The entrance to the Kazumi trail is unassuming. You can see the park signboard but that's it. There is no gate or clear passage way in. You just plunge yourself to the thicket. But don't worry. Once under the foliage you'll find that trails are clearly marked. The first point of interest should be the small waterfall and a creek. Then after that you will start to see why this place got called 'Bukit Dinding' (Wall Hill). Most of the climbs were almost vertical. Luckily they fix sturdy guide ropes. Best to bring climbing gloves to prevent blistering hands. But it's not going to be vertical all the way to the top. There are stretches where you can stroll. Go for Check Point 2 where there is rendevous point for all the trails before the peak. From there, the peak is just a brisk hike away.If you just want to enjoy the view you can use vehicles to about two thirds of the way. Take the other entrance from Bukit Dinding Bistro and drive all the way to Check Point 2.Once you are at the peak, take some pictures. Greet the other hikers you meet up there. Pet the local stray. But don't stop there. Continue your to the two lookout points. The two lookout points were very rewarding. One side looking out to downtown Kuala Lumpur, the other side looking out to Wangsa Maju area where you can see where the urban area meets Titiwangsa Massif.Once you rest, soaked up the view, limber your sore feet, you can start the hike down. Expect the hike down to be as challenging as up. - Barkah Yusuf

Whether you're a seasoned hiker or just looking for a new way to stay active, Bukit Dinding offers a diverse and rewarding experience right at your doorstep.

Bukit Dinding, which translates to "Wall Hill," truly lives up to its name, presenting sections that feel almost vertical, demanding a good level of stamina and determination. Yet, it's not exclusively for the ultra-fit. Its varied terrain caters to different fitness levels, making it a popular spot for both intense workouts and leisurely strolls through nature. Imagine trading the sounds of city traffic for the chirping of birds, and the concrete jungle for towering trees – that's the essence of a Bukit Dinding adventure. This article aims to provide a comprehensive guide to the Bukit Dinding Hiking Trail (Kazumi), helping you plan your next urban nature escapade.

Location and Accessibility

The Bukit Dinding Hiking Trail (Kazumi) is conveniently located at Waizuri 1, Seksyen 5 Wangsa Maju, 54200 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. While you can spot the park signboard, there isn't a grand gate or a clearly defined passage. Instead, you embark on your adventure by simply plunging into the thicket. However, do not be deterred by this initial impression; once you are under the dense foliage, you'll discover that the trails are surprisingly well-marked, guiding you through the natural labyrinth.

For those who prefer a less strenuous approach to enjoying the views, there's also an alternative entrance. You can access the trail from the Bukit Dinding Bistro side and drive approximately two-thirds of the way up to Check Point 2. This option is particularly useful for individuals who may have mobility limitations or simply wish to enjoy the summit views without the full climb. The proximity to residential areas and relatively straightforward navigation make Bukit Dinding a highly accessible natural retreat for urban dwellers, allowing for spontaneous hikes and regular outdoor workouts without requiring a long journey out of the city.
