Xpeed Holiday Hotel Introduce
When searching for accommodation in the bustling heart of Kuala Lumpur, particularly in the vibrant and well-connected area of Pudu, many factors come into play for local residents. Whether you're planning a quick staycation, a business trip within the city, or need a convenient base for exploring KL's countless attractions, finding a hotel that offers practicality and a good location is often key. Xpeed Holiday Hotel, situated on Jalan Pudu, aims to be such a choice for visitors to Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur.
Positioned in a dynamic part of the city, Xpeed Holiday Hotel is designed for guests who prioritize accessibility to Kuala Lumpur's extensive public transport network, popular shopping districts, and a diverse range of culinary experiences. As a hotel, it focuses on providing essential lodging services for travelers. For locals in Kuala Lumpur, understanding the fundamental aspects of Xpeed Holiday Hotel can help in making an informed decision about a convenient place to stay within their own city, especially when proximity to transport hubs and city amenities is a priority.
This article will delve into the details of Xpeed Holiday Hotel, outlining its strategic location and accessibility, discussing the general services it offers, highlighting its key features based on available public information, and providing contact details. We will conclude by exploring why this hotel might be a suitable option for residents of Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, offering a practical and accessible choice for their various needs in the capital.
The location of Xpeed Holiday Hotel is a significant advantage for guests looking to explore Kuala Lumpur. Situated at 179, Jln Pudu, Pudu, 55100 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the hotel benefits from being in a central and highly connected district of the city. Pudu is a vibrant area known for its rich local culture, diverse food scene, and excellent transportation links, making it an ideal base for city exploration.
Jalan Pudu is a major arterial road in Kuala Lumpur, ensuring that the hotel is easily accessible by both private and public transportation. For those driving, the location provides straightforward access from major highways that connect to and within the city. While specific parking information is not detailed, being on a main road in a city environment often means that street parking options or nearby commercial parking lots may be available for guests.
A key highlight of this location is its superb access to Kuala Lumpur's comprehensive public transport network. Guests staying at Xpeed Holiday Hotel are typically within comfortable walking distance or a very short ride to various LRT (Light Rail Transit) and MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) stations. Pudu LRT station and Hang Tuah LRT/Monorail station are usually in close proximity, providing seamless connectivity to popular destinations across the city. This includes major shopping centers like Pavilion Kuala Lumpur and Suria KLCC, cultural hotspots such as Petaling Street (Chinatown), and key business districts. This ease of public transport access significantly enhances the convenience for guests, allowing them to navigate the city efficiently without the hassles of traffic or expensive taxi fares.
Beyond transportation, the immediate surroundings of Xpeed Holiday Hotel in Pudu are rich with local amenities. Guests can easily discover a vast array of local eateries, bustling hawker stalls, and traditional markets offering authentic Malaysian cuisine and fresh local produce. Convenience stores, pharmacies, and banks are also readily available, ensuring that guests have all their essential needs met within a short distance. The vibrant and authentic atmosphere of Pudu itself provides a dynamic backdrop, allowing visitors to truly experience the local pulse of Kuala Lumpur.
As a hotel, Xpeed Holiday Hotel would provide fundamental services aimed at offering guests a place to stay. While specific details are limited, and one review highlighted significant issues, standard hotel operations generally include the following services:
- Accommodation: Providing guest rooms for short-term stays.
- Reception Services: A front desk for check-in/check-out, key handling, and basic guest inquiries.
- Housekeeping: Cleaning and maintenance of rooms, typically on a daily basis for cleanliness.
- Air Conditioning: Rooms would be equipped with air conditioning, which is essential for comfort in Kuala Lumpur's tropical climate.
- En-suite Bathrooms: Private bathrooms with basic facilities (toilet, shower, possibly sink) in each room.
- Basic Room Amenities: This typically includes a bed, basic furniture, and potentially a television.
- Towels: Provision of towels for guests. One review indicates a policy of providing a maximum of two towels per room, though this seemed inconsistent.
- Security: Basic security measures like key card access and possibly CCTV surveillance.
It is important to note that a significant portion of customer feedback indicates issues with staff quality, room cleanliness (e.g., dirty sheets, foot marks on pillows), broken appliances (e.g., non-functional fridge), and pest control (cockroaches, gecko). These suggest potential inconsistencies in the delivery of these fundamental services. The presence of insect repellent being sprayed in the room by staff also points to reactive measures for pest issues rather than preventative ones. Furthermore, inconsistent policies on amenities like towels suggest a need for improved staff training and clear communication.
Based on the provided customer reviews, Xpeed Holiday Hotel appears to have a mix of potential features and significant drawbacks. While some positive aspects are mentioned, the critical feedback points to areas where the hotel might not consistently deliver. It's important to present both perspectives fairly to give a comprehensive picture for locals in Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur.
Potential Highlights (as suggested by one review):
- Spacious Rooms: One review mentions that "The room was spacious," which can be a significant advantage in city hotels where rooms are often compact.
- Clean Rooms (Inconsistent): One review stated the room was "clean," though this contradicts other feedback about dirty sheets and foot marks. This suggests cleanliness might be variable.
- Top-Notch Amenities (Inconsistent): One reviewer felt "the amenities provided were top-notch," which is a positive, but this is contradicted by feedback about a broken fridge and non-functional curtains.
- Convenient Room Service (Inconsistent): The ability to "order room service and have it delivered in a timely manner" was noted positively by one guest, suggesting convenience for in-room dining.
- Welcoming and Understanding Staff (Inconsistent): One review praised the staff for being "incredibly welcoming and understanding" and noted a "great stay" due to their service. This positive interaction highlights potential for good customer service.
- Good Service from Front Desk to Housekeeping (Inconsistent): One review specifically commended the "level of service from the front desk to the housekeeping staff," indicating strong individual performance.
Key Issues and Concerns (as highlighted by another review):
- Booking Discrepancies/Pricing Confusion: A major concern raised was a "scam on booking" with "over priced and incorrectly categorized" advertising, along with confusion regarding pricing for multiple guests/rooms. This suggests potential issues with transparency in pricing and booking platforms.
- Poor Staff Quality/Inconsistency: Directly stated as "Poor staff quality," with examples of inconsistent towel policy and a lack of immediate resolution for room issues, suggesting varying levels of service.
- Pest Infestation: A significant and disturbing highlight is the "Bug infestation (cockroach and gecko)," with a detailed account of a live cockroach and a gecko in the room, impacting guest comfort and hygiene.
- Broken Appliances: A "Broken fridge" that was "not properly cooled" and had "water everywhere inside" is a major functional drawback.
- Dirty Linens: "Dirty sheets" and "foot mark on the pillow case" directly contradict expectations of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Non-Functional Curtains: "The curtain didn't do its job at all, the size does not match the window size nor does it cover any sunlight from getting in," leading to privacy and light control issues.
- Safety/Pest Prevention Concerns: The lack of a "net on the window to prevent bugs or other animals from getting in" on the fifth floor is a significant safety and comfort concern.
Given the conflicting nature of these reviews, potential guests, especially locals from KL, should exercise caution and verify the current state of the hotel and its services before booking. While some aspects might be positive, the reported issues are substantial and could significantly impact the stay experience.
For those considering Xpeed Holiday Hotel for their stay in Kuala Lumpur, it is highly recommended to contact the hotel directly for the most up-to-date information, to verify specific amenities, or to address any concerns before making a booking. This direct communication can help clarify details regarding room features, current pricing, and any ongoing improvements or changes to services.

Using the provided phone numbers to speak directly with the hotel staff will allow you to ask specific questions, such as the current condition of rooms, pest control measures, availability of fully functional appliances, and clarity on booking policies and pricing for multiple guests. Given the conflicting reviews, a direct conversation is crucial for setting realistic expectations and ensuring a comfortable stay. It will also allow you to assess the responsiveness and quality of the staff directly.
For residents of Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, choosing a hotel like Xpeed Holiday Hotel presents a mixed bag, yet it could be considered suitable for certain very specific local needs, primarily due to its location. However, it's crucial for locals to be aware of the significant issues highlighted in customer reviews.
The primary suitability for locals lies in its strategic location on Jalan Pudu. For KL residents seeking a highly accessible and central base for a quick staycation, a short business trip within the city, or when hosting visitors who want to experience the vibrant pulse of Pudu, this location is advantageous. Its proximity to major public transport hubs (LRT/Monorail) means locals can easily navigate the city, avoiding traffic and parking hassles, and access key areas like Bukit Bintang, KLCC, and Chinatown effortlessly. For those who prioritize location above all else and need a functional place to rest, the hotel's position is its strongest selling point.
However, locals considering Xpeed Holiday Hotel must carefully weigh the reported issues against this locational benefit. The consistent negative feedback regarding "poor staff quality," "bug infestation," "broken fridge," "dirty sheets," and "non-functional curtains" indicates a significant lack of basic comfort, hygiene, and service consistency. For a staycation or even a short business trip, these problems can severely impact the quality of the experience, potentially turning a supposed convenience into a frustrating ordeal. The "scam on booking" and pricing confusion also suggest potential transparency issues that could be particularly frustrating for discerning local consumers.
Given these concerns, Xpeed Holiday Hotel might only be suitable for locals who are on an extremely tight budget, require a central Pudu location for very specific short-term purposes (e.g., an early morning flight, a late-night event nearby), and are prepared to potentially compromise significantly on comfort, cleanliness, and service quality. It could perhaps serve as a very basic, last-minute option for someone needing a bed near the Pudu area with direct public transport access, assuming they are fully aware and accepting of the widely reported deficiencies. For most locals who expect a reasonable standard of comfort and service, exploring other options in the vicinity, perhaps after direct verification of the hotel's current condition and amenities, would be a more prudent approach.

Xpeed Holiday Hotel Reviews
Summary of problems:-Scam on booking (over priced and incorrectly categorized)-Poor staff quality-Bug infestation (cockroach and gecko)-Broken fridge-Dirty sheets-Non-functional curtainStayed for two nights. The problems started as soon as we got to our room. The bed had a giant foot mark on it, we asked to change it and they did. Later, when we got to bed we noticed that there was another foot mark but on the pillow case. The fridge was broken, when we opened it to store the fruit we bought the same day we arrived, there was water everywhere inside and it was not properly cooled. The curtain didn't do its job at all, the size does not match the window size nor does it cover any sunlight from getting in, furthermore, the room was on the fifth floor with a slight edge on the outside, there was no net on the window to prevent bugs or other animals from getting in (due to the location of this hotel it was a must to keep it animal free). Later at night (first night) I noticed a bug frantically crawling inside one of the bed lamps, called the hotel staff because it looked like a spider from the outside. When the hotel staff got to the room it already had crawled outside the lamp and went under the bed (before the staff got to the room I saw that it was a cockroach and not a spider). The staff sprayed a strong bug killer across the bed and told us they couldn't change the room that night only the following day they would make arrangements to change it, so as a temporary measure we should just leave the window open to air out the room (at 2am). Because the bug spray was so strong we not only had the window open but also the hallway door open and couldn't go to sleep until around 5am when the smell and air finally started to thin out. The next day when we got to the hotel after exploring the city we were expecting a room change, however, the staff on call said no room change was made available to us and that if we wanted to change the room it was only possible the next day, so we went to sleep in the same room. Additionally, we asked for three towels instead of two because my wife was washing her long hair that night, so two towels for her (one for her hair and one for her body) and one towel to me, the main receptionist at the time said it was impossible to give three towels the maximum allowed was two, this would have been fine if it wasn't for the fact the previous day WE ASKED AND RECEIVED THREE TOWELS. The morning of checkout we were "pleasantly surprised" by a giant gecko crawling from the TV to where we stored our clothes. My final point after writing all of this is that when I booked this hotel it was advertised as a three star hotel and I had an 80% discount on it (my genius 3 discount plus a getaway discount) and I paid 30 euros for two nights (which to this day I'm still unsure if it was half price or full price for two people, clarification below)***. This means that the price per night for this hotel was originally close to 100 euros (50 per night).*** When booking this hotel for two guests I couldnt book just one room, I booked two room and cancelled one which cut the price to half (30 euros instead of 60). I contacted the property on booking via message and also via WhatsApp. Both answered me in an unclarified manner if I had to pay more at the property for having two people or not. I called and they said I didn't and when I arrived I didn't have to pay extra for being two people instead of one.We didn't capture all in a photo format but there are quite a few down below (I assure you the cockroach on the photo is very alive, it fell from on its back)
Jun 01, 2025 · Leonardo AlexandreWe recently stayed at Xpeed Holiday Hotel and wanted to share my feedback. The staff were incredibly welcoming and understanding, which made for a great stay. I was impressed with the level of service from the front desk to the housekeeping staff. The room was spacious and clean, and the amenities provided were top-notch. I also enjoyed the convenience of being able to order room service and have it delivered in a timely manner.Overall, we had a great experience at Xpeed Holiday Hotel and would definitely recommend it to others. Please pass on my compliments to the staff for their hard work and dedication to making my stay comfortable and enjoyable.
Dec 09, 2022 · G LarongEverything was a bad experience. Although I didn't pay for the booked room as it wasn't a necessary requirement, I was deny to stay in the hotel due to full occupancy. I was already tired from long distance travelling and roaming around KL, and when I went to check into the hotel at 10pm, the staff wasn't remorse at all when she told me about this devastated issue. The hotel should let the customers know earlier so that they can find other places to stay for night, instead of waiting for the customers to come to the premise and being presented with such unpleasant notice. I'll definitely choose not to stay at this hotel despite of its location near the KL golden triangle.
Mar 29, 2022 · Princess IncognitoI cannot rate the rooms or the services as I was not able to stay at the Hotel even though I have booked a room there.I booked and confirmed my room via one of the online hotel booking services...But...I was told on arrival there at around 6pm, that even though I have booked and confirmed my stay,, there is no room for me and my family. They understandingly says that there is no cancellation fee as I have not paid yet.I understand the reason they gave me...I understand they have no rooms available despite I already confirmed my booking... Which is because there was problem with their housekeeping services and with the water supply...I understand that they cannot cope with room cleaning as they have full house the day before and they cannot cleans up the rooms fast enough for new customer. What upset me is that I arrived there at 6pm... and they were not able to inform me the whole day from morning till evening that my room is not available so that I could have looked for another place to stay...The hotel once they realise they cannot prepare rooms do those that have booked, they could have contacted that morning or even in the afternoon to tell me that they cannot fulfill my booking... That there is no room available for me and my family...When I ask is there any alternatives available, they reception told me to try to go to other places to ask...What they could have done is to give phone numbers of other hotels in the area so that the customers they rejects could find alternatives...During the time I was there trying to find other places to stay, I counted 5 other groups of customers getting rejected even though they have booked their stay just like me...One other things. There are only 10 car parking bays available. They have 50-60 rooms but only have 10 parking bays. 5 in front of the hotel and 5 behind the hotel.Cars number 11 and above needs to park along the road behind the hotel.
May 04, 2022 · Chieng Dih ChuanVery bad experience! I book 4 room through booking.com for 01/05 to 03-05, when we reach KL suddenly receive message from hotel said technical issue then direct cancel our booking. Then we call reception to confirm & they said our booking already cancel & no more room to us. We force to search another hotel for last minute. This make us bad feeling. No suggest for others to booking this hotel
