Co Living Residential @ Taman Mutiara Introduce
Are you a local in Kuala Lumpur looking for a private and affordable room to rent, particularly in the Cheras area? Co Living Residential @ Taman Mutiara positions itself as a solution for those seeking a private guest room within a co-living environment. This type of accommodation focuses on providing individual, private spaces within a larger shared living concept, often appealing to students, young professionals, or individuals looking for a temporary yet stable place to stay without the full commitment of an apartment lease. It aims to offer a practical and budget-conscious alternative to traditional hotels or rental apartments, especially for those who appreciate the communal aspects of co-living while maintaining their personal privacy.
It is important for prospective guests to note that while the concept of co-living offers community and convenience, experiences can vary. Some customer feedback regarding Co Living Residential @ Taman Mutiara has highlighted concerns about service attitude, pricing, and initial communication, particularly in relation to specific requirements for potential residents. This suggests that while it offers a private room, the overall experience might be geared towards a more specific type of tenant or resident, and thorough communication beforehand is crucial. However, for those who understand and fit the co-living model, it can still provide a suitable and accessible option in a key area of Kuala Lumpur.
Co Living Residential @ Taman Mutiara is strategically located at 18, Jalan Mutiara Barat 2, Cheras, 56000 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This address places it within Taman Mutiara Barat, a well-known and mature residential and commercial area in Cheras. For locals in Kuala Lumpur, this location signifies excellent connectivity and convenience to a host of amenities.
One of the significant advantages of this location is its proximity to the Taman Mutiara MRT Station. Jalan Mutiara Barat 2 is typically within a reasonable walking distance or a very short ride to the MRT station. The MRT offers seamless and efficient travel to major hubs across Kuala Lumpur, including Bukit Bintang, TRX, KLCC (via interchange), and other key areas. This public transport access is invaluable for daily commutes to work or university, as well as for exploring the city's attractions without the hassle of driving and parking in busy areas. For Kuala Lumpur residents, leveraging the MRT system is often the preferred mode of transport for convenience and to avoid traffic congestion.
For those who drive, the area also boasts good road accessibility. Jalan Mutiara Barat 2 connects easily to major roads like Jalan Cheras, which is a main arterial road in Kuala Lumpur. This provides access to major expressways such as the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2), the East-West Link Expressway, and other routes leading to various parts of Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. The immediate vicinity of Taman Mutiara Barat is well-served by local amenities. You'll find numerous eateries offering a wide range of local and international cuisine, convenience stores, pharmacies, local markets (including the famous Taman Connaught Pasar Malam on Wednesdays), and various other shops. The proximity to shopping malls like EkoCheras Mall (directly connected to Taman Mutiara MRT station) and Cheras Leisure Mall further enhances its appeal, offering extensive retail, dining, and entertainment options. This blend of residential tranquility with urban accessibility makes Co Living Residential @ Taman Mutiara a well-located option for locals seeking a private room in a convenient part of Kuala Lumpur.
Co Living Residential @ Taman Mutiara, as a private guest room within a co-living concept, typically offers services aimed at providing a hassle-free and inclusive living experience, albeit with some specific considerations mentioned in reviews:
- Private Room Accommodation: The core offering is a dedicated private room for individual tenants, ensuring personal space and privacy.
- Furnished Rooms: Rooms are generally fully furnished with essential items such as a bed, wardrobe, table, and chair, allowing tenants to move in with minimal fuss.
- Air Conditioning: Rooms are typically equipped with air conditioning for comfort in the tropical climate.
- Shared Bathroom Facilities (likely): While it's a private room, in a co-living setup, bathrooms might be shared among a few residents on the same floor or within the same unit, or they could be private en-suites depending on the room type (needs verification).
- High-Speed Internet (Wi-Fi): Reliable internet access is a common feature in co-living spaces, crucial for work, study, and leisure.
- Utilities Included: Often, the rental price in co-living spaces is inclusive of basic utilities such as water and electricity (though specific limits may apply).
- Regular Cleaning Services: Common areas are usually cleaned regularly, and sometimes private rooms receive periodic cleaning services, contributing to a hygienic living environment.
- Maintenance Support: Basic maintenance issues within the premises are typically handled by the management or maintenance team.
- Security Features: Co-living spaces usually have security measures in place, such as CCTV surveillance and access control systems, to ensure resident safety.
- Access to Common Areas: Guests may have access to shared common areas like a living room, kitchen/pantry area, and possibly laundry facilities (washing machine).
Based on the provided customer review, it's crucial for prospective tenants to thoroughly clarify all services, pricing, and any specific protocols (such as medical checks or reports) before committing, as there appear to be unique requirements and communication challenges. It is vital to confirm what is precisely included in the stated price to avoid misunderstandings.
Co Living Residential @ Taman Mutiara, despite some challenges highlighted in reviews, presents several features that could appeal to locals in Kuala Lumpur looking for a private guest room solution:
- Strategic Location in Cheras: Its prime address in Taman Mutiara Barat means excellent accessibility to various parts of Kuala Lumpur. This neighborhood is well-known for its vibrant local scene, diverse food options, and established community feel.
- Direct Proximity to MRT Taman Mutiara: This is a significant advantage, offering unparalleled public transport connectivity. Residents can easily commute to key business districts, shopping hubs, and entertainment zones in KL city center without needing a car.
- Affordable Living Option (Comparative): While the mentioned price of RM1,700 for a "run-down" photo might seem high to some, in the context of Kuala Lumpur's rental market, co-living spaces are often presented as a more affordable and flexible alternative to renting a full apartment, especially if utilities and basic services are included. It's crucial for interested individuals to evaluate the value proposition based on their specific needs and the actual condition upon viewing.
- Furnished and Ready-to-Move-In: The convenience of a fully furnished room means tenants can move in with minimal hassle and upfront costs for furniture, which is appealing for short-term stays or those transitioning into the city.
- Access to Local Amenities: The area around Taman Mutiara offers a wealth of amenities, including a variety of local eateries, convenience stores, and the EkoCheras Mall, all within easy reach. This enhances the daily living experience, providing everything one needs steps away.
- Community Aspect (Potential): While not explicitly detailed for this specific property, the "co-living" model generally aims to foster a sense of community among residents through shared spaces and interactions, which can be a valuable feature for those new to the city or looking to expand their social circle.
Prospective tenants are strongly advised to conduct a thorough site visit, clarify all terms and conditions, and communicate directly with the management about any concerns raised in reviews, particularly regarding pricing and specific requirements, to ensure the place meets their expectations.

For residents of Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Co Living Residential @ Taman Mutiara presents a viable option for a private guest room, particularly for those who prioritize location and a more flexible living arrangement. While some concerns have been raised in customer reviews, understanding its core offerings can highlight its suitability for specific local needs.
Firstly, its location in Taman Mutiara, Cheras, is a significant advantage for locals. Cheras is a well-established and vibrant part of KL, known for its strong community feel, diverse food scene, and abundance of amenities. Being situated on Jalan Mutiara Barat 2 means easy access to local shops, eateries, and markets, providing a genuine local living experience. Crucially, the proximity to the Taman Mutiara MRT Station makes it an exceptionally convenient base for daily commutes. Locals can effortlessly travel to various parts of the city – for work, study, or leisure – without having to contend with Kuala Lumpur's notorious traffic, which is a major plus point.
Secondly, the concept of a "private guest room" within a co-living setup can appeal to a specific segment of the local population. For students attending nearby institutions, young professionals seeking a temporary base, or individuals undergoing transitional periods (e.g., home renovations, short-term project work), a furnished room with utilities often included and shared facilities can be a practical and often more affordable alternative to renting a full apartment. It removes the hassle of setting up utilities and purchasing furniture, allowing for a quicker and smoother move-in process. While the mentioned price and "run-down" appearance in one review are points of concern, the underlying model offers a cost-effective solution compared to traditional rentals in KL, particularly if other benefits like location and included services are factored in.
In conclusion, while potential residents should exercise due diligence by confirming all details and perhaps visiting the premises, Co Living Residential @ Taman Mutiara remains a strategically located private room option in Cheras. It offers the fundamental convenience of a furnished room with excellent public transport access, making it a functional choice for Kuala Lumpur locals seeking flexible and accessible accommodation.

Co Living Residential @ Taman Mutiara Reviews
Very bad service attitude. Lady who answered wanted medical report. I told her I can provide potential client's details of illness but she insisted on report and want to have medical check. This is not a free nursing home and as such I think all the protocols are unnecessary. Furthermore, she mentioned price starts from RM1,700. This is certainly exorbitant because the photo of home looks rundown and what more with this woman's probing
