Among these, Bumbun Cegar Anjing provides a truly rustic and immersive camping cabin experience, appealing to adventurous souls eager to see wildlife in its natural habitat.
Bumbun Cegar Anjing is not your typical hotel or chalet; it is designed for the intrepid explorer. Reviews from real customers consistently highlight its 'rustic' nature, emphasizing that it's 'perfect for spotting wildlife'. This clarity in expectation is crucial for us, as locals, who understand that a true jungle experience prioritizes immersion over luxury. Imagine spending an 'awesome overnight stay' where the main goal is to 'look for mammals attracted to the salt lick', an experience that truly connects you with the wild heart of Pahang.
Past visitors have been fortunate enough to 'saw a tapir, mouse deer, and a few sambar deer', with 'evidence of elephants in the area' and the tantalizing possibility of seeing them visit the hide. Hearing the call of a 'rhinoceros hornbill nearby' further adds to the enchantment of this unique setting. These firsthand accounts reinforce the bumbun's primary purpose: an unparalleled vantage point for wildlife observation.
It's important to note that visiting Bumbun Cegar Anjing requires preparation and a sense of adventure. We had an awesome overnight stay here!Accommodations are very rustic, but for spotting wildlife it’s perfect. We stayed up to look for mammals attracted to the salt lick. We saw a tapir, mouse deer, and a few sambar deer. There was evidence of elephants in the area and they are known to visit the hide although we didn’t get lucky. We also heard a calling rhinoceros hornbill nearby.Note that you do need a guide to visit here. Originally we were wanting to visit Bumbun Kumbang but it was closed due a tree fall. This was a nice alternative.
May 13, 2023 · Lydia PleasantsIt’s accessible with boat, a good place for hiding and waiting to visit animals. There is some beds for staying over night and also toilets but I’m not sure it was usable. It’s not clean. But ok for a wild stay.
