This adds significant value to the visit, offering live demonstrations and engaging presentations without any additional cost for the main shows.
- Group Rates (Likely Available): For school excursions or large family groups, it is common for science centres to offer special group rates, although specific details would need to be confirmed directly with the centre's administration. This promotes group learning and makes it an even more economical outing.
- OBSKURA (Virtual Reality) Option: While OBSKURA requires an additional ticket, it can be viewed as a premium "add-on offer" for those seeking a more immersive and cutting-edge virtual reality experience, complementing the core exhibits.
For specific holiday programs, temporary exhibitions, or any short-term special events, visitors are advised to check the official website of Pusat Sains Negara or their social media channels, as these are the primary platforms for announcing such unique offerings. Pusat Sains Negara Kuala Lumpur Reviews
The ticket price is incredibly affordable, making it a great destination for students, kids, and even adults to enjoy. At the entrance, you’re greeted with a display of freshwater fishes, which is such a delightful way to start the visit. The space is divided into various sections, including science, IT, marine life, forests, and more. Each section is interactive, allowing you to try out different activities—though you may need to wait for your turn. One of the highlights is how hands-on everything is, which makes it engaging for visitors of all ages. However, I was a bit disappointed with the IT section as many exhibits were closed during my visit, so I couldn’t fully enjoy that part. Hopefully, it will be improved soon. For adults who have been out of school for a while, this place is a fantastic way to refresh your knowledge while having fun. It’s a mix of education and entertainment, perfect for a family outing or even a casual day trip.Tickets are super affordable, with adult Malaysians paying only RM6, and there’s no long queue to purchase them. If you’re interested in the science shows, be sure to check their schedule—they’re held twice daily at 11 AM and 3 PM (if I recall correctly).Overall, it’s a fun and educational experience that’s worth a visit!
Dec 16, 2024 · Hazira AdamGreat educational place for the entire family. Various sections with hands-on exhibits - you can spend a good two hours covering everything.Affordable ticket prices at RM6 per adult and RM3 for children between 7-12 years old. Do take note you need to purchase additional tickets to access OBSKURA (virtual reality section).
Dec 24, 2024 · AlannaWe recently visited, looking forward to an educational science experience. The exterior was very impressive, with a beautiful rainbow-colored dome roof that added to the excitement. Tickets were RM6 for adults, and the center closes at 5pm.Upon entering, we enjoyed the aquarium area, where we could observe fish swimming above us through a glass bridge. Inside, the exhibitions covered basic science topics, like natural phenomena, anatomy, radiation principles and so on. However, some equipment was outdated, and a few displays weren’t functioning. Overall, the exhibits seemed better suited for younger visitors as an introduction to science, while for us as adults, they were less engaging.Since we arrived a bit late, we only explored the main science exhibition and missed several other areas, such as the Pocket Garden, Herbs Garden, Pre-Historic Garden and more. If you’re planning a visit, it’s best to arrive early to fully explore these different zones. In summary, it was a decent experience, especially for families with kids. We hope that with some maintenance, the center could offer an even better experience in the future.
Nov 01, 2024 · Yue AanThis place is amazing!!! Highly recommend if you're looking for a fun and educational day with your kids. Plus you can't beat the incredibly low ticket price 🤩
Feb 17, 2025 · Bashpacking Travel1.Facilities need to have big big upgrade and maintenance.2.Some places closed, still under construction3.Pay extra money for DBSKURA XR but nothing much to see and play.4.Building quite old, 3rd and 4th floor not open, for staff only. So basically only ground floor and 1st floor available for visitor.Really waste of time and money, totally not worth it, not recommend to visit.Cannot believe this is a "national" science center, very low quality.Sorry for giving one star only, because my kids feel nothing much to play and quite boring.
