For those of us living in or frequently visiting Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, finding a hotel that balances budget with a good location is key. This article aims to give you a clear and factual overview of OYO 334 Everest Hotel, helping you decide if it’s the right fit for your next short stay or business trip in the city.
Located amidst the bustling energy of Kuala Lumpur’s City Centre, OYO 334 Everest Hotel offers a no-frills approach to accommodation, focusing on providing a convenient base for exploring the city. We understand that as locals, you might be looking for a quick and easy staycation, a place to rest during a layover, or perhaps accommodation for visiting friends or family who want to experience the city's pulse without breaking the bank. Let’s dive deeper into what OYO 334 Everest Hotel has to offer.
One of the most significant advantages of OYO 334 Everest Hotel is its prime location. You'll find it at 23, Medan Pasar, City Centre, 50050 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This address places it squarely in the historical and commercial core of Kuala Lumpur, making it incredibly accessible and convenient for anyone looking to immerse themselves in the city’s vibrant atmosphere.
Being in City Centre means you’re just a stone's throw away from numerous popular landmarks and transportation hubs. For instance, the hotel is notably close to the iconic Central Market (Pasar Seni), a cultural landmark where you can find local handicrafts, art, and delicious street food. The famous Clock Tower is also within easy reach, adding to the charm of the immediate vicinity. This proximity to such key attractions means you can often walk to many places of interest, saving on transportation costs and time.
Public transportation options are abundant in this area. You'll find various bus stops and train stations (LRT and MRT) within a comfortable walking distance, connecting you seamlessly to other parts of Kuala Lumpur. Whether you’re heading to Bukit Bintang for shopping, KLCC for the Petronas Twin Towers, or even further afield for business, the excellent connectivity from City Centre makes OYO 334 Everest Hotel a practical choice. For those who drive, the hotel’s central location means it’s easily identifiable and reachable via major city roads, although parking availability might be subject to the usual city centre conditions.
As a budget hotel, OYO 334 Everest Hotel focuses on providing essential services to ensure a comfortable, albeit basic, stay. While specific detailed service lists are not always extensively advertised for budget hotels, based on general offerings and common practices for establishments of this type, you can typically expect the following:
- 24-Hour Front Desk Service: For your convenience, the hotel likely offers round-the-clock assistance for check-ins, check-outs, and any immediate inquiries or needs you might have during your stay.
- Air-Conditioned Rooms: Given Kuala Lumpur’s tropical climate, air conditioning is a standard amenity in most hotels, including budget options, to ensure a comfortable room temperature.
- Private Bathrooms: Each room is expected to come with its own private bathroom, offering basic sanitation facilities.
- Television: Rooms are generally equipped with a television, providing some entertainment options.
- Complimentary Wi-Fi: Access to Wi-Fi is almost a necessity in today’s world, and budget hotels often provide this free of charge to guests. This allows you to stay connected, whether for work or leisure.
- Linen and Towels: Basic provisions of clean bed linen and towels are standard for any hotel stay.
- Basic Cleaning Service: While not elaborate, daily or regular basic room cleaning is usually provided to maintain hygiene.
It's worth noting that based on customer feedback, the room service might be virtually non-existent, indicating that guests should manage their expectations regarding in-room dining or extensive staff assistance beyond the front desk.
Beyond the basic services, OYO 334 Everest Hotel has certain features that stand out, especially for those prioritizing location and affordability. Here are some of its highlights:
- Prime Location in City Centre: This is arguably the hotel’s biggest selling point. Its strategic position makes it incredibly convenient for tourists and locals alike to explore Kuala Lumpur's key attractions, dining spots, and business districts without extensive travel.
- Proximity to Central Market and Clock Tower: As mentioned, being so close to these cultural and historical landmarks is a significant advantage, offering easy access to shopping, dining, and cultural experiences.
- Budget-Friendly Accommodation: For those looking to maximize their travel budget, OYO 334 Everest Hotel offers a cost-effective solution for a short stay in a central location.
- Small, Yet Potentially Comfortable Rooms: While some reviews indicate rooms can be very small, others describe them as comfortable, implying that for a budget stay, they serve their purpose for resting.
- Friendly Nepali Community: Some reviews highlight the presence of a friendly Nepali community, which could potentially refer to the hotel staff or the general atmosphere surrounding the hotel, adding a unique cultural touch to the experience.
However, it’s important to acknowledge some of the highlighted areas for improvement based on public feedback: reports of extremely small rooms, proximity of beds to toilets in some configurations, potential for unpleasant odors from the toilet, presence of mold, lack of windows in some rooms, and noise from rats on the ceiling. These are critical points for prospective guests to consider and manage their expectations accordingly, as they reflect common challenges for some budget accommodations in dense urban areas.

Oct 09, 2017 · V KAffordable. Good service. Facilities are the one to be improved, (the tv is not functioning but it's ok as the wifi is fast). Location also nice. Not too busy yet quite near to LRT station. Will repeat staying here soon maybe. Thank you
Feb 24, 2020 · Aiman SallehTotally dissapointed when i enter this room. From OYO app the space is more bigger, its look luxury, not to confined . We booked for 3 single bed but we got 1 queen sized n 1 single bed eventho it is a small matter but its really affected us. The tv was not functioning well because its stuck while watching it. I hope OYO will take an extra action to make sure what did u posted in App Are really same with the real one. OR just post the real picture in your app so people like me did not get cheated. The positive site are the bed, shower and aircond. All of these are functioning well.
