Look no further than Metro Hotel Bukit Bintang, a practical and well-situated option for your next stay in Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur.
Metro Hotel Bukit Bintang offers a functional and accessible experience, designed for those who prioritize location and straightforward amenities. While it aims to provide a comfortable stay, it's important to set expectations – it’s a hotel known more for its incredible accessibility to KL’s hotspots than for luxurious indulgences. For locals, this means you get a strategic spot to explore our city’s most exciting areas, whether you're rediscovering familiar favourites or venturing into new corners of Bukit Bintang.
The hotel is often chosen by travellers who want to be right where the action is, allowing them to maximize their time enjoying the city's offerings rather than spending it on commutes. Its position makes it incredibly easy to access major shopping malls, bustling food streets, and public transportation, which is a huge plus for anyone navigating our dynamic capital. Consider it your practical and efficient home base for an urban adventure, offering the essentials you need for a comfortable rest after a busy day out. For a local staycation, it means you can leave your car behind and truly immerse yourself in the walkable delights of Bukit Bintang.
---The standout feature of Metro Hotel Bukit Bintang is undoubtedly its prime location. You’ll find it at 208, Jln Pudu, Bukit Bintang, 55100 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This address places you squarely in the core of Bukit Bintang, one of Kuala Lumpur's most celebrated and energetic districts. For us locals, this means unbeatable access to some of the city’s premier attractions and conveniences.
Imagine being just a two-minute walk from Berjaya Times Square, a massive complex featuring a shopping mall, indoor theme park, and countless dining options. Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, another iconic shopping destination, is practically just behind the hotel, offering an upscale retail experience. And for those who live to eat, Jalan Alor, Kuala Lumpur’s famous food street, is only a few minutes' walk away. This vibrant street truly comes alive at night, buzzing with an incredible array of local delicacies and international flavours until the early hours of the morning (typically 3-4 am!).
Beyond shopping and dining, the hotel's location offers excellent connectivity to public transportation. The Bukit Bintang MRT and Monorail stations are both within very easy walking distance. These stations provide seamless connections to almost every major part of Kuala Lumpur, including KL Sentral (the main transportation hub), KLCC (home to the majestic Petronas Twin Towers), and numerous other tourist attractions and business districts. This superb accessibility makes Metro Hotel Bukit Bintang an ideal choice for anyone, local or otherwise, who wants to explore KL without the hassle of navigating traffic or searching for parking. For us residents, it means you can pop over from other parts of KL quickly and efficiently, perhaps for a weekend stay without needing your car at all.

Metro Hotel Bukit Bintang Reviews
Absolutely loved our stay at Metro Hotel during our recent trip to Malaysia. The room was clean and well-equipped with a TV, internet, mini fridge, and locker. However, it lacked a full-length mirror, which is something most girls would appreciate — we had to manage with a small one inside the bathroom. The location is perfect, right in the city center with Berjaya Times Square just a 2-minute walk away. Pavilion is just behind the hotel, and Jalan Alor food street is a few minutes' walk and buzzing till 3–4 am. The staff were courteous and ensured the room was well-cleaned every day. The hotel restaurant food was also good. Would definitely consider staying here again!
Apr 07, 2025 · Keerthy Jayakumar0 stars.Worst hotel ever.Though it is located in a good location the staff, management, rooms and food all are pathetic. The front desk is helpless and are ungrateful and unwelcoming.Zero hospitality - They don't even serve water to their guests leave alone any welcome drink. We had to carry our luggage by ourselves. Rooms are very small, bathrooms are laughable because no taps and no amenities. They only provide a small soap and shampoo. You are allowed to have only two water bottles of 500 ml each.Housekeeping is available only once and only during the day.If you ask for any assistance from their staff, they are unwilling to help and their only reply was that- Go and ask the front desk.Worst part is that they switch off the AC in between and the rooms become extremely suffocating. If you want only good then it is fine, otherwise worst stay ever.
Jun 06, 2025 · Ankita DixitReview Title: Very Bad Experience — Not a Hotel, More Like a HostelI recently stayed at The Metro Hotel Bukit Bintang in Kuala Lumpur for 7 days with my family, and the experience was extremely disappointing.Firstly, this is not a hotel — it feels more like a lodge or hostel. The room was very old with dirty, worn-out carpets, missing furniture (which seems to have been removed as it was too old), and no mirror in the room. Lighting was very poor, and overall the room looked very depressing. The hotel lobby was completely empty, giving the impression that this hotel may soon shut down. The service was terrible. I requested a towel but never received one. The front desk staff, especially one lady at the reception (who seemed Indian), was extremely rude. When I complained about the poor condition of the room and lack of furniture, she simply said: “We don’t provide much furniture.”The breakfast was another huge letdown — the same limited options every day: rice, baked beans, sambar that tasted like curd, and idlis without proper chutney. Only one fruit (usually watermelon) was served. No boiled eggs, no omelette, no baked items, and no live counters. The hotel doesn’t even have a proper restaurant. I had to buy curd and breakfast items from 7-Eleven daily and eat them in the hotel breakfast area because of the lack of options.Overall, it felt like I was staying in a jail, not a hotel. I would never recommend this place to anyone. It completely spoiled our trip experience.Thank you.
Jun 15, 2025 · tishu ChoudharyDisappointing Stay at Hotel Metro Kuala LumpurI recently stayed at Hotel Metro Kuala Lumpur, and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. Here's a breakdown of the issues I faced:- *Poor Reception*: Upon arrival, the receptionist, Mr. Rafiq, was quite rude and unwelcoming, He took a long time to attend to us, didn't greet us properly, and simply handed over the room keys without any further assistance. We had to take our luggage and find our room on our own, which was quite inconvenient.- *Maintenance Issues*: My room (1004) had several issues. The washbasin was clogged, which I reported to the staff. However, no action was taken to fix the issue during my stay. Additionally, the air conditioning in the room didn't cool properly, making it uncomfortable to stay.- *Basic Amenities*: The washroom was also lacking in terms of basic amenities. What was advertised as a "jet spray" was simply a pipe with no proper jet spray functionality. This was quite disappointing and added to the overall discomfort of my stay.- *Lack of Attention to Detail*: What struck me as particularly unacceptable was seeing luggage belonging to guests of other nationalities being transported in a luggage trolley, while it seemed like the staff didn't care much about the Indian guests. This kind of behavior comes across as discriminatory and unwelcoming.Overall, my stay at Hotel Metro Kuala Lumpur was below average, the poor reception, maintenance issues, lack of basic amenities, and lack of attention to detail made it a disappointing experience. Unless the hotel takes steps to address these issues, I wouldn't recommend it to others.Hope this review helps!
Jun 06, 2025 · Rithambara RajputStayed at this hotel 2 times, each for 2 nightsLocation (9/10)• Easy public transportation access, near KL Monorel Imbi station, walking distance less than 5 minutes• Near Bukit Bintang, walking distance. It’s very near (1 alley away) but the traffic is very not crowded compared to Bukit Bintang• Near Alor Street, walking distance• There’s 3 convenience story nearby, including 7ERoom (8.5/10)We ordered family room (2 king size bed).• Bed is spacious for 2 person• Air conditioning (for room 1011 works fine, very cold. For room 9011 a little bit hot at noon but quite cold at night.)• The room is quite big, we brought 4 lugage with us and the space is still spacious• If you’re from abroad, please bring universal adaptor to charge.• At the first 2 night we thought that the hot water not working, turns out there’s hot water switch outside the bathroom• Oh and for other reviews that complaining about the water jet, i just know too that most water jet in Malaysia shapes like that🤣Cleanliness (7/10)• For the first 2 nights we stayed at room 1011. For our 2nd visit, the hotel firstly gave us room 7011, but it smells like socks so we change to 9011 and the room is fine.• The floor is carpeted, it just felt disgusting as the hotel do not provide sandals.• They will clean your room once at noon and gave you 500ml water for each person• The bed and bathroom is spotlessAmenities (8/10)• There’s gym, I didn’t go to the gym tho.• WiFi is available, but it’s faster to use my own data.• Toileteries: shower gel, shower cap, sanitaries bag, soap bar is available. There’s no toothbrush and toothpaste• Kettle and fridge is availableService (8/10)• The check in and check out is very fast• The front desk is friendly and helpful, we ask for small change exchange and they willing to help to exchange.• For hotel that not really that cheap (IDR750.000/night) i wish they could bring our lugage up to our room. I don’t expect lavish service since the hotel is not that expensive, but it is not a budget hotel, so i hope the service could be improved.Overall we love our experience here. Just hope that they can improve the service and ditch the old rug from the room (Please!)Oh and the lobby smells so nice, please tell me what perfume they use if some of you know!☺️
