Oh My God Private Kitchen | 我問天私房菜 Introduce
Greetings, food enthusiasts of Kuala Lumpur! In a city renowned for its diverse culinary landscape, the search for authentic, heartwarming Chinese cuisine often leads us to discover hidden gems. Today, we're shining a spotlight on one such establishment that has been serving up traditional flavours to the local community: Oh My God Private Kitchen | 我問天私房菜, affectionately known by many as WA Wen Tian. Nestled in Taman Ehsan, this restaurant offers a unique take on Chinese dining, emphasizing a "private kitchen" concept that promises a distinct culinary experience.
Oh My God Private Kitchen | 我問天私房菜 brings a taste of genuine Chinese cooking to the neighbourhood. The term "私房菜" (sīfángcài), or "private kitchen," often refers to restaurants that focus on a chef's specialty dishes, often based on family recipes or unique interpretations, providing a more intimate and personalized dining experience compared to larger, more commercial establishments. This approach aims to offer a sense of exclusivity and a deep dive into authentic, often regional, Chinese culinary traditions.
We understand that feedback from diners is crucial, and we acknowledge that while our food quality, including our noodles and Yong Tau Foo (YTF), has been appreciated for its taste and texture, some aspects like space and service during peak times have been noted for improvement. We truly value this constructive criticism and are continuously striving to enhance every aspect of your dining experience. Our commitment remains to serve delicious food that satisfies your cravings for authentic Chinese flavours.
For locals in Taman Ehsan and beyond, Oh My God Private Kitchen | 我問天私房菜 aims to be a go-to spot for dependable Chinese comfort food. It’s a place where the focus is on the rich heritage of Chinese cooking, bringing familiar and beloved dishes to your table. Oh My God Private Kitchen | 我問天私房菜 is conveniently located at 1599, Jalan E 3/5a, Taman Ehsan, 52100 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Taman Ehsan is a well-established residential and commercial area within Kuala Lumpur, known for its local amenities and community vibe.
While one customer review mentioned the location being "quite remote," this could be subjective depending on one's starting point within the sprawling Klang Valley. For residents of Taman Ehsan and neighbouring areas like Kepong, Selayang, or Sri Damansara, the restaurant is relatively accessible. Jalan E 3/5a is a local road within the Taman Ehsan grid, suggesting it’s nestled within a more residential or local commercial street, which contributes to its "private kitchen" feel rather than being on a busy main road.
For those driving, navigating to Taman Ehsan is straightforward via major roads and expressways that connect to this part of Kuala Lumpur, such as the LDP (Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong) or Jalan Kepong. Parking availability might primarily be street parking along Jalan E 3/5a or nearby commercial areas, which can sometimes be challenging during peak dining hours in residential enclaves, but generally manageable.
Public transportation options would likely involve a combination of ride-sharing services (Grab), local buses, or a short taxi ride from the nearest MRT or KTM Komuter stations. While there might not be a direct train station right at its doorstep, the connectivity of Kuala Lumpur's public transport system generally allows for reaching areas like Taman Ehsan with some transfers. The restaurant's local setting encourages a visit if you are "in the area" or specifically seeking out a neighbourhood Chinese dining experience.
Oh My God Private Kitchen | 我問天私房菜 (WA Wen Tian) focuses on providing a genuine Chinese dining experience, with its services primarily centered around its culinary offerings. Based on the nature of a "private kitchen" and typical Chinese eateries in Malaysia, here are the expected services:

While customer reviews mention the space "is not very spacious," it caters to a local clientele seeking a comfortable, informal meal.
- Authentic Chinese Cuisine: The main offering is a menu featuring traditional Chinese dishes, with highlights specifically mentioned as "noodles" with good texture and flavor, and "Yong Tau Foo" (YTF) with a good taste. The "private kitchen" concept suggests a focus on specialty dishes or family recipes that may not be commonly found elsewhere.
- Lunch and Dinner Service: Like most Chinese restaurants, Oh My God Private Kitchen likely operates during standard lunch and dinner hours, catering to daily meal requirements.
- Takeaway (Tapau) Options: For customers who prefer to enjoy their meals at home or on the go, takeaway services are typically available. This allows for convenience, especially during busy periods or for those who live nearby.
- Group Dining (Limited): While the restaurant "couldn't accommodate many people" as per a review, it generally caters to small to medium-sized groups and families looking for a more intimate dining setting.
- Beverage Selection: A standard range of Chinese teas, soft drinks, and local beverages would typically be available to complement the meals.
- Specialty Dishes (implied by 'Private Kitchen'): The "private kitchen" moniker suggests that the restaurant might feature unique or rotating signature dishes beyond the regular menu, encouraging repeat visits to discover new culinary delights.
The primary "service" of Oh My God Private Kitchen | 我問天私房菜 is its commitment to delivering flavorful and authentic Chinese comfort food, making it a culinary draw for those who appreciate traditional tastes in a local setting.
Oh My God Private Kitchen | 我問天私房菜 (WA Wen Tian) offers distinct features and highlights that contribute to its character and appeal as a local Chinese restaurant in Taman Ehsan, Kuala Lumpur. While some aspects have room for improvement, the core strengths are evident:
- Authentic Chinese Flavours and Specialties: The most significant highlight is its focus on authentic Chinese cuisine, particularly praised for its "noodles" with good texture and flavor, and "YTF taste is not bad." This suggests a commitment to traditional recipes and culinary execution that resonates with those seeking genuine local Chinese comfort food.
- "Private Kitchen" Concept: The "私房菜" aspect implies a unique, perhaps more personal or specialized, dining experience. This suggests a menu curated with signature dishes that might be family recipes or chef specialties, offering something distinct from typical commercial Chinese restaurants.
- Local Neighbourhood Gem: Situated in Taman Ehsan, the restaurant serves as a beloved local eatery. This makes it a convenient and familiar dining spot for residents, fostering a sense of community and providing a comfortable, accessible option for daily meals.
- Focus on Core Dishes: The positive mentions of noodles and Yong Tau Foo suggest these are key strengths. Restaurants that excel in a few core dishes often become go-to spots for those specific cravings, indicating mastery in those particular culinary areas.
- Value for Money (Implied): While not explicitly stated, local "private kitchens" or family-style eateries often offer good value for money, providing satisfying portions of quality food at reasonable prices, which is a key highlight for regulars.
- Potential for Growth and Improvement: Customer feedback, while candid about service and ventilation, also expresses hope for future improvements, indicating that the core food quality holds promise and potential for the restaurant to evolve into an even stronger local favourite.
- Casual and Unpretentious Setting: The restaurant’s relatively modest size and local setting contribute to a casual and unpretentious dining experience. This makes it an ideal spot for relaxed meals without the formality or higher prices of larger establishments.
These highlights collectively position Oh My God Private Kitchen | 我問天私房菜 as a noteworthy local Chinese restaurant, appealing to those who prioritize authentic flavours and a down-to-earth dining experience in their neighbourhood.
For a local "private kitchen" style Chinese restaurant like Oh My God Private Kitchen | 我問天私房菜 (WA Wen Tian), promotions and special offers typically differ from those found in large chain restaurants or fast-food establishments. Their value propositions often revolve around their consistent food quality and unique culinary approach. While specific, active promotions are not publicly detailed, here's what you might typically find or infer:
- Daily Specials / Chef's Recommendations: Instead of traditional discounts, the "special offer" often comes in the form of daily or weekly chef's recommendations. These could be seasonal dishes, limited-time creations, or a focus on a particular ingredient, encouraging regulars to try something new.
- Fixed Price Set Meals (Potentially): Some private kitchens might offer value-for-money set meals for individuals or small groups, especially during lunch hours, which include a main dish, rice, and a drink at a bundled price.
- Generous Portions: A common "offer" in local Chinese eateries is providing hearty and satisfying portions, ensuring customers feel they are getting good value for their money spent on each dish.
- Loyalty Through Quality: The most significant "promotion" for a restaurant like this is its consistent delivery of authentic, flavorful food, as highlighted by positive comments on their noodles and Yong Tau Foo. Satisfied repeat customers are the best testament to this value.
- Festive Menus (Seasonal): During major Chinese festivals (e.g., Chinese New Year, Winter Solstice), the restaurant might offer special festive menus or dishes that are only available for a limited period, catering to traditional celebratory dining.
- Early Bird or Late Night Specials (Less Common but Possible): Depending on their operating hours and customer flow, some eateries might offer slight incentives for dining during off-peak times, though this is not commonly advertised for private kitchens.
- Word-of-Mouth Recommendations: For local establishments, the best "promotion" often comes from satisfied customers spreading positive word-of-mouth within the community, encouraging new patrons to try their food.
To discover any specific "special offers" or unique dishes, the best approach is to visit Oh My God Private Kitchen | 我問天私房菜 directly or call them. Their staff will be able to inform you about any daily specials or current highlights that are not broadly advertised. The true "offer" here is the promise of authentic, comforting Chinese cuisine.

Oh My God Private Kitchen | 我問天私房菜 Reviews
**An Average Dining Experience at WA Wen Tian, Taman Ehsan**Recently, I dined at **WA Wen Tian** in Taman Ehsan and found it to be a decent experience overall. While the place is quite remote, it is worth a try if you're in the area. The **noodles** were not bad and had a good texture and flavor. The eatery itself is not very spacious, and I noticed that the air ventilation could be improved. This made the dining experience a bit less comfortable. However, the food quality was satisfactory, and I hope they continue to make improvements in the future.
Jan 10, 2025 · Aaron LeongYTF taste is not bad. But the service here is really bad. I ordered a thai style steam fish which I've ordered before, but they serve us a fried one and told us thai style is only fried fish. The waitress should have tell us it's not a steam style. They couldn't accommodate many people.Service sucks
Apr 27, 2025 · Joanne YapCame here after seeing a recommendation video from instagram ! Totally disappointed..Firstly,Waited one hour for food to be served, after one two dishes have to wait again.Second,Food tastes below average, dishes were all salty mostly and steamed fish wasn’t fresh at all, fishy taste and the lime ( Kat Zai ) chicken is awfully bad. The chicken tasted like frozen chicken with strong smell like it is not fresh. After eating we all felt sooo thirsty..Only Dong Po Pork meat was nice ! But still on the strong taste and flavour side.Overall not a pleasant experience and sadly to say it will be our first and last !Not recommended…
Oct 05, 2024 · Sleeping Morning GloryOrder the signature noodles soup, taste sweet n nice to eat. For this soup it's best to pair with "gui tiao", then wil be perfect marks. Place nice to stay n having lunch because with the aircond room. Coffee nice.
Mar 06, 2025 · michelle luaFood tastes mediocre but large portion. My aged mom ordered noodle in clear soup. Her bowl of noodle came with insufficient soup. My mom kindly requested to add a little bit of soup so that she can eat it easily. For several times We waved and said politely to ask for additional soup and both male servers just ignored our request. One of male staff finally came and told us the kitchen is running short of clear soup, hence not able to give us additional. It was 9.15am at the time. When taking orders they were quick to respond. But after that it was different a different story. My first and last time here.
