Genting Highlands itself is highly accessible from various parts of Malaysia. From Kuala Lumpur, it’s approximately a 1 to 1.5-hour drive via the Kuala Lumpur-Genting Expressway (E8). However, the journey through the vibrant First World Plaza adds to the overall experience of exploring the resort. Despite the navigation challenge, the central location within such a major entertainment hub means Snow World is incredibly well-connected and a feasible day trip or stop for anyone visiting Genting Highlands from Pahang or other states.

For the people of Pahang, and indeed for all Malaysians, Snow World at Genting Highlands offers a remarkably suitable and unique entertainment experience that stands out from typical amusement centers. Its appeal for locals is multi-faceted, blending novelty with convenience and providing a memorable escape from the everyday tropical climate.
Firstly, the most compelling reason is the opportunity to "experience sub zero temperature at Malaysia." For locals who may not have the chance to travel to countries with natural snow, Snow World provides an accessible and authentic taste of winter, complete with "life-like snowfalls" and real snow to play with. This novelty factor is immense, offering a truly unique sensory experience that creates lasting memories, especially for children who are often seeing snow for the first time. The provided winter clothing (jackets, boots, gloves) further enhances this suitability, as locals do not need to invest in expensive winter gear to enjoy the attraction, making it a practical and inclusive option.
Secondly, Snow World is an excellent family-friendly destination. Reviewers consistently highlight it as a "must visit if you are going to Genting with your kids," emphasizing the "great experience" for young ones. The playful activities like the Cresta Run Toboggan Slide, coupled with the enchanting European-themed village setting, provide ample opportunities for engaging family fun and capturing beautiful "pictures." This aligns perfectly with the Malaysian culture of valuing family outings and creating shared experiences.
Finally, its location within Resorts World Genting, while requiring some navigation, places it within a comprehensive entertainment hub. Locals visiting Genting Highlands for its casinos, other theme parks, shopping, or dining can easily incorporate a visit to Snow World into their itinerary. It offers a distinct and refreshing contrast to the other attractions, rounding out a full day of diverse experiences. Despite the ticket price being noted as "very expensive" by some, the consensus is that it's "worth it if you haven't experienced snow before," positioning it as a valued, once-in-a-while treat rather than an everyday outing. Snow World, therefore, is not just an amusement center; it's a gateway to a rare, magical winter adventure right here in Pahang, making it an ideal choice for locals seeking something truly different and memorable.

Snow World Reviews
A must visit if you are going to Genting with your kids. It gives a great experience with snow and the views are definitely attractive and can take plenty of pictures. When you go to Genting, quickly go and book a time slot and buy tickets, else it will be crowded. They provide your with all the winter materials so there is nothing to worry. They heat them and probably clean them before lending it to another person. There are photographers who will take pictures of you and you will have to pay and get them Framed at the counter. When you get to Genting, it's very hard to find the snow world. There are no signs at all for you to find it, and the signs appear only when you are close by. You will definitely have to ask around and find the place. And it is very far from the cable car entrance, so make sure you leave sufficient time for that as well. We actually ahd to run back and get the cable car because our time schedule was very tight.About snow world : the ticket is very expensive but its worth if you haven't experienced snow before. They give you 30 mins inside the room and ask you to leave. They provide lockers to leave your items there. It is big enough to fill a normal backpack. (the locker is free). They provide all the winter clothes: boots jackets gloves etc.
Nov 29, 2018 · Keet Malin SugathadasaA place to experience sub zero temperature at Malaysia. It's cold here abt -7°C so please wear appropriate outfit before entering although sweater been given. Thick socks and extra hood may help you stay longer there.
Jun 16, 2019 · richard wifiA snow park located in genting highland, good place to visit for people who didn't visit any of this kind. But for me I have visited 3 of them in India. One in hyderabad, Bangalore and Goa. So I didn't find much of a difference and more over liked them better than this one.
Aug 01, 2019 · HARSHA VARDHAN PADUCHURIIt was -7 degree when I entered with my cousins, age 10 and 12 respectively. They have never been to countries with winter season, so it has been a great experience for them. They enjoyed the mini sleigh. This will need an adult to help to pull it for the kids. They do have the huge slide which require us to sit on the blue tyre. I slide down pretty fast, making several turns.Great for photo taking if you can withstand the ultimate coldness. We couldn't last for the full hour session. Left after 30minutes as it was too cold.
Aug 20, 2018 · Nick KoleWorth going if you’re in Genting but be prepared to lose a lot of $$$. Entry is RM40 per adult (Malaysian). For RM40 you get a 30 min entry time to the Snow World and there’ll be two photographers to take pictures for you (that you can buy later). To be fair, we did enjoy our time there as it really was a different world. Don’t underestimate the cold, it’s really cold. -5 degrees Celsius during our visit. I brought my own jacket and gloves, however they still needed me to wear their boots. If you are wearing sports shoes they’ll let you in. However, all the items can be rented. It was a fun short time in the snow area, I also rode the slide once. It was pretty thrilling! Wish they gave us more time... The pictures taken by the photographers turned out really well. If you want a digital copy, it’s gonna cost you... RM150. If you want some printed options they start at RM50 (per picture) and up to RM200+++ (depending on what configuration you want i.e in a book, in a leather frame, etc). In conclusion, worth going once!
