Abang Adik Kopitiam Reviews
First time eating here, had lunch while doing some gadget and computer accessory shopping, it was packed but the staff was very quick and organised! Small place but tables are conviniently arranged, I had pan mee with ice lemon tea, it was delicious and reasonably priced! Will definetly go again and try other food. Recommend!
May 30, 2024 · Subathiran Subramaniam (vyzvam)Visited Oct 22Place was bright and clean. Order taking was fairly fast. Drinks and food came fairly fast too, except for a drink that took a reminder to arrive. Regular cafe fare and pricingServers could smile a bit though, after we thanked him for bringing the food and utensils. The eatery environment is fairly relaxed, away from others situated on LG, where there's always a crowdE-payment is accepted here
Oct 25, 2022 · Piotr LeongHappened to be working in Low Yat for a whole 2 weeks and I had been having my lunch at this restaurant on most of the days. First of all, great service. The staffs are friendly and attentive, orders are served fairly quick. They offer set lunches where you get a main meal with either iced lemon tea or iced teh o. Extra charges are imposed if you request for other beverages.Drinks are surprisingly good. Kopi and teh (hot & iced) taste smooth and aromatic. The amount of creamer and condensed milk used is just nice, so do the temperature. It is not boiling hot and I managed to take a sip right after it was sent to me. Iced lemon tea is refreshing and thirst-quenching. However, the Nescafe is a bit too milky. Overall, I would say that this is pretty impressive as the barista looks really young, and cute too :)Food wise, unfortunately, I feel that it needs vast improvement. Here's what I have tried and my verdict:1) Wantan Mee: The dumplings are amazing, generous filling and flavorful. Noodle is okay, tastes authentic and springy. The chicken mushroom topping is yummy.2) Mee Siam: Superb. The paste tastes good and legit. Might consider adding more toppings such as fried firm tofu, chicken pieces or shrimp.3) Pan Mee: Horrendous. The texture is very off, too soft and seems overcooked. Toppings are okay, but the poached egg is a failure, overcooked as well, hence no runny yolks.4) Tom Yum: This is the ultimate bomb. Sour, spicy and super flavorful. One of the best selection on their menus.5) Nasi lemak: Very fragrant and well-cooked rice. However, sambal is too sweet for my liking, no spiciness detected.6) Yee Mee soup: Very salty. The chicken pieces are un-fresh and there is kind of 'freezer' taste.7) Curry chicken: The kuah taste very good and creamy, though a bit oily. Chicken is a big let down. It tastes very bland and not well-marinated.8) Mama mee: Very salty.9) Curry laksa: Not bad, creaminess and spiciness quite on point. A good one.10) Buttermilk chicken rice: The chicken itself and coleslaw are alright. The buttermilk sauce is lousy. No butter taste at all and it is too thick.11) Butter soy chicken rice: Acceptable.12) Fried shallots (as topping): Awful. Not crispy, very soggy and do not taste fresh.Other than that, this restaurant adopts the open kitchen concept where we can see how the chefs prepare our meals. If you pay enough attention, some of them do not wear gloves (and sometimes aprons!) when cooking. Yet, another comedown. All in all, this is a convenient place for a quick lunch if you are working in the mall.
