Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur Reviews
I stayed at Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur with my family for three nights in December 2024. The hotel was very welcoming. The staff were friendly, and the food was very tasty. We had a good time. However, the rooms need some fixing and updating. The furniture and other things in the room were a bit old. It would be better if the rooms were renovated. Other than that it's a very good hotel in the main city.
Jun 17, 2025 · Mohamed SohailStayed here for business trip for night. Rooms are spacious, neat and clean with amenities of bath room and to make tea as well.In breakfast plenty of dishes were available including bakery item, fruits, continental food, tea, coffee and juices. I also has live kitchen to get omelettes and half fries of your own desire.Meeting hall for group was also awesome as well as concert without any echo and resonance.
Jun 15, 2025 · Zahid MahmoodA hotel is designed in a traditional style which contrasts with the modern architecture all around. Good location, spacious swimming pool and room. You can feel that the hotel is old so a lot of things are not working in the room, for example sockets or lamps. Also it is a little bit noisy because there is some construction nearby. The breakfasts are average, I consider it to be very rare in general when the buffet breakfast is tasty. The staff is polite and helpful, I was provided some space for a meeting when needed.
Mar 11, 2025 · Tina TimThis was my second time staying at this hotel, and unfortunately, the experience was far worse than before. Upon entering the room, I immediately noticed several problems:- **Faulty door lock** – The door couldn’t lock properly, raising safety concerns.- **Dirty and moldy bedsheets** – The bedding had visible stains and even mildew.- **Broken toilet flush** – The flush was extremely hard to press.- **Unstable shower temperature** – The shower tap couldn’t maintain a fixed temperature, as it kept sliding on its own.I reported these issues to customer service and requested clean bedsheets and repairs. However, after waiting **over 15 minutes** with no response, I had to call again. Another **5-6 minutes** passed before a maintenance staff arrived, only to briefly inspect the room and suggest a room change instead of fixing anything. The hotel itself is **badly worn out** and clearly lacks proper maintenance. Even after changing the bedsheets, the new ones still had **stains and discoloration** on the pillows and duvet covers.Additionally, the **parking system** was inconvenient—guests must use a **Touch 'n Go card to enter**, but upon exiting, they have to go to the front desk for payment and scanning before leaving.Given the **poor condition, lack of cleanliness, and inefficient service**, I would **not recommend** this hotel if you have better options.
Jun 02, 2025 · C K TeoRooms have balcony but are in disrepair, things do not work..taps and sockets faulty..door handle comes off in your hand...furniture is worn...the staff are very good and do their best especially tofayal in the restaurant...this hotel has so much potential but needs a serious room upgrade. And there is a huge development feet from the hotel and noise is constant.room requests made months in advance e are not honoured....we have come here for 10 years and it's a shame we wont return, the hotel main revenue seems to be the stream of tour groups from India and china and not leisure travellers
