First impression of the restaurant- seems hard to find since the shape of the entire floor was like a roundabout after exiting the lift but once you find it, it opens up to few separate rooms. Atmosphere was relaxing especially if you sit outside with great view and there is a huge fan outside to provide some breeze, an outstanding idea!As appetizers, we were given half a lobster each, it was a nice surprise since it was not mentioned anywhere.Food wise, it was purely seafood, can't find any mutton or chicken except for one beef dish. Overall the food was good, service was better. Service staff were fast and prompt. They had some grilling station outside where you can scoop up your own prawns from the tank. About 2 types of fish, flower crabs and squid were provided for grilling while there is another station inside where they work fried it for you. Inside station had eels for frying, if you like "Wong Seen"There is an oyster and sashimi station inside also and I like the soya sauce that came with the sashimi. In a nutshell, food, including the dessert was good except the grilling station. All grilled items taken by myself and my family members separately were basically burnt and bitter. Seems like grill master could not control the fire or did not have enough time to grill properly. If you like attending buffet, I would suggest come here at least once to experience the atmosphere, the view and not the least the oyster and caviars. Spend the evening here and have a great night.Oh, one thing, if you plan to take up their parking offer for f&b patrons, DON'T USE TNG, TAKE THE PARKING CARD!!!!
