Dec 25, 2023 · Jegarupan VathumalaiRestoran Hakim Lama is my go-to spot for nasi kandar, and their ayam goreng with kuah campur is simply the best! The fried chicken is always crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. The mix of different curries (kuah campur) makes every bite rich and satisfying.Despite being a popular place with lots of customers, the service is impressively fast. The staff handles orders efficiently, so you never have to wait too long, even during peak hours. If you’re craving a solid nasi kandar experience with great taste and quick service, this place won’t disappoint!
Mar 10, 2025 · OMG VIRALRasa still maintain macam dulu, ayam goreng is the best still, but in Shah alam now we had many mamak to choose and they need to compete.
Aug 24, 2023 · ibrahim basiratI ordered the nasi kandar kuah campoq (mixed gravy) with fried chicken, black curry beef, salted egg and okra. Kuah campoq was spicy but a tad sweet for me. Not sure which gravy was sweet, otherwise I would tell them not to add the sweet gravy. The curried beef was not bad. Okra and salted egg were decent as it should be. The fried chicken was the highlight for me. Delicious and not the average mamak fried chicken. I'm giving the fried chicken 4.5 out of 5 stars. As for the price, I think it's a bit high for what I ordered. I live in Penang, the same plate of nasi kandar dishes would cost me rm3 to rm4 cheaper in Penang.Service here was poor as no one came to take order for drinks. I sat inside the aircond dining section. Other tables next to mine were waiting for over 10 minutes for a waiter. And it needed one customer to go call one staff from outside just to order drinks. The waiters were not attentive. Once the waiter came, there were around 5 tables waiting to order drinks. And even then, the waiter didn't come to my table to take my order. So I didn't get any drinks here, and by that time I was already half way finishing up my nasi kandar and couldn't be bothered to order a drink anymore. Also, when I arrive and sit at my table there was an empty table in front of me with plates and cups from the previous customers that were left unattended and were not cleaned until after I've finished eating. That is not how it should be for a restaurant. The staff need to be more alert with the surroundings.
