The Dusun Reviews
A family-built and -owned natural paradise 1.5 hrs from KL - a perfect weekend getaway for nature lovers. The rooms open to nature, letting in beautiful vistas of the mostly virgin forest and fresh air. The pool by the reception is stunning (didn't use the other pool). We brought our food to grill, and will also order a few meals from Dusun's raved caterer on the next trip. Can't wait to return.
Apr 21, 2025 · Shardul PhadnisBeautiful place of you like nature! I stayed in Lanai house and the view is great. Would be a very peaceful place if there was not a constant construction noise in the background. While it is not in the Dusun's control, a heads up would have been welcomed. The room is decently clean and the bathroom was visibly recently re-done and super nice. The outside living room is great and would be a truly peaceful place without the construction site close by. For a woman traveling alone, I did not feel very safe at night with a room not locking properly and the glass doors easy to open from outside. Lanai house is pretty isolated which is lovely, but wouldn't recommend for a woman alone especially as staff leave the premises at night and there is no cctv or any safety measure beyond the glass doors. Overall I would love to come back when the construction work is over!
May 27, 2025 · Mathilde RiederYou need to reorientate yourself for Dusun. This is an eco resort along the lines of a Air B&B.You're shown your rooms when you check in, the rest is up to you.The rooms are fit for purpose. There're no TVs.Internet is patchy. The owners and some security is onsite but by and large after about 6 or 7 pm you're on your own.Once you understand this all is good. The resort is in the Mantin Hills area about 800ft above sea level.Mornings and evenings are cool.Afternoons are warm. Only fans in the room, no air-conditioning.The place is beautiful, surrounded by forests, you can hear the falls, bird call, and other animals through the day. There are 2 seimming pools, cold fresh water to cool off when you want and lot's of walks around the resort. You can cook in each villa. If you want cooked food, there's the wonderful Aidah who'll whip some delicious meals for you, breakfast and dinner were what we had.Best of all there are vegetarian variants for most offerings. Aidah comes up from her home to cook. So your meal is fresh off a stove. You have to pre order though. Finally they're canine friendly so we could take our Arya along. Why did I give an overall 4?Our heater didn't work, they tried to repair it but could not. No big deal for us.Would I come again? For sure. Two parting shots, you need lots of mosquito repellent, remember you are in the forest. You need good walking shoes too,
Mar 16, 2025 · Ganesh RamachandranIt was a wonderful experience to stay amidst the lushness of the beautiful forest. My stay in Lanai house was amazing cause we had great view along with refreshing sound of river, and the clean and cozy atmosphere was great, n most importantly it is pet friendly. Clean and home-like houses were good. We asked for extra food for the bbq and they provided, they even prepared birthday cake for breakfast as it was husband’s birthday. Have already planed for the next trip there.
Jan 31, 2025 · Puvana DeviStayed at the Berembun house for 3 nights, enjoyed it very much, especially the salt water pool! Felt very private as we were there on weekdays and there were no other guests. Cooking facilities were sufficient, with an adequate fridge and freezer. Mosquito repellant was provided and proved useful. Tranquil surroundings, fresh air, birds chirping and wind rustling through the leaves... marred unfortunately by the drone of construction machinery from down the road which started around 8.30am and ended well past sunset. Not much the resort can do about that I suppose.
